Superman & Lois is a superhero action-adventure drama series created by Greg Berlanti and Todd Helbing. Based on the DC Comics characters of the same name by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, The CW series follows Clark Kent and Lois Lane as they try to raise their two boys on Kent’s family farm in Smallville. We see Superman going against many villains in the series, but the heart of the story lies in the relationships between him and Lois, as well as his children. Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Jordan Elsass, Alex Garfin, Erik Valdez, and Emmanuelle Chriqui. So, if you loved the hopeful superhero story, grand action sequences, and compelling characters in Superman & Lois, here are some similar shows you should check out next.

Plot: The ultimate account of the Child’s Play film franchise and Chucky, a horror villain for the ages. With contributions from cast, crew, critics, historians, and experts, as well as clips, photographs, archival documents, behind-the-scenes footage, and more, experience the making-of story that proves you can’t keep a good guy down in a series of films that have created an icon.
Review: There are no better horror franchise documentaries than Crystal Lake Memories and Never Sleep Again. The in-depth looks at the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th franchises are the definitive looks at their respective franchises. They provide unique interviews and insight into the horror productions we thought we knew everything about. Yet they manage to find new information! So I, like many fans, was ecstatic to see them put Chucky in their crosshairs. Given the series’ very unique history and 36-year run, there is so much information to parse from.

Happy birthday to our favorite beautiful bouncing killer baby boy! Bride of Chucky turned 25 in October. So Happy birthday, Chucky! Happy birthday, Tiffany! Happy birthday to my very favorite film in Don Mancini’s absolutely killer Child’s Play series: Bride of Chucky! It’s a film that I personally find to be a ton of fun. The kills are great, the humor is on point, and it’s just a joy to watch from start to finish. But Bride of Chucky also marks an important turning point in the trajectory of the Child’s Play franchise.
After Child’s Play 3 was released in 1991, it seemed as though the series had run its course. Chucky had terrorized Andy through multiple films, followed him to a foster home and again to military school, only to be vanquished time and time again before he was able to transfer his soul to another human body.

As the daughter of Chucky franchise special effects artist Tony Gardner, director Kyra Elise Gardner offers a unique perspective on the killer doll’s lasting impact in the Screambox Original documentary Living with Chucky.
Child’s Play creator Don Mancini and franchise alumni Brad Dourif, Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, Billy Boyd, John Waters, Tony Gardner, David Kirschner, and more spill their guts along with such notable fans as Marlon Wayans, Abigail Breslin, Lin Shaye, and Dan Povenmire, among others.
Here are 9 things I learned from Living with Chucky.
1. Gremlins helped pave the way for Child’s Play.
A lifelong horror fan, Don Mancini wrote the first Child’s Play script — originally titled Batteries Not Included, then Blood Buddy — while attending UCLA. “I realized that no one had ever done the living doll thing as a full-fledged feature where you treat the doll as a character who can actually emote...

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves may take three days to outgross the original film. The movie, which takes place in the world of the iconic role-playing game, follows a group of adventurers played by an ensemble cast, including Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, and Sophia Lillis. However, this isn't the first time the property has been brought to theaters, as it was originally adapted into the 2000 film Dungeons & Dragons starring Justin Whalin, Marlon Wayans, and Thora Birch.
Per Deadline, the opening weekend of the Dungeons & Dragons movie is projected to take in a gross of between $30 and $40 million. This could knock the massive hit John Wick: Chapter 4 from the No. 1 slot for the weekend. On top of that, if it reaches even halfway within that range, the new film will have already outgrossed the 2000 film's entire theatrical run of $33.9 million.

Plot: A thief and his team find themselves on an epic quest, one putting him in search of his daughter. Monsters, mayhem, and more ensue – with a healthy dose of humor.
Review: In this year of sequels, we have something a little different but very familiar to many. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, directed by John Francis Daley (who you may remember from Freaks & Geeks) and Jonathan Goldstein, is another big-screen adaptation of the popular interactive game. The last time a D&d movie played in the cinema was the less-than-stellar 2000 feature starring Justin Whalin and Jeremy Irons, which made little of an impression. It certainly didn’t meet the expectations of critics or audiences. At all. The upcoming film stars Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez as Edgin and Holga, hapless thieves on a desperate journey. Sometimes when a horror franchise is really on a roll, we’ll get sequels that are just one year apart from each other. But the waiting period between Child’s Play 2 and the movie we’re looking at in the new episode of the Wtf Happened to This Horror Movie? video series, Child’s Play 3 (watch it Here) was even shorter than a year. The third Child’s Play movie reached theatres just nine months after the second one! With such a quick development and production, is it any surprise that Child’s Play 3 turned out to be one of the least popular entries in the Chucky franchise? To find out all about the making of Child’s Play 3, check out the video embedded above.

The newest member in the killer doll pantheon, M3GAN is currently slaying at the box office, with a sequel already in early development at this time. Of course, killer dolls and toys are a subgenre in and of themselves in horror, and no face shines brighter than that of Chucky.
With M3GAN now providing Chucky with some excellent company on the Killer Doll Mount Rushmore, I think the time has come to give the oft dismissed third entry in the still ongoing Child’s Play franchise a reassessment – the Jack Bender-directed Child’s Play 3.
Long considered the black sheep of the franchise, it’s not particularly easy to find many champions of Chucky’s third outing. Creator, writer, and ongoing franchise shepherd Don Mancini has even voiced his disappointment in his own writing on the film. On top of that, the box office take was underwhelming, and fans are...

Choose your players as you take a journey with the elves and mages of the new fantasy adventure film, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The upcoming movie will be the newest attempt at adapting the popular role-playing board game franchise into a feature film. The original attempt came about in 2000 with Justin Whalin, Thora Birch, Marlon Wayans, and a tour-de-force of a hammy performance by Academy Award-winner Jeremy Irons. The movie would spawn a couple of straight-to-video sequels.

Those of you out there who happen to be fans of the Child’s Play film franchise will likely agree with me in saying that aside from Brad Dourif’s legendary performance as the voice of everyone’s favorite Good Guy, the first movie may not have worked as well had they not found a child actor to ably pull of the role of Andy Barclay.
Luckily, Alex Vincent stepped up to the plate, making his character believable and capping it off with a one-liner that would make even the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Bond proud. And, most fortunate for enduring lovers of the series, Vincent has since returned to reprise the role in a surprising post-credits scene in Curse of Chucky that’ll be expanded upon in the upcoming Cult of Chucky.

Twenty five years ago this week, the sitcom Blossom debuted on NBC. Star Mayim Bialik was only 15 when the show began airing regularly on Jan. 3, 1991, and over the course of five seasons, viewers watched her character, Blossom Russo, learn a whole lot of major life lessons.
In fact, the show often made a point of prefacing these episodes with an intro voiceover from Bialik herself, who'd announce "Tonight, on a very special Blossom," just to let viewers know that they were in for some heavy stuff.
In honor of the show's silver anniversary, we're listing off the most special of those very special episodes.

Much-loved DC comics photographer James 'Jimmy' Olsen will be played by Mehcad Brooks in the new Supergirl TV show…
Throwbacks to DC comics lore are always welcome in Warner Bros.’ ever-growing superhero telly empire, and here’s one that we’re particularly excited about – James ‘Jimmy’ Olsen looks set to become a recurring character in the in-development Supergirl TV series.
You’ll no doubt recognise the name: Jimmy Olsen is the Daily Planet photographer who has been played by Jack Larson, Tommy Bond, Marc McClure, Michael Landes, Justin Whalin, Sam Huntington and Aaron Ashmore across pretty much every Superman or Supergirl project ever made.
Marc McClure, who starred alongside Christopher Reeve in Superman: The Movie and all its subsequent sequels and spin-offs (discounting sort-of sequel Superman Returns), is surely the most memorable.

Warner Bros has acquired the rights to film a Dungeons and Dragons movie reboot.
Wrath of the Titans writer David Leslie Johnson has signed on to work on the script, according to Deadline.
The studio is reported to be "quite far along" in the project, adapting a script that was originally based on Gary Gygax's D&D precursor Chainmail.
A 2000 Dungeons and Dragons film starring Thora Birch, Jeremy Irons and Justin Whalin was a critical and commercial flop.
It nevertheless went on to spawn two straight-to-dvd sequels - 2005's Wrath of the Dragon God and 2012's The Book of Vile Darkness.
The 2000 film's director Courtney Solomon will produce with The Lego Movie's Roy Lee.

Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired the rights to make a new feature based on the RPG fantasy franchise "Dungeons and Dragons".
The project began as "Chainmail", a script by David Leslie Johnson ("Wrath Of The Titans," "Red Riding Hood") based on an obscure game by D&D designer Gary Gygax.
The script will now be retro-fitted to fit the much larger and more well-known creation. Roy Lee and Courtney Solomon will produce.
The Dungeons and Dragons brand has generated north of $1 billion in books and merchandise since it was launched in 1974.
A previous and modestly budgeted film adaptation was made in 2000 starring Jeremy Irons, Justin Whalin, Marlon Wayans, Thora Birch and Bruce Payne. It's expected this rebooted take on the property will score a more substantial budget and higher profile behind-the-scenes talent.

Overacting is usually responsible for sinking a movie, but on the odd occasion, it does elevate it, heightening our intrigue and making us more interested in what is taking place on screen. In a bad film, it can have hilarious results, keeping us glued to what might be an otherwise boring film, and in good films, it can enhance the emotional intensity and visceral factor, depending on how far actors decide to go with it.
Here are 10 absurd, ridiculous instances of overacting that actually managed to improve the movies they were in.
10. Jeremy Irons – Dungeons and Dragons
Granted, it doesn’t take much to improve this sorry adaptation of the classic board game, but Jeremy Irons’ classic example of scenery chewing here makes the film occasionally watchable for a few scenes. There are a lot of bad movies out there. Some are bad and some are just plain awful. Dungeons & Dragons and its made-for-dvd sequel D&D: Wrath of the Dragon God fall under this category. Both films based on the popular fantasy role-playing game of the same name have now been released in a Blu-ray 2-movie pack. Joy.
The first movie D&D takes place in the mythical Empire of Izmer, a place where two classes of people inhabit the land, Mages and commoners. The Mages possess special magical powers and the commoners live in poverty and often resort to crime. An over the top Jeremy Irons stars as an evil Mage named Profion who plans to dethrone the ruler of the land Empress Savina played by a wooden Thora Birch. Aware of Profion’s sinister plot, Savina must obtain the Rod of Savrille, a powerful scepter which controls dragons.

Citizens/potential buyers/renters beware! Do not be fooled by the slickly Photoshopped DVD cover of this nauseating film. Super Capers, brainchild of director/writer Ray Griggs, is an underfunded, overcooked, lame-brained super hero parody that doesn’t manage one genuine laugh. Much like the smug mug of Justin Whalin (he of Dungeons & Dragons film fame), the film is content to prance around mindlessly until you pray for a way out, a rushed ending, anything to put a stop to the unimaginative low-budget horror.
Possibly the only genuinely enjoyable section of the film is its animated intro. Studios take notice - Tom Richmond is a talented illustrator who should be doing better work than this (yes, I had to look him up). The score, by Nathan Lanier, is also quite good, and you’ll be tuning into it a lot when you are unable to stomach the action onscreen. Make...

Have you ever walked out of a movie theater and thought: “There went 90 minutes of my life that I will never get back!” That was seeing Super Capers for me. But instead of thinking it only as I exited, I thought it throughout the movie. “That was 5 minutes of my life that I will never get back.” “Oh boy, there goes another 5.” I’ve compiled a list of some activities I would have rather been doing:
1) Getting a filling at the dentist. The bright light glaring at you, the white gloves coming at you with shiny silver utensils that look sharp enough to do some real damage. I tell you, one slip of the tools and you could lose a cheek. Or at least shoot a hole through one.
2) Cleaning up cat vomit. As much as you love the little mongrels, when they beg for food and then eat it...

So I drove two hours to La yesterday, thinking I was watching "Monsters Vs. Aliens," but lo and behold, I had the date wrong! It's for next Saturday, the 21st!
The movie showing yesterday was "Super Capers" a B-movie superhero flick that at its best, is the anti-"Watchmen."
The good thing about the film? Well, the filmmakers knew that they're making a campy (short hand for bad) film. But dudes, I'm all for camp and everything, but "Super Capers" lost its momentum from the opening credits.
Justin Whalin stars as Ed Gruberman, a superhero wannabe who is sent to train with real caped crusaders by a mysterious judge (Michael Rooker). Gruberman learns to be a superhero and solves the mystery of his childhood.
That may sound interesting, or probably, I just presented it well Ha!, but "Super Capers" is a comedy with very, very few laughs, uninteresting setups, and predictable subplots!
