Mark Oliver Everett

Lead singer and founder of the band EELS, along with partner/drummer, Butch Norton.
Son of physicist Hugh Everett III, who came up with the 'Many Worlds' theory of parallel universes.
His mother died of cancer and his sister committed suicide in the same year. They are the subject of Eels' 1998 album 'Electro-Shock Blues'
Was a friend and neighbour of late singer/songwriter Elliot Smith
Refuses to allow his songs to be used in commercials
Started working on the next Eels album in Los Angeles, due for release in 2005. (February 2004)
