"You have your mission, Doctor, and I have mine." Paladin has debuted a trailer for the film The Ottoman Lieutenant, another historical war drama, this one directed by Joseph Ruben. Set during the first World War (or "The Great War"), the film is about a woman who ends up in a love triangle between an American doctor and a dashing lieutenant for the Ottoman Imperial Army. Josh Hartnett stars as the American, Michiel Huisman as the lieutenant, and Hera Hilmar as the woman who comes between them. The cast includes Ben Kingsley, Haluk Bilginer, Affif Ben Badra, Paul Barrett, Jessica Turner and Peter Hosking. For whatever reason this reminds me of Bitter Harvest, and sadly both films look quite mediocre. Today we get a brand new trailer for Colombiana. Starring the gorgeous Zoe Saldana, the film looks to be a pure action thrill ride with Saldana playing a hot assassin for director Olivier Megaton (The Transporter 3). Eyeing a September 2nd release date, the film is finally starting to show off some footage and it's looking pretty exciting. Rounding out the cast are Michael Vartan, Amandla Stenberg, Callum Blue, Cliff Curtis, Jordi Mollà, Lennie James, Max Martini, Graham McTavish, Cynthia Addai-Robinson and Affif Ben Badra.

The Colombiana Movie Trailer has premiered. Olivier Megaton‘s Colombiana (2011), produced by Luc Besson, stars Zoe Saldana, Michael Vartan, Jordi Mollà, Lennie James, and Cliff Curtis. Colombiana‘s plot synopsis: “Cataleya Restrepo (Zoe Saldana) works for her uncle Emilio (Cliff Curtis) as a hitman by day, but her personal time is spent engaging in vigilante murders that she hopes will lead her to her ultimate target: the mobster responsible for her parents’ death.” After what Luc Besson was able to create with The Professional and Taken, is it any wonder that the trailer for Colombiana heralds a action film that looks this good. “No Sir!” There is a great score to the movie trailer as well. All things being equal though, The Mechanic remake looked good as well and it turned out to be generic and forgettable. Colombiana looks like a mixture of Hanna, The American, and Lucky Number Slevin.
