Warning! Spoilers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #5The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series has seen a number of changes to the forty-year-old franchise, but the latest issue sees a major character taken out of the action. The four turtle brothers have been scattered across the globe after the loss of Splinter, and have only recently reunited following a series of coordinated attacks from the Foot, but they may be permanently separated from one of their oldest friends.
Just as they find themselves back together, the Turtles could be reeling from another death, as a major hero falls in battle: Casey Jones. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #5 by Jason Aaron and Darick Robertson tells the backstory of Hieronymus Hale, the new District Attorney of New York City acting on behalf of the Foot.
With the Turtles still missing in the Big Apple, Casey Jones enters the fray, helping a group of protesters.

As a longtime friend of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Casey Jones has fought countless battles against the Foot Clan. However, his allegiance has suddenly shifted, and he's joined the ranks of Shredder's former army in a staggering twist. One of the ninja turtles' closest accomplices is switching sides, and Casey Jones' role in Tmnt lore will never be the same.
In the "Casey Jones: Agent of the Foot Clan" story from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Nation #1 - written by Erik Burnham with art by Mateus Santolouco, Marco Lesko, and Rus Wooton - Casey debuts an all-new outfit as he forsakes his solo vigilante roots and fights on behalf of the Foot Clan. Tmnt Reveals the Human Forms of Bebop and Rocksteady, Answering a Question Fans Have Asked for Years

Warning: Contains Spoilers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Nation #2! Bebop and Rocksteady are two of the most recognizable characters in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles history. Well, when they’re mutants, anyway. Truth be told, their human forms have always been a bit of mystery within the realm of Idw Publishing’s established Tmnt canon. Fans knew Bebop and Rocksteady were once humans, but they never got the chance to see them that way in this continuity - at least, until now.
In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Nation #2 “Casey Jones: Agent of the Foot Clan” by Erik Burnham and Mateus Santolouco, Casey Jones is training with his fellow Foot Clan soldiers when Bebop and Rocksteady appear without warning. While the sight of these two mutant behemoths would usually mean trouble - especially for a Tmnt ally like Casey Jones - that isn’t the case. Bebop and Rocksteady...

Arrowhead’s beloved co-op shooter, Helldivers 2, is experiencing its first round of negative press, that too very overwhelming. The studio recently announced that PC players will have to link a Psn account to continue playing the game after May 6.
Hundreds of thousands of players were blindsided at the sudden change, which was optional at the game’s launch. Concerns about data security and regions without Psn access are being brought up, and Arrowhead has been taking the brunt of the blame, even though it’s not their decision.
Arrowhead’s Hand Was Potentially Forced By Their Publisher
Arrowhead officials have named publisher Sony as the reason behind the controversial decision.
The studio’s community manager, Spitz, revealed in Helldivers 2‘s official Discord channel that the mandate has been enforced by the game’s publisher, Sony. It was intended to be there since launch, but technical issues delayed the account linking requirement.

Oroku Karai and the Foot Clan face defeat at the hands of the powerful Dog Star Clan robots, showing this new clan's superiority. Karai must contend with a human leader of the Dog Star Clan in issue 2 of this Tmnt series, posing a new threat that could disrupt her leadership. The Dog Star Clan continues to be a mystery in Tmnt canon, with their advanced abilities and impact on the legendary Foot Clan.
Warning: Contains Spoilers for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Untold Destiny of the Foot Clan #1-2! The Foot Clan in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles canon have existed for hundreds of years, though the ninja clan was never as ruthless (and prosperous) as when it was led by the infamous Shredder. While that had a lot to do with Shredder’s otherworldly allies and access to interdimensional technology, it was also due to his vicious nature and brutal training.

@cecilosaurus creates a terrifying and accurate cosplay of Karai as the new Shredder, showcasing her badass nature and honoring the character's legacy. The detailed and weathered armor, sharp claws, and signature helmet elevate the cosplay and emphasize Karai's deadly capabilities. This unique take on Karai as Shredder offers fans a glimpse into the scarier side of the character, filling the void until a new live-action version of Shredder is introduced.
In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lore, Shredder is the vicious and devious arch nemesis of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, acting as the ultimate Big Bad in the brothers’ quest to keep their city safe. But in a new cosplay, Oroku Saki no longer holds the mantle of Shredder, instead passing the Shredder legacy along to his second-in-command, Karai, proving the character can terrify no matter who wears the cosplay costume.

After a seven-year hiatus from presenting on the big screen, Master Splinter and his four adoptive half-sons have finally returned in the long-awaited Paramount Pictures’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. With a visual cel-shaded look that is reminiscent of Sony’s animated Spider-Man movies and adding to the otherwise expansive comic book lore by introducing a new villain called Superfly (voiced by Ice Cube) to the mix, this newest entry into the turtle’s theatrical career seems to already be a surefire success with the movie already crossing one hundred million dollars globally at the box office and holding a very high score on rotten tomatoes both with audiences and critics.
Considering the fact that we are all now going to have to wait a good amount of time for the inevitable sequel (as Mutant Mayhem did have a mid-credits scene that teased some very familiar villains), both old...

A Dlc expansion for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, titled Dimension Shellshock is on the way, and will bring a new game mode, playable characters, and more. The pixel art beat-em-up game originally released on all major gaming platforms in 2022, eventually making its way to mobile devices in early 2023 as well. Very well received upon release, Tmnt: Shredder's Revenge pays homage to the classic arcade games featuring the iconic shelled heroes, and the Dimension Shellshock Dlc will only serve to broaden the experience.
Shredder's Revenge has a relatively short Story Mode, but a large cast of playable characters, challenges to complete in every episode, and both local and online multiplayer help boost replayability. Dimension Shellshock seems to be a moderately sized expansion for the moderately sized Shredder's Revenge, delivering new content but not expanding the game's story. The Dimension Shellshock Dlc will also be accompanied by the game's second free content update.

Who could have guessed that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird’s small, black-and-white indie comic about anthropomorphic crime-fighting turtles that began as a parody of superhero storytelling would not only be around forty years later but also have the love and investment of several generations of fans? Whether you discovered the Turtles through the toys, the various TV shows, or the movies, audiences have been lucky enough to have at least one defining iteration of these heroes.

While much of the initial fanbase that helped turn Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into a pop culture phenomenon aged out following the original cartoon (1987-1996) and live action movies (1990-1993), the property has continued to flourish with reboots in TV, film, and comics every few years.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise has been capturing the admiration of fans for 35-plus years and shows absolutely no sign of stopping any time soon. From their debut on the black and white pages of a comic book, Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, & Michelangelo have worked together to take down their foes using the martial arts techniques that they learned from their father, Master Splinter. Since then, these goofy brothers have been adapted countless times on film and television, both in live-action and in animation, with a new film, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, set to open in theaters this summer.

As any fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can admit, Raphael’s temper is his ultimate weakness as it clouds his reasoning and overwhelms his judgment. While that may be common knowledge, there is an underlying issue that comes with that weakness, as it isn’t just rage that gets in Raphael’s way, it’s fear.
While there are a number of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles iterations, Tmnt's ongoing continuity is told within the pages of the Idw Publishing comic series. There, Raphael’s Tmnt origin is a bit different from any previous telling, and it does a much better job explaining his angry and oftentimes antisocial personality. Shredder is perhaps the most iconic enemy of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, yet while their rivalry was at its strongest point, the villainous leader of the Foot Clan practically gave his enemies one of the most skilled and deadly additions to the team: Jennika aka the Fifth Turtle–and he did so completely by accident.
Jennika began her Tmnt career as a member of Shredder’s Foot Clan, and, in fact, as one of his most skilled assassins. Jennika murdered a historian simply as a job for the Shredder before she was even really introduced in the series, and she tried to murder the Tmnt leader after Splinter killed Shredder and took his place as the new leader of the Foot Clan. While the Shredder may have a reputation for being the most brutal and vicious ninja warrior in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe, one comic proves that this misconception is just that–a misconception–as Shredder isn’t Tmnt’s most hardcore ninja, his granddaughter is.
Technically speaking, Oroku Karai isn’t exactly Shredder’s granddaughter so much as she’s his direct descendant, but Shredder refers to her as ‘granddaughter’ throughout the comic series–which, ultimately, is a sign of respect. Karai kept the Foot Clan legacy alive into the modern day, long after Shredder’s supposed death in the age of feudal Japan. Not only that, but Karai is the whole reason Shredder was able to ‘return from the dead’ in the first place. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has taken its fair-share of inspiration from Daredevil, and within the Ninja Turtles’ current continuity, the series actually pays perfect tribute to those connections with a shocking mutant character–not to mention a pretty on-the-nose reference courtesy of Michelangelo.
In the first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird), readers are shown the origin of the Turtles which describes how the Turtles were exposed to the mutagen ooze after a blind man tried crossing the street and was almost struck by a truck carrying the substance. Just as the truck was trying to swerve out of the way, a young man saved him, though the resulting accident did cause one canister to fly out the back of the truck and strike the young man in the head before breaking and infecting the Turtles. Warning! During the era of Turtlemania in the late ‘80s/early ‘90s, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles saw a number of upgrades made to their costumes, weapons, and–most relevantly here–their vehicles, with their iconic Turtle Van (aka Party Wagon) being the most dramatic. However, while Turtlemania may have turned the Turtle Van from a relatively normal van into an epic vehicle that was majorly ‘toyetic’, the current Tmnt comics just gave the Party Wagon even more of a killer upgrade.
In the gritty original black and white Tmnt comic book series–where the Turtles were all identical with razor-sharp ninja focus and absolutely no hang-ups about murdering their enemies–the Tmnt had a regular, beat up van that they cruised around in. Aside from the obvious focus on martial arts, there aren’t too many similarities between the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Cobra Kai (aka Karate Kid) franchises. Well, except for the fact that they had a crossover that was so under the radar, everyone forgot about it. Not to mention that this crossover–based on canonical information about the character–was Master Splinter’s dream come true.
The Tmnt/Cobra Kai crossover didn’t happen through a live-action, animated, or even comic book medium, but instead through action-figures.
