Prasenjit Paul was born in Kolkata, West Bengal, India on 18th January 1991 to Surajit Kumar Paul & Chaya Paul. He has a younger sister, Rituparna Paul. He spent his childhood in Taki Ramakrishna Mission Ashram. After completing his engineering from Bengal Engineering & Science University, Shibpur, he started his career as an equity analyst. He is famously known for his best-selling book, "How to Avoid Loss & Earn Consistently in the Stock Market" published in 2015, which received huge positive acclaim and remained on Amazon India bestselling list for the next 6 years. The book has been translated into many major regional languages in India. His next book with Penguin India is scheduled to release in the second half of 2022. He contributed to the scripts/story of many Bengali movies. In 2022, he established his production house, Big Bull Motion Pictures, along with Soumalya Dutta.
