Blondie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 13, 2006 and the Rock Walk Hall of Fame on May 22, 2006.
Their hit single "Call Me" knocked Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)" out of the #1 spot on both the Canadian singles chart and the Billboard Hot 100.
The group's original name was 'Angel and the Snake', but was changed to 'Blondie' after countless truck drivers yelled "Hey, Blondie!" out their window to Debbie Harry, when she was walking down the street.
