Edwin de Vries was born on 14 January 1950 in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands. He is an actor and writer, known for The Devil's Double (2011), In de Vlaamsche pot (1990) and The Discovery of Heaven (2001). He has been married to Monique van de Ven since 1991. They have two children.

Provided the voice of Lou het Stekelvarken in the Dutch version of <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt0327084/?ref_=nmwrk">Over the Hedge (2006)</a>.

(2010) Wrote the extremely successful &#39;Soldaat van Oranje - de Musical&#39;.
