Our city is often been the star of music videos by local rockers. We've seen yarnbombed thrift shops, angry bicyclists and same-sex marriages interrupted, "Graduate"-style.
But San Francisco inhabited by CGI criminal robots is something we hadn't seen. And the result is kind of terrifying.
In their new video "My Revenge," local rockers King Loses Crown channeled all of our nightmares and put them in our city streets: Robot murder, robot suicide, robots stalking children at the playground and dealing drugs outside of a massage parlor.
The video features shots of Golden Gate Park, the Tenderloin and some sketchy spots near the freeway.
As Sf Weekly noted, the video was directed by Jim Mitchell, who handled visual effects for "Sleepy Hallow," "Jurassic Park III" and the "Harry Potter" series. So clearly he's not messing around.

“All My Children” actor Jacob Young is losing his TV dad, David Canary, this week.
Young, who plays Adam Chandler’s son J.R., tells Korbi TV that he’s truly saddened by Canary’s retirement.
“[David] is ‘All My Children,’ as much as Susan Lucci is, as much as [the late] Jimmy Mitchell was,” he says.
Of course Young’s character J.R. is apparently the catalyst for Adam leaving town. Something about sleeping with his pops’ young wife, Annie?
Oh, Pine Valley.
Check out the clip for more from Young on Canary, his fierce performances and what a privilege it’s been to work with him.
