During the early months of the pandemic, with sets at a standstill, Matthew turned to creative writing. He penned an original psychological short film titled There's Something Wrong With John. With overwhelming support from Calgary's vibrant film community, the project was brought to life, with Matthew not only writing but also taking on the lead role-further showcasing his dedication and talent.
In late 2024, Matthew achieved another career milestone, booking his first major feature film role. More details about the project will be revealed later this year.
When not on set, Matthew thrives as a strength and conditioning coach locally in Calgary, Alberta, where he also competes as a Professional Powerlifter. His passion for both physical and creative pursuits continues to drive his multifaceted career.
