Peter Raeburn is a British composer, music producer and songwriter. He has won over 70 awards across the various mediums in which he has worked and is the founder and Creative Director of internationally renowned Soundtree Music. He creates unique sonic and musical worlds and has crafted some of the most iconic soundtracks.
Raeburn's scores include 'The Dry' starring Eric Bana, 'Photograph' released by Amazon, 'Things Heard & Seen' for Netflix starring Amanda Seyfried, Samuel Goldwyn's 'Nancy' starring Andrea Risebrough & Steve Buscemi, Rodarte and A24's 'Woodshock' starring Kirsten Dunst, Danny Huston's 'The Last Photograph', and director Joshua Leanoard's 'The Lie', 'Dark Was the Night', and 'Fully Realized Humans'. He recently scored two TV series: Tell Me Your Secrets for Amazon Prime and 'Hit & Run' for Netflix. He was Music Producer, Supervisor, and Arranger on Jonathan Glazer's 'Under the Skin' starring Scarlett Johansson, 'Sexy Beast' starring Ray Winstone and Ben Kingsley, and 'Birth' starring Nicole Kidman, Lauren Bacall and Danny Huston. He was also instrumental in shaping the soundtrack to Lars von Trier's unforgettable 'Breaking the Waves'.
Raeburn was musical director and producer on the critically acclaimed record 'Township Sessions' by The Mothers, which features songs as lyrical health messages created to educate communities in South Africa about essential health issues. This project raised crucial funds for the community. He wrote the live musical score for Russell Brand's re-telling of the Pied Piper of Hamelin, which he conducted at the Royal Albert Hall. He also created the sonic and musical world that is 'Skype', and has also released three solo albums to date, 'You and Me', 'Scape' and 'Note To Self'. His new record 'Recovery' comes out January 20 2023 in partnership with Platoon.
He founded Soundtree Music in 1997, who have grown and evolved over the years, continually leading the creative charge in all areas of music and sound.
He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, their two children and their dog.
