The Challenge Season 40 is getting closer to the epic season’s final, as two more competitors are officially out of the cast.
Eliminations have occurred over the past few months of filming to whittle down the cast of 40 to half, and now even fewer individuals.
The season’s theme includes cast members from throughout 39 seasons of The Challenge split into four groups.
Each group represents a different era, from the older generation of OGs to the newer generation of stars in the past six years.
Based on spoilers continuously arriving online, a large alliance may have been wiping out specific individuals, but that may have started to change.
This report contains spoilers from The Challenge Season 40, currently filming in Vietnam.

The Challenge rotates returning players and rookies for each season. Depending on the theme, viewers might not see a favorite for a few seasons. Here are five recent competitors who should return for next season.
Olivia Kaiser and Horacio Gutiérrez
The rookie standouts landed in back-to-back eliminations almost immediately after entering the competition and won both. They earned the respect of the house and avoided the Zone until episode 8 when her fling Nelson Thomas opted to save his rival Fessy Shafaat over her.
Regardless, with the help of the house, they sent home targets Jay Starrett and Michele Fitzgerald. When they split into teams, Horacio found himself in the Zone twice, and he eliminated Kenny Clark and three-time champ Jordan Wiseley, tying a franchise record for most elimination wins in a season.
Sounds like Olivia and Horacio balance out each other well! But can they stay on the same page while on The Challenge?...

The Challenge stars Olivia Kaiser and Nelson Thomas hit it off during season 38’s Ride or Dies and appeared as a strong couple, even though he indirectly threw her into elimination. However, Olivia connected with another competitor before her fling with Nelson.

Rookie Olivia Kaiser and veteran Nelson Thomas nearly dated while competing in The Challenge: Ride or Dies until his elimination when the game turned into teams.
However, before hitting it off with Nelson, she connected with another player, three-time competitor Jay Starrett.

The newest twist on The Challenge: Ride or Dies allows eliminated players a shot at redemption, but it will ultimately hurt this season. So far, eliminated ride or die pairs have been sent packing each week after losing an elimination round. Losing eliminations on The Challenge typically means automatically being sent home, with the chance of becoming a champion ending until the contestants return for a future season. Redemption twists are not entirely new, though, as the Redemption House was featured on The Challenge: Dirty 30 and The Challenge: Final Reckoning.
The Challenge: Ride or Dies introduced a unique redemption twist at the end of episode 10, when Kenny Clark lost a grueling elimination against Horacio Gutiérrez. After The Challenge: Ride or Dies format failed to deliver for the season's first half, pairs were broken up into two opposing teams led by Faysal Shafaat and Moriah Jadea. The latest twist on The Challenge has split the remaining Challengers into two groups, and the team led by Moriah Jade Andrychowski shouldn't be underestimated. The format of the season thus far has focused on pairs of ride-or-dies working together, but the new twist from episode 9 forced each pair to separate and split into two opposing teams. The captains were determined by a grueling weekly challenge, described by host Tj Lavin as a "mini final," that was ultimately won by Moriah and her teammate Faysal Shafaat. The two then had the power to choose which of the other Challengers would join their respective team.
Moriah lead a team consisting of Kenny Clark, Jordan Wiseley, Nany González, Amber Borzotra, Nurys Mateo, Horacio Gutiérrez, and Devin Walker-Molaghan. The twist is a welcomed one considering The Challenge ride or dies format has failed to deliver. Watching pairs who were initially dedicated to winning...

Fans of The Challenge season 38 are confused over Kaycee Clark's lack of screen time. Kaycee is well known for her previous win on The Challenge season 37, as well as her win on Big Brother season 20. With a background in football, Kaycee has a history of dominating physical competitions. Her strength combined with her social game, usually revolving around a strategy of playing honest and befriending her competitors, has made Kaycee an obvious choice to return to The Challenge season 38. This is Kaycee's fourth season, and in her past seasons she made it to every single final.
Each season of The Challenge features a large cast. The Challenge season 38 specifically revolves around pairs, and many feel the "ride or die" format is failing to deliver. Amid the large cast, Kaycee has been excluded from the final edits of each episode. During weekly challenges, her performances are barely featured. Even outside of competitions,...

Edward Berger had been so careful. The Emmy-nominated director of all five episodes of Showtime limited series “Patrick Melrose” had taken a chance by casting a brown-eyed boy as the younger Melrose, who is played as an adult by blue-eyed Benedict Cumberbatch.
“We had a boy with blue eyes, but [Sebastian Maltz] felt like a stronger choice,” says Berger. So in post, Berger and his team tweaked his eye color to keep things consistent, and that should have been that. In the old days, nobody would have been the wiser.
That wasn’t enough, however. “Two people picked up on the change, and were very triumphant that they’d found an eye color mistake,” sighs Berger. “There are millions of people watching and some will stop at every frame to make sure they find something that doesn’t work so they can post about it online.”
They say the devil is in the details,...

It was a clear victory for sci-fi sound editing Sunday night at the 65th annual Mpse Golden Reel Awards at the Westin Bonaventure. “War for the Planet of the Apes” was the surprise winner for Dialogue/Adr, splitting honors with “Blade Runner 2049,” which grabbed the Effects/Foley prize. The big loser was “Dunkirk” (which won the BAFTA sound award earlier Sunday). However, Christopher Nolan’s World War II survival epic took home the Music Score award and remains the sound editing Oscar favorite.
In addition, “The Greatest Showman,” “Coco,” “Loveless,” and “Jane” earned sound editing awards for Musical, Animation, Foreign Language, and Documentary.
