The ending of Fox's "Bones" wasn't quite as dark as fans might have expected. However, its heroes' respective paths to a happy ending aren't what you'd call easy. Just ask John Boyd's James Aubrey, a young FBI agent who joins the main ensemble in season 10 and eventually establishes himself as Seeley Booth's (David Boreanaz) partner.
Over the course of his three seasons on the show, Aubrey starts out as a concerned and sometimes mistrusted semi-outsider who mostly gets a pass because Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) vouches for him. He then rises to his own after Sweets' untimely death and becomes a key member of the team for the remainder of the series. During this time, Aubrey receives grievous injuries, deals with serious family troubles, and even ends his high-profile relationship with Jessica Warren (Laura Spencer) just as the show draws to a close -- although, true to the...

Reba McEntire's highly anticipated return to network TV materializes in the Happy's Place series premiere, which might not live up to Reba but does a good job of establishing itself as a solid sitcom with the potential to be great. McEntire has had trouble finding her next successful TV project following the finale of Reba in February 2007. The ABC sitcom Malibu Country, which, despite its impressive cast, received mixed to negative reviews and was canceled after its 18-episode first season. Its cancelation seemingly dissuaded McEntire from exploring other sitcom pilots.

To borrow from Lucy Chen in the very same installment, is that it?
While there was much to enjoy about The Rookie Season 4 Episode 22 with its fun, action, and Chenford plots and developments that felt like fanfiction come to life, it didn't feel like a season finale at all.
The hour just... ended.
You can sense that they went balls to the wall and had pure fun with this installment, leaning heavily into the silly, lighthearted, nonsensical, with a mix of action aspects of the series more than anything else.
It was a finale where, as it progressed, you realized that there were no longer any overarching storylines that required wrapping up, and there haven't been any significant plot points in the back half of the season.
Angela: Not the brightest bulb, though.
Lucy: Oh my God. It's Tim and Dim.

Chuck Lorre’s freshman comedies B Positive and The United States of Al have both been renewed for second seasons.
B Positive, the Thomas Middleditch and Annaleigh Ashford-fronted show was the first new CBS show to debut as part of the 2020/21 broadcast season and was the second new show of the season, after ABC’s Big Sky, to receive a back order.
Both shows are airing as part of CBS’ Thursday comedy slate alongside Young Sheldon and Mom, and while neither show has been a breakout hit, comedy traditionally takes longer to find an audience.
Created by former Mom co-executive producer Marco Pennette inspired by personal experience, B Positive is about a therapist and newly divorced dad (Middleditch) who is faced with finding a kidney donor when he runs into a rough-around-the-edges woman from his past (Ashford) who volunteers her own. The multi-cam comedies “United States of Al” and “B Positive” have been renewed for second seasons at CBS.
Both shows hail from Chuck Lorre Productions, which has three other shows on CBS at present. That includes the Allison Janney led multi-cam “Mom,” which recently ended after eight seasons. The others are “Bob Hearts Abishola” and “Young Sheldon.” The former was renewed in February while the latter scored a three-season pickup in March.
“United States of Al” revolves around Riley (Parker Young), a Marine combat veteran struggling to readjust to civilian life in Ohio, and Awalmir, or Al (Adhir Kalyan), the interpreter who served with Riley’s unit in Afghanistan who has come to start a new life in America.
The series also stars Elizabeth Alderfer as Lizzie, Riley’s sister; Dean Norris as Art, Riley’s father; Kelli Goss as Vanessa, Riley’s ex-wife; and Farrah Mackenzie as Hazel, Riley and Vanessa’s daughter.

B Positive will be on the CBS schedule for a bit longer.
The freshman comedy has nabbed a full season order at CBS, becoming one of few shows to pull off such a move in that pandemic-affected season.
While the show has been expanded, no details on how many episodes have actually been ordered.
ABC's Big Sky recently got a six-episode back-order, keeping it around for 16 episodes.
However, that show is heavily serialized, meaning that fewer episodes were probably a part of a commitment between the creatives and the network.
B Positive Season 1 is averaging 5 million viewers and a 0.56 rating in the all-important 18-49 demo.
The series, which hails from Chuck Lorre, is holding up well in its Thursday slot and pulling in decent enough ratings to stick around.
B Positive was the only completed broadcast pilot ahead of this season due to the Covid-19 shutdowns that plagued the industry.

“B Positive” has been given a full-season pickup from CBS.
The comedy from Chuck Lorre, which stars Thomas Middleditch and Annaleigh Ashford, was the network’s only new series this fall. It airs on Thursdays following “Young Sheldon.”
“B Positive” becomes the second freshman series to get its run extended. ABC added six episodes to “Big Sky” to give that drama a full season order.
The sitcom stars “Silicon Valley” alum Middleditch as a therapist who becomes friends with his kidney donor (Ashford). Kether Donohue, Sara Rue, Izzy G. and Terrence Terrell also star. It is based on creator Marco Pennette’s personal experience as a transplant recipient.
CBS will debut its next two new series in February. Queen Latifah’s reboot of “The Equalizer” will premiere following the network’s broadcast of Super Bowl Lv on Feb. 7, before it settles into its normal time slot on Sundays at 8 p.

“B Positive” has been picked up for a full season at CBS.
The show will now run through the entire 2020-2021 broadcast season. The news comes after just five episodes of the show have aired on CBS, with the series debuting on Nov. 5.

When most people get too drunk, they might do an embarrassing dance or text someone they know they really shouldn’t be texting. When Gina (Annaleigh Ashford) gets too drunk, however, she becomes “Becky,” an enthusiastic hellion who ruins weddings, falls out of windows and, in a moment of enlightened benevolence, offers up her kidney to some guy she vaguely knew in high school. That she doesn’t back off that offer once she wakes up (relatively) sober says a lot about Gina as a person beyond her wildness — and yet at least in its first two episodes, “B Positive” has some trouble realizing that there’s a lot more to Gina than it often allows.
Created by “Mom” writer Marco Pennette, and based on his own experiences of getting a kidney transplant, “B Positive” primarily focuses on Drew (Thomas Middleditch), the aforementioned “some guy” who learns in the series...

A successful sitcom boils down to two things: characters and chemistry. Even the most inspired premise doesn’t matter after the first few episodes, if the show doesn’t have characters we care about and actors who work well together. Case in point: CBS’ new fall sitcom B Positive, debuting this Thursday, Nov. 5 at 8:30/7:30c. (I’ve seen the first two episodes.) It has an admittedly odd premise and does fall into certain CBS sitcom pitfalls along the way, but it’s redeemed by stars Thomas Middleditch and Annaleigh Ashford, who make a stellar comedic duo right away.

It’s senior year at East Great Falls High and Annie, Kayla, Michelle, and Stephanie decide to finally harness their girl power and band together to get what they want. The boys won’t know what hit them when these sassy sweethearts are calling the shots.

The Paley Center for Media’s annual fall television event has moved beyond “previews.” This year, the robust slate will include some sneak peeks at upcoming series, such as Hulu’s “Monsterland” and Netflix’s “Emily in Paris,” but it is also celebrating shows that already launched — and weeks earlier — such as Netflix’s “Away,” Fox’s “Filthy Rich” and HBO’s “We Are Who We Are.”
Still dubbed the 14th annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews, the festival is going virtual this year, in accordance with ongoing health and safety concerns amid the coronavirus pandemic. All panels will be viewable on official sponsor Verizon’s Yahoo Entertainment Channel. Citi returns as the official card of the festival and its members can preview panels first, as of today, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. Et. The panels will then be live for the public starting on Friday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. Et, with...

Exclusive: Terrence Terrell (Giants) is set as a series regular in CBS’ new Chuck Lorre-Marco Pennette multi-camera comedy series B Positive, headlined by Thomas Middleditch and Annaleigh Ashford.
Created by Pennette, B Positive is about a therapist and newly divorced dad (Middleditch) who is faced with finding a kidney donor when he runs into a rough-around-the-edges woman from his past (Ashford) who volunteers her own. Together they form an unlikely bond and begin a journey that will change both of their lives.
Terrell will play Eli, a friendly, outgoing professional football player for the Seahawks. A ladies man with a bit of an ego – he’s not shy about flashing his Super Bowl ring. After too many hits to the body on the field, Eli finds himself in need of a new kidney. His spirit isn’t crushed, however, partly because he’s in denial about his career coming to an end.

It’s hard to believe that American Pie arrived over twenty years ago as it seems like just yesterday that we were all listening to wild band camp stories and getting hilarious advice from Jim’s awkward father. Over two decades later, the iconic R-rated comedy has spawned multiple sequels and spinoffs and inspired tons of other comedies, but as of yet, we’re still left waiting for a proper American Pie 5.
Whether or not the fifth installment ever happens remains to be seen, of course, but in the meantime, the brand is continuing to pump out spinoffs and the latest is American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules. As you can see in the trailer up above, it’s not exactly the new outing that fans may be hoping for, but it’s still the first entry in the franchise in quite a long time and looks to be following...
