Edward Winter was born on June 3, 1937 in Ventura, California, USA. He was an actor, known for Porky's II: The Next Day (1983), M*A*S*H (1972) and Project U.F.O. (1978). He was married to Linda Foster, Sandra Frances Ward and Ronda Faye Moe. He died on March 8, 2001 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.
Perhaps best remembered as the paranoid, overzealous Colonel Flagg on several
episodes of M*A*S*H (1972).
Was twice nominated for Tony Awards as Best Supporting or Featured
Actor (Musical); in 1967 as Herr Ludwig in "Cabaret," and in 1969 as
J.D. Sheldrake in "Promises, Promises."
He has done voices in animation including six television programs.
Winter had a recurring character on the prime time 1970s sitcom Soap (1977) portraying Congressman Walter McCallum.
Began his acting career with the San Francisco Actors Workshop in 1962. Subsequently moved to New York, where he made his Broadway debut in "Cabaret" (1966).
