Nikhil Nair is an Indian actor and musician. He was born and raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu but hails from the state of Kerala. He has worked primarily in the Tamil and Malayalam film industries. Nikhil is the son of architect, Sajith Nair and Jyothi Nair.
Nikhil comes from a well-established film background. He is the nephew of Malayalam star Mohanlal and Producer Suresh Balaje of Wide-Angle Creations and Grand Nephew of Producer and Actor K. Balaje. Nikhil is cousins with Pranav Mohanlal and was introduced to cinema by his Producer Grandfather T. Balagopal.
Nikhil graduated with a Bachelor's degree in architecture from Hindustan University but his passion always lay in cinema.
Nikhil has completed extensive training under the guidance of acting coach S.S. Kalai Raani who is an Indian actor. She has worked with and trained several established artists.
He is a State level volleyball player and a state Level Taekwondo fighter. He has also trained in Kalaripayattu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and is a calisthenics enthusiast. On the music front, he is a guitarist. Nikhil's first film was Sarvam Thaala Mayam directed by Mr. Rajiv Menon. He then went on to do character roles in Hridayam and Naradan. He played the lead negative along with Guru Somasundaram in the Sony Liv Web series, Meme Boys. Nikhil then went on to play a pivotal role in the zee5 web series, Oru Kodai Murder Mystery.
He has done ads for brands such as Bumble, KP Namboodris toothpaste, Peps mattress, and Edureka.
