The Voice finale brings the best of the season together to sing one last time for a chance to win it all. However, this year’s finale didn’t quite go as well as many viewers had hoped. This caused many fans to claim the performances were “underwhelming” and “monotone.”

The first part of The Voice finale aired with some new performances by the finalists. However, while this is usually a time to celebrate the best of the season, fans were disappointed with the entire affair this year. Many fans said the performances “sucked,” while others said they were just “underwhelmed.”

You’re in luck, Dawson. Revealed on Wednesday night’s edition of “The Masked Singer” were two eliminated celebrities: Singer Paula Cole, whose hits include “I Don’t Want to Wait” (used famously as the theme song for “Dawson’s Creek”), as well as “Black-ish” star Marsai Martin.

Cole was revealed to be the star under the Ship costume, while Martin was singing under the guise of the Woodpecker.

Panelist Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg figured out the Ship was Paula Cole. Ken Jeong though it was Alanis Morissette. Robin Thicke named Amy Lee from Evanescence. Rita Ora said it was Sarah McLachlan.

“I did not know about the show,” Cole told Variety.

Exclusive: The strange, true-life story of Elmer McCurdy, a turn-of-the-20th Century train robber whose corpse became a carnival attraction and unwitting stage prop well into the 1970s, will be adapted into a musical by the writers of Broadway’s acclaimed The Band’s Visit.

The new theater piece, titled Dead Outlaw, will feature music and lyrics by David Yazbek and Erik Della Penna, with a book by Itamar Moses. The project marks the first reteaming of Yasbek and Moses since their multiple-Tony-winning The Band’s Visit, which made its Broadway debut in 2017.

Yazbek and Della Penna have composed 14-songs for Dead Outlaw, and a premiere presentation is scheduled for March 14 at the Manhattan venue 54 Below.

Sunday night’s Grammys featured a slew of incredible performances, but there was one the stood out above all others. Yes, it happened — Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion performed “Wap” live on primetime television.

Before the performance, the main question was simply How the duo would be able to pull off the song, considering its explicit lyrics. The answer was simple: they replaced most of the words and bleeped out the ones that couldn’t be easily replaced. In fact, the changes brought the duo’s lip syncing — a common practice at the Grammys — into sharp focus for some.

Amber Woodhouse is exhausted. The Nashville-based singer and musician, who joined Steve Gorman’s roots-rock band Trigger Hippy last year, is tired of being your token black friend. Woodhouse plainly says as much in a first-person poem that the Minneapolis native wrote after the death of George Floyd at the hands of police.

Woodhouse happened to be visiting her parents’ when Floyd was killed and was out for a bike ride in Minnehaha Park, not far from where he died. When she returned home and heard about the incident, she was shaken.

Singer Shirley Jones is showing her love and support for her grandson, Jack Cassidy, after his successful blind audition on Monday's The Voice.

David Cassidy‘s nephew Jack wowed viewers and fans with his blind audition on Monday’s The Voice, and successfully moved on to the battle rounds.

While playing the keys, the 18-year-old — who is also the grandson of Partridge Family‘s Shirley Jones — belted out Joan Osborne’s 1995 hit “One of Us” to sway coaches Adam Levine and Alicia Keys to turn their red chairs.

Jack Cassidy -- nephew of David Cassidy and grandson of The Partridge Family's Shirley Jones -- took steps to find his place in his family's musical heritage by competing in The Voice's blind auditions on Monday.

Before coming out to perform for the panel of judges, Cassidy sat down for a pre-recorded segment, where he opened up about his background.

"I come from a very musical family," Cassidy shared. "Growing up, everyone was a singer and everyone had their own careers. It's just been this searching and this struggle to find out who I was."

James Gandolfini's funeral was held this morning at the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in New York. Among the mourners were his "Sopranos" castmates as well as the show's creator, David Chase, who offered a eulogy for his friend and colleague. Alan Sepinwall, who for 14 years served as the television columnist at The Star-Ledger, Tony Soprano's newspaper of choice, posted a transcript of what he said at HitFix. "I tried to write a traditional eulogy, but it came out like bad TV," Chase confessed, and what he wrote instead is sad and lovely, and proposes one last scene for the character Gandolfini played so well: You know, everybody knows that we always ended an episode with a song. That was kind of like me and the writers letting the real geniuses do the heavy lifting: Bruce, and Mick and Keith, and Howling Wolf and a bunch of them.
