Aly Michalka is clearing up some rumors about her love life.

During an appearance with sister Aj Michalka on Alex Cooper‘s podcast Call Her Daddy, Aly, 35, responded to rumors and speculation that she secretly dated her Phil of the Future co-star Raviv Ullman.

Aj, then 33, then chimed in, saying, “Literally can attest: never even kissed.”

Aly went on to say that absolutely nothing romantic happened between her and Raviv, 38, who went by “Ricky Ullman” while filming the Disney Channel show from 2004 to 2006.

Instead, Aly said they “always had a friendship,” especially since Raviv was older than her.

“That age range felt huge,” Aly explained. “I was 13 and I think he was 16.”

However, the singer admitted that she had a small crush on Raviv back in the day.

The Masked Singer is back!

The quarter-finals of the mystery celebrity singing competition aired on Wednesday night (December 4) on Fox.

The show, which began in South Korea, features celebrities singing songs while wearing costumes and face masks concealing their identities until they’re eliminated. Throughout the season, the contestants provide clues to try and help the judges and fans figure out who is under the mask.

This season also features Ambassadors, who are all alums of the series, that have a special connection to each singer and will be providing major new clues about their friends’ identities.

During the episode, the Top Four – Wasp, Goo, Strawberry Shortcake, and Buffaloes – hit the stage for their quarter-finals performances.

While on stage, Strawberry Shortcake performed “Closer” by Tegan And Sara.

Actor Robert Buckley has grown his family! The iZombie alum revealed in a Thanksgiving post that he and his wife Jenny Wade welcomed their second baby together. The couple had not previously shared that they were expecting.

In a joint Instagram post, the ‘Twas the Date Before Christmas star and his wife shared a series of images featuring the newborn and some shots of Jenny during her pregnancy. The actor covered the faces of both of his children, as he does not share his children online. In the caption, Jenny wrote, “thankful is too small a word for this feeling .”

The couple did share that they have a daughter but did not reveal her name. Keeping this information private is not new for the couple. They also share a son whose name and birth date they haven’t revealed.

Aly & Aj are swapping the summer sunshine for the haze of midnight on their newly announced fifth studio album With Love From, set for release on March 15. Introducing the album, the sister duo has shared the breezy new single “Baby Lay Your Head Down.”

“Bringing you your next breakup anthem for the ex who’ll only see you in their dreams from now on,” Aly & Aj wrote on Instagram.

“Baby Lay Your Head Down” recounts the duo coming to the realization that a relationship may not have been what it seemed.

Aly & Aj are “laying low,” signing postcards and reflecting on their growth on their folky-rock song “With Love From,” out Wednesday.

Smallville alum Tom Welling has joined the cast of the CW’s drama series The Winchesters, from the Supernatural trio of Robbie Thompson, Jensen Ackles and Danneel Ackles, Warner Bros. So how did you get involved with Sand Dollar Cove?

Oh, gosh. Let's see. I have been fortunate enough to have a pretty decent relationship with Hallmark over the last few years. I love bringing wholesome content to the air. I love bringing joy to people's faces. That's why I became an actor in the first place.

Aly Michalka is starring with Chad Michael Murray in Sand Dollar Cove, a Hallmark movie. She plays a real estate developer interested in finding land within a small beachfront community for a vacation resort.

Michalka has starred in various movies and TV series, including Hellcats and iZombie, and she's part of a successful recording duo with her sister, Aj -- Aly & Aj.

We had a chance to catch up with her to discuss the movie and chat about Aly & Aj's latest album, A Touch of the Beat.

Can you tell me a little bit about Elli, your character in Sand Dollar Cove?

Yeah. Elli is basically a fish out of water in this story, a girl that is looking to develop this small-town community and build a large hotel in this area that has this kind of old pier that's very important and historical to the town.

Exclusive: Aj Michalka has joined the cast of the upcoming Ray Donovan feature-length film.

Michalka will play the younger version of Abby in the film, which will continue Ray’s journey following the hit drama series’ seven-season run on Showtime.

Star Liev Schreiber returns in his titular role and co-writes the script along with series showrunner David Hollander, who also directs.

There’s always been an abundance of beautifully insightful films that miss the general audience conversation but few have been as audaciously assured as director Jennifer Phang’s 2015 feature “Advantageous.

Blast from the past: Easy A is getting a spinoff movie! Entertainment Weekly announced the news on Thursday, confirming that Screen Gems, a Sony Pictures studio, has plans to work on the new film, which will take place at the same Ojai North High School in California as the original. The teen comedy from 2010 starred Emma Stone and catapulted her into the spotlight. It also included Penn Badgley, Amanda Bynes, Lisa Kudrow, Stanley Tucci, and Aly Michalka, but there's no word on who will be in the spinoff cast.

However, Easy A's screenwriter Bert Royal is set to write and direct the film, so it's in good hands. Stone, who played Olive Penderghast in the movie inspired by The Scarlet Letter, has since gone on to star in major motion pictures like The Favourite and La La Land. We're excited to find out who's cast in the new version almost a decade later.

Screen Gems is developing a spinoff film to “Easy A,” the 2010 comedy that helped launch Emma Stone to leading lady stardom. The studio has tapped Bert Royal, the original screenwriter on the film, to write and direct the currently untitled spinoff, an individual with knowledge told TheWrap.

Royal, who is a writer and executive producer on the Freeform series “Recovery Road,” will make his directorial debut on the film. Zanne Devine is also returning to produce the spinoff movie.

“Easy A” was an updated, teen comedy take on “The Scarlet Letter,” in which a clean-cut student gets ahead in her social standing by making up a rumor and proudly flaunting the idea that she’s sexually promiscuous, despite that being a lie. The new film will be set at the same high school and will explore many of the similar themes as the original.

Every year, fans of the iZombie TV show have wondered whether it would be cancelled or renewed for another season on The CW. Since this is the fifth and final season, sit back and enjoy it. Vertical Entertainment has acquired North American rights from NeoClassics Films to “The Lears,” starring Bruce Dern in a modern-day interpretation of William Shakespeare’s “King Lear,” Variety has learned exclusively.

The film also stars Anthony Michael Hall, Sean Astin, Aly Michalka, Nic Bishop and Victoria Smurfit. Vertical is planning a day and date platform release on Feb. 15 in 10 markets.

Written and directed by Carl Bessai, “The Lears” premiered in 2017 at the Nashville Film Festival. Smurfit recently won the Irish Film & TV Academy Award for best supporting actress for her role in the film.

NBC has put in development Major, a dance drama from Joyful Noise writer-director Todd Graff, Jennifer Lopez and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas’ Nuyorican Productions and Universal TV where Nuyorican is based.

Written by Graff, Major, said to be in the tone of Fame meets Chorus Line, is set at the most competitive and prestigious university dance department in the country. It focuses on the dancers and the teachers who are all struggling to define themselves, find their voices and pursue their dreams.

Graff executive produces and also is set to direct. Lopez, Goldsmith-Thomas, Kristel Laiblin and Benny Medina executive produce for Nuyorican. Universal TV produces in association with Nuyorican.

This is familiar territory for Graff, who wrote and directed music-themed features Joyful Noise, starring Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton, and Bandslam starring Aly Michalka and Vanessa Hudgeons. Additionally, he is a Tony-nominated Broadway actor.

This is Nuyorican’s second recent broadcast sale.

Get ready to see a lot more Don E. on iZombie. Deadline reports Bryce Hodgson has been promoted to series regular for season five of the CW TV show.

Hodgson has recurred as both Scott E. and Don E. on the dramedy since its first season. The cast also includes Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, David Anders, and Aly Michalka.

Finally. Bryce Hodgson, who has recurred since the first season on iZombie, has been promoted to series regular for the fifth and final season of the CW’s comedic drama.

In season 1 Hodgson portrayed Scott E. Series creator Rob Thomas, a fan of Hodgson’s work, brought his character back from the dead as a twin brother, Don E, in Season 2 and beyond. He has appeared in 39 episodes.

In iZombie, Olivia “Liv” Moore (Rose McIver) was a rosy-cheeked, disciplined, over-achieving medical resident who had her life path completely mapped out…until the night she attended a party that unexpectedly turned into a zombie feeding frenzy. As one of the newly undead, Liv is doing her best to blend in and look as human as possible. Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, David Anders and Aly Michalka also star.

It’s official. The CW’s comedies Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend will end after their upcoming fifth and fourth seasons, respectively. Additionally, the network revealed this season that the upcoming fifth season of comedic drama iZombie also will be its last, making for string of farewells on the CW next season. It will start with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which is on the fall schedule, and continue in midseason with Jane the Virgin and iZombie.

The announcement is not a surprise. Ahead of Jane the Virgin‘s fifth season renewal, star Gina Rodriguez had referred to a then-potential Season 5 as “our final season,” while Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star/co-creator Rachel Bloom tweeted after its pickup, “Just found out that #CrazyExGirlfriend has been renewed for a final season.”

Meanwhile, iZombie was probably the bubbliest of the CW established series and in danger of cancellation over its ratings performance but clinched a renewal...
