Often, the best movies tell a very simple story but they tell that story extremely well and Hall, featured at both Frightfest and Blood in the Snow festivals, is no different. From the very start we see a group of people in a hotel hallway, struggling with a debilitating sickness that seems to have spread through them all, each trying to escape the horror of it.

Like I say, this is all in the opening scene so where does it go from there? Well maybe unsurprisingly the movie goes back in time to show us some of the stories about why people are in the hotel and the issues they are having there. The locations don’t stray away from the hotel though...

Strike Media in the UK has launched an official trailer for an indie contained horror thriller titled Hall, the first narrative feature from actor-turned-filmmaker Francesco Giannini. This premiered at FrightFest last year and will open in the UK in September, but has no US release announced yet. Hey, "Blood & Treasure" fans. We hope you guys enjoyed tonight's episode 8. Now that it has officially aired and in the history books, it's time to go over a few storylines that will be featured in next week's brand new episode 9. Thanks to the lovely CBS folks, we will be able to do just that. They provided us with a few, official teaser descriptions via their episode 9 press release. In order to stay in the theme of campiness, one must talk of Carny. The film stars Lou Diamond Phillips, Alan C. Petersen (Tortured), and Simone-Elise Girard (Afterwards). Described as "a wasted of time," by the horror movie review site Dread Central, the Carny plot line involves an escaped Jersey Devil (Dread). It seems this latest Syfy original has received reviews from different sides of the fence and Carny is for those who like the cheesiest of horror. The film shows on DVD March 23rd for those who missed the premiere on Syfy in 2009.

The synopsis for Carny here:

"When a traveling carnival comes to a rural Nebraska town, the caged attraction everyone is talking about is the alleged Jersey Devil.
