The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Camryn Grimes, who plays Mariah Copeland, goes from playing a creepy storyline there to a creepier one in a new horror film. She has landed a part in an upcoming film titled The Deceived, which is currently slated for release later this year.

The description of the new film shares interesting parallels with the storyline on Y & R that Mariah is closely involved in, her mother Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) spiraling.

In that storyline, Sharon has gone off her bipolar meds and is being deceived by a hallucination of Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby).

According to EW.com, Wetv exec John Miller says he was “sold on the concert after watching a pitch tap...showing the actress ‘unfiltered, honest and vulnerable.’” The series will follow Doherty doing the normal pre-wedding preparations: picking flowers, choosing a venue, meeting with a planner, finding a dress, all while she is in the process of renovating her home in Malibu, CA.
