Tori Sparks(III)
Tori Sparks was born in Chicago, and later lived and recorded in Nashville. Known as a force of nature onstage, she plays an average of 150 concerts each year and has toured in 24 countries. In 2011, she moved to Barcelona, Spain, and began a collaboration with group of Spanish instrumentalists. The result was her last four albums, which are a mix of her native folk, rock, blues and roots music with flamenco fusion, called "a flawless fusion of styles" (La Vanguardia), "adventurous, pushing the envelope" (Rolling Stone), and "pure art" (Los Conciertos de Radio3). Her songs have since been heard in commercials and on television series soundtracks, most recently in the hit Netflix series Sky Rojo. Her most recent project, El Mar Electric, was released in late 2021.
Tori is also known for giving back to the community through music and has organized and performed at numerous benefit concerts. She was the Secretary of the Activists Musicians Union of Catalunya until 2020, is actively involved in the Spanish freedom of speech movement No Callaremos, and is an outspoken proponent of education and equality within the entertainment industry.
