Amy Jo Johnson reprised her role as Kimberly in Power Rangers two years after the original Pink Ranger departed from the team, yet the circumstances of her return were not what I was expecting. Kimberly Hart was one of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and appeared in all three seasons of the original show. However, Kimberly did not remain on the team until the very end of Mmpr 3, as Amy Jo Johnson left the show after the A Different Shade of Pink arc. Kimberly was replaced by Katherine Lillard, played by Catherine Sutherland.
Unlike the exits of Jason, Zack, and Trini from the team, Kimberlys departure was very well handled. Not only did we get to meet Kat a couple of episodes before she became the new Pink Ranger, but Kimberly also got to pass the torch herself to her successor. Kat would go on to build a legacy...

Kat was the 2nd Pink Ranger and had 3 different sets of powers. Kat was part of three Power Rangers shows. Kimberly's legacy remains unmatched, but Kat was a worthy replacement for the original Pink Ranger.
Katherine Hillard was Power Rangers Kimberly replacement, and she did something that the original Pink Ranger was sadly never able to. Kimberly is one of the greatest Power Rangers of all time, having been part of the original series and defined the concept of Pink Ranger for an entire generation. Although Kimberly left the team before the end of Mmpr, she appeared in all three seasons of the show and returned for one of the movies. That said, Kimberlys Power Rangers history was relatively short compared to other characters, at least in the TV show.
Kimberlys final Power Rangers episode was A Different Shade Of Pink, which marked Amy Jo Johnsons final appearance in the TV show.

Following rumors over the weekend, TV Line has confirmed that Hasbro's Power Rangers cinematic universe, which was expected to include both an original television show and new films, that had been in development at Netflix for the past two years is no longer moving forward at the streamer.
X user @Jinsakuu was the first to break the story, before the trade was able to obtain confirmation. In their initial tweet, the online scooper explained, "Due to the lack of staff and all the departments and responsibilities Hasbro had to take on. They’re lisencing Power Rangers Toys and Media off to other companies. As we seen with playmates who now own full control of the toys they’re doing the same with the show rights. Also they’re trying to be as hands off as possible and still own the franchises revenues. So good news maybe ??"

Kimberly Hart, played by Amy Jo Johnson, left the Power Rangers team in season 3 to focus on her gymnastics career. Kimberly broke up with Tommy through a letter in Power Rangers Zeo, allowing Tommy to continue on the show without addressing her again. Amy Jo Johnson reprised her role as Kimberly in Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie but never returned to the TV show. However, Kimberly would still appear three more times.
Kimberly Hart, Power Rangers’ original Pink Ranger, exited the team during Mighty Morphin season 3 but continued to play an important role in the show's story. The Power Rangers Turbo series introduced a storyline called The Millennium Message, but it was never followed up on due to changes in the writing staff. The Millennium Message would have revealed a force that could stop the villains, but the audience never got to see who it was. Instead of continuing The Millennium Message plotline, Power Rangers Turbo focused on passing down the titles and powers to a new generation of Rangers.
Despite the fact that the Power Rangers franchise hinted at a major storyline for the crime-fighting teenagers in Power Rangers Turbo, the Millennium Message plot never actually happened, and only for one small, subtle reason. Power Rangers Turbo is a 1997 Power Rangers series that lasted one season and is the fifth installment in the Power Rangers franchise. Despite being a continuation of the franchise, Power Rangers Turbo saw a whole horde of changes, most importantly in relation to the cast.

"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always" is the anniversary special "Power Rangers" fans have been dreaming about for years. While we've had many special episodes throughout the decades, including massive crossover battles involving most Red Rangers (of the time), or different Rangers teams fighting together, this is the first time the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team has come back, and for a special that is specifically about them. That is, the franchise's first iteration, before it started adapting a different "Super Sentai" show with an entirely different cast, team, and theme song every season.
"Once & Always" pays homage to fallen Rangers, with a lovely and rather emotional tribute to Jason David Frank and Thuy Trang. Trang's character Trini, in particular, is central to the story of the special, with the death of Trini forever impacting the team, and inspiring her daughter Minh to pick up the mantle of the Yellow Ranger.

The original Green PowerRanger appears in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, raising the question of whether Jason David Frank filmed scenes for the reunion. Original Tommy Oliver actor Jason David Frank died in November 2022, leaving an enormous legacy within the Power Rangers franchise. It must be noted, though, that Once & Always was filmed before David Frank’s passing.
Power Rangers: Once & Always is the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ 30th-anniversary special, which sees the original heroes from the Mighty Morphin era reuniting to fight a robot version of Rita Repulsa (voiced by Barbara Goodson). For the 30th anniversary of the 1993 series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Netflix's special, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always reunites most of the original cast for an epic battle against their greatest adversary: Rita Repulsa. Zordon is missing, and the rangers are still doing their best to protect the planet from evil forces, even though they are no longer teens with attitude. Trina Kwan’s daughter Minh will join the fight this time because Rita Repulsa’s tactics have turned deadly. This latest nostalgia trip in no way changes the tone or styling to adapt to modern entertainment standards. Once & Always is a direct sequel to the original series. The 1995 film of the same name adopted a more cinematic style to bring the Rangers to the big screen, but Once & Always brings it back to basics. The special effects, clear digital photography, and drone camera is the only notable improvement.

When the anniversary project was announced, many of Johnson's former co-stars were confirmed to be on board.
The actress has taken issue with fans saying she didn't take part in the project due to monetary reasons.
"Please stop saying I didn't do reunion because of money. Simply not true," she wrote.
"Maybe I just didn't want to wear spandex in my fifties."
"Or I couldn't travel to New Zealand to film for a month. Or perhaps it's none of [your] beeswax."

"Power Rangers" is one of the biggest franchises to come out of the '90s. Based on the Japanese franchise "Super Sentai," the "Power Rangers" series follows a group of teenagers chosen to fight evil with the help of super suits and giant robots that morph together to make an even bigger robot.

Since the Power Rangers franchise debuted in 1993, Pink has been one of the most popular colors on the team. Not every team has a Pink Ranger, but when they do, those Pink Rangers tend to end up at the forefront of a lot of the big storylines of the season. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers may have debuted 30 years ago, but it spawned a franchise with a lasting impact on pop culture that continues to this day. But even as old fans and new viewers enjoy the latest Power Rangers seasons on Netflix or read spin-off stories from Boom! Comics, their attention often returns to the season that started it all. Names like Kimberly Hart and Billy Cranston resonate through the decades, whether the current set of rangers is fighting Rita Repulsa or an entirely different threat.
Naturally, that means fans are always ready to add another Mighty Morphin Power Rangers piece to their collection, and Diamond Select Toys is equally as ready to provide. Since Power Rangers Cosmic Fury coincides with the 30th anniversary of the original series, welcoming iconic cast members back to the fold for the big year, now is a perfect time to celebrate with gorgeous merchandise.

20th Century Fox's family-oriented film is action-packed and silly, the equal of 1995's entertaining "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie," but unlikely to open with much of a bang.
A multigenre combination of sci-fi concepts and characters, cliffhanger heroics, kung-fu movie fights and juvenile humor, Saban Entertainment and Toei Co.'s "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie" borrows heavily from "E.T". and the Indiana Jones trilogy. Current "Power Rangers ZEO" and former cast members return with several newcomers as the Rangers battle a wicked space pirate.
The five Rangers -- including Tommy Jason David Frank) as the new Red Ranger, young Justin Blake Foster) as Blue Ranger and Rocky (Steve Cardenas) -- are directed by leader Zordon to rescue a fugitive wizard captured by matinee vamp Divatox (Hilary Shepard Turner) and her dim-witted but fearsome henchmen.
Purring and looking like E.T.'s cousin from the planet of the leprechauns, the wizard Lerigot is vulnerable to sunlight and even has a scene in which he heals a Ranger's wound. To further gain our sympathy, Lerigot's wife and infant are captured and threatened, but it's the villains who are the most entertaining.
The pace is fast and furious, with the teen heroes handling numerous opponents and perils as normal humans. But the crowd-pleasing final third finds the turbo-powered Rangers in their Zords taking on Divatox and her husband-to-be, a powerful demon imprisoned inside a volcano.
Old pros of the first film or the TV show, Frank, Johnny Yong Bosch, Catherine Sutherland and Nakia Burrise are a smoothly functioning unit, with Foster's gung-ho rookie stirring things up. Low-comedy relief is again provided by stooges Bulk (Paul Schrier) and Skull (Jason Narvy).
Returning for a subplot involving a submarine and lava pit, former Red Ranger Jason (Austin St. John) and Pink Ranger Kimberly Amy Jo Johnson) are involved in the exciting finale.
Directors Levy and David Winning, along with cinematographer Ilana Rosenberg and production designer Yuda Ako, display plenty of imagination and create a few wondrous moments with the low-tech special effects.
