Heckyl's origin story and transformation into the Dark Ranger is explained in the Power Rangers comics, specifically in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #29 and #30. In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #35, Heckyl steals his mentor's Morpher and becomes the Dark Ranger by repurposing the Dark Energem that once possessed him. The comics provide a redemption arc for Heckyl, allowing him to make peace with his past as Snide and become a hero by using the very thing that corrupted him. This storyline expands on the conclusion of the Dino Charge season.
Audiences wondering how Heckyl gained his Dark Ranger powers prior to Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, look no further than the comics. Before the latest and potentially the final season of Power Rangers as we know it, Heckyl was originally introduced in 2015's Power Rangers Dino Charge as an antagonist who eventually reforms by the time it ends. He returns in Cosmic Fury,...

The Power Rangers story as told by former Pink Ranger Amy Jo Johnson will be even more expansive than fans initially expected. Initially, it was announced that Johnson, the actress behind the original Mighty Morphin Pink Ranger Kimberly Hart, would be collaborating with artist Matt Hotson for an all-new Power Rangers series. The announcement arrived as a part of Boom! Studios' Kickstarter campaign made to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Power Rangers with a collection of stories focusing on three decades worth of Ranger teams. The Power Rangers: A 30th Anniversary Comic Book Celebration soared passed its $250,000 Stretch Goal.
The response to news of Johnson's new Power Rangers comic was overwhelmingly positive, so much so that it justified the need for a further exploration into her point of view of the Power Rangers franchise. Amy Jo Johnson herself announced on Twitter that she'll be "kicking things off a little...

Almost 30 years have passed between Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ ending and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always. The Power Rangers reunion opened with the original Power Rangers fighting together, although only Zack and Billy removed their helmets. Once & Always raises the question of what happened to each original Power Ranger between Mighty Morphin and their 2023 reunion.
Some of the original Power Rangers characters continued to be part of the franchise even after the Zordon Era. Others, however, have been away from Power Rangers’ TV canon since Mighty Morphin. Here’s a breakdown of what every original Power Rangers did after Mighty Morphin and before Once & Always.
Trini (Mighty Morphin Yellow Ranger)
In Power Rangers’ TV canon, not much was revealed about what happened to Trini after Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The original Yellow Ranger quit the Power Rangers alongside Jason and Zack to go to a Peace Conference in Switzerland.

Monster Hunter blatantly sets up a sequel with its cliffhanger ending — here are the latest Monster Hunter 2 movie updates, including everything that's known about casting, story, release date, and more. Based on reactions to writer-director Paul W.S. Anderson's Monster Hunter, it seems that critics are less than impressed. Yet, general audiences appear to be enjoying their viewing experience and a release on streaming services has brought new interest. Based on the eponymous Capcom video game, Monster Hunter released in December 2020. Milla Jovovich headlines as Natalie Artemis, a U.S. Army Ranger who leads a United Nations mission in the desert.
When her squad experiences a strange storm, they inadvertently crossover into a parallel world that's inhabited by extremely large beasts. There, Artemis links up with a native warrior (martial artist Tony Jaa as The Hunter), who is initially skeptical of the Ranger but learns to appreciate her skill set and personality.

Austin St. John, who played Jason in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, is not returning for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always. The upcoming Power Rangers special will see actors from all Mighty Morphin seasons reuniting for an hour-long, scripted event celebrating Power Rangers’ 30th anniversary. Unlike previous Power Rangers anniversary specials, Once & Always will focus solely on the Mighty Morphin era.
The Mighty Morphin Rangers have fought together a few times since the original show, although most of the characters never removed their helmets. Power Rangers: Once & Always will be the first time since Mighty Morphin Power Rangers ended that the saga will actually revisit its very first team. Still, some original Power Rangers characters are missing from the Power Rangers: Once & Always cast, including Jason, the first Red Ranger.
Austin St. John Is Not In Power Rangers: Once & Always Likely Due To Legal Issues

Power Rangers changing colors happens quite often in the Power Rangers universe. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers introduced audiences to five easily recognizable heroes in the colors red, yellow, blue, black, and pink. From then on, each Power Rangers series has had a unique set of Rangers. Though Power Rangers characters changing their colors for a new series was more common during the Zordon Era, it continues to happen.
The Zordon Era refers to the period between Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Power Rangers in Space. These Power Rangers seasons were heavily interconnected, with several actors from the previous shows returning for the new ones. After Power Rangers in Space, Rangers changing their colors ahead of a new season or series became rare. Here is a breakdown of 12 times Power Rangers changed their colors in TV canon. Neither the Power Rangers comics’ continuity nor Power Rangers Super Megaforce’s Legacy transformations were considered for this list.
