Darin Miller

Darin has been working in the industry for over 46 years. His first job was at 6 weeks old when his dad, a legendary UPM (F.A. Miller 1939-2016,) needed a baby for an airport scene. Working with his dad on his films he joined SAG as a teen doing background work. As a young adult he branched out and working on the Swing Gang or Set Dressing. He found his love for working with film when he moved to the Camera Department as a loader. One of his first shows was Tales from the Crypt. Staying with Camera he worked as a 2nd. A.C. for many years until moving up to his current position as 1st A.C. With his close to 5 decades of working in the industry he has had the pleasure of working with many legendary producers, directors, cinematographers and actors and has been credited for always being proactive and professional.

For many years Darin and his family would design and build a haunted house maze at their house in Glendale. It ran the last two weeks of October. They would bus in kids form local Los Angeles orphanages, at risk youth centers and foster care programs to visit the haunted house. Eventually they would have close to 7,000 guests go through their maze.

He has two children from his first marriage and met his current wife, Rachelle (Event Planner / Owner of Indiana's Dog Adventures & Pet Sittong) a mutual friends Halloween party. Their family wedding was a Zombie Apocolypse BBQ in Las Vegas a week before Halloween in 2013.
