    • Betty Reilly was born on July 2, 1918 in San Francisco, California, USA. She was an actress, known for Because of You (1952), Judy's Little No-No (1969) and Machito and Orchestra (1946). She was married to Charlie Barnet and John Henry Hagarty. She died on December 23, 1982 in Toluca Lake, California, USA.

  • Toured military bases in Europe in the early 1960s.
  • Blonde, statuesque Mexican-born nightclub singer/dancer/actress of part Spanish heritage who sang with Xavier Cugat and His Orchestra in the 1940s. Her rhythmic movements were ideally suited for rumba bands and was a specialty performer with Cugat in a couple of post-war films.
  • Had a keen talent for learning and singing in different languages, notably Spanish, Portuguese and Yiddish. She learned a number of these languages as a child while living in a multicultural existence with her parents in Mexico where they owned a swanky resort hotel.
  • Popular club singer who performed in a host of niteries both here and abroad, including Vegas (Flamingo), New York (Vagabonds) and London (Astor). Opened her own nightclub in Waikiki in the late 1950s.
  • Sometime recording artist: "Always and a Day" and "Besame Mucho," and the 1957 novelty song "The Saga of Elvis Presley".
