Everyone’s favorite Teen Wolf sidekick is Stiles Stilinski, and without Dylan O’Brien, Stiles would not be nearly as well-known of a character, making Teen Wolf one of Dylan O’Brien’s best movies and TV shows. O’Brien got his big break with Teen Wolf after making videos and sharing them online. Since he got that big break in 2011, O’Brien has gone on to have a varied career in Hollywood.
O’Brien did not use Teen Wolf to jump into other high school or teen projects, which was likely a good decision on his part. Because of that, he is not simply known as a teen actor or someone whose best roles are all in his teen years. Instead, O’Brien has had a variety of action, comedy, drama, and thriller roles that show his versatility as an actor and make up his best movies and TV shows.

The West Wing is widely considered one of the best television dramas about the political landscape in America. It remains one of Aaron Sorkin's greatest projects, and the show's quality rarely dipped throughout its seven-season run. The acclaimed show follows Democratic United States President Josiah Bartlet (Martin Sheen) and his tenure as a two-term president, focusing on the work done in the White House as his cabinet ran the country daily while avoiding attacking either side of the political spectrum.
The series was a huge success, winning a then-record nine Emmy wins for its first season and winning Outstanding Drama Series in four consecutive seasons. Since The West Wing's seven seasons follow more than eight years (three different presidential terms in the show's fictional world), there would be plenty of changes in the cast, including notable departures from staple actors like Rob Lowe. This was especially true after...

There are plenty of TV show characters who prove themselves to be absolute Grinches, as in characters who don't like Christmas at all even if they technically observe it. The best Christmas episodes from great TV shows are typically full of joy and feature heartwarming storylines, but sometimes, there is a character who spoils all the fun for everybody else. These characters typically voice their hatred of the festive season at any given opportunity, but some simply demonstrate it through their actions and dialogue.
A lot of Christmas TV episodes that are surprisingly dark focus on why a character may struggle with the occasion, although this doesn’t always justify their behavior. Regardless of the characters' religious beliefs or upbringing, holiday episodes in TV shows usually see characters coming together for celebrations. However, some "Grinches" in TV shows simply don’t enjoy Christmas.

An indispensable aspect of popular culture that has produced some of the best shows of all time, sitcoms number among the most widely watched and influential forms of television out there. Featuring beloved and long-running names like The Office, Peep Show, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, the best sitcoms of all time chronicle a diverse array of stories from all walks of life, continuously evolving and highlighting that there is no set formula for a show to become wildly successful.
However, for every superb sitcom that deserves every bit of the praise that it receives, there's at least one counterpart that leaves viewers scratching their heads as to how the show even got off the ground in the first place. The 2024 U.S. elections had to be one of the most entertaining elections in the United States history. Suits is one of the best and most popular legal dramas that managed to make the profession of lawyer cool again. Created by Aaron Korsh, the USA Network series follows Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), who has a photographic memory and joins Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) at a prestigious law firm. The only problem with that is Mike didn’t actually go to law school and he doesn’t have a degree about which he has to lie to everyone. Suits ran for 9 brilliant seasons and ended its run in 2019. So, if you loved the witty banter, high stakes, and compelling characters in Suits here are some similar brilliant shows you should check out next.

Aaron Sorkin says he’s often asked whether The West Wing could work today. His answer, for the most part, is yes: his present-day depiction of the White House, like the one he created 25 years ago, would still be idealistic and still feel completely aspirational.
But there is one element from his Emmy-winning series that viewers couldn’t vibe with today, Sorkin told the audience Saturday during a mini-cast reunion of The West Wing: the idea that reasonable Republicans work on Capitol Hill.
“I don’t want to get a rumble started or anything like that,” Sorkin told the crowd at the Skirball Center event, which was meant to celebrate the Aug. 13 release of the book What’s Next: A Backstage Pass to The West Wing by show stars Melissa Fitzgerald and Mary McCormack. “This is simply what would be different. Joshua Malina‘s wife, Melissa Merwin, has filed for divorce from the West Wing actor after nearly 28 years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” According to court documents obtained by TMZ on Monday (August 5), Merwin, a costume designer who has worked on productions like Fallen, Ellen, and Point of No Return, has requested spousal support from Malina. An exact date of the separation was not specified. Merwin did not request child support as the former couple share two adult children, daughter Isabel, 26, and son Avi, 22. The documents state that Merwin would like to dissolve the marriage “amicably” and “with minimal court intervention.” Malina met Merwin in 1992 through Merwin’s sister, Jennifer Merwin, and his former brother-in-law, Timothy Busfield. They dated for several years before tying the knot in December 1996. Despite being married for almost three decades, the pair kept their relationship out of the spotlight, except for rare social media posts from Malina.

The screenwriter behind “A Few Good Men” and “The American President,” as well as the creator of the much-lauded TV series “The West Wing,” Aaron Sorkin, despite having no experience in government or politics, has always claimed a sharp understanding of the behind-the-scenes machinations that keep the world spinning. In his most recent display of this keen awareness, Sorkin published an op-ed in The New York Times this morning, prior to President Biden announcing his withdrawal from the presidential race and endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris, in which he told Democrats to nominate Republican Mitt Romney at their convention next month.
In the piece, Sorkin reflects on a season 3 plot of “The West Wing” in which fictional President Bartlet (Martin Sheen) decides to run for re-election despite recently announcing withholding his multiple sclerosis diagnosis from the electorate. Bartlet managed to prove his worthiness despite the illness and goes on to win a second term,...

Aaron Sorkin is reversing course on his recommendation for what the Democrats should do if faced with the prospect of Joe Biden dropping out of the 2024 presidential race.
“I take it all back. Harris for America!” Sorkin said, via a message posted by Joshua Malina, one of the stars of The West Wing. A spokesperson for Sorkin confirmed the quote.
Earlier today, Sorkin had published an op ed in The New York Times, recommending a new “script” for Democrats: An open convention where they nominate Mitt Romney to be the party’s standard bearer.
Sorkin wrote that such a move would be “a clear and powerful demonstration that this election isn’t about what our elections are usually about it, but about stopping a deranged man from taking power.”
“Surely Mr. Romney, who doesn’t have to be introduced to voters, would peel off enough Republican votes to win, probably by a lot,...

Aaron Sorkin no longer believes the Democratic Party should select Republican Senator Mitt Romney as its candidate in the 2024 presidential race.
Earlier on Sunday, an op-ed by Sorkin was published in the New York Times, in which the “West Wing” creator suggested that the Democratic Party should select a Republican candidate to defeat former President Donald Trump this November.
“At their convention next month, the Democrats should nominate Mitt Romney,” Sorkin wrote.
However, after President Joe Biden announced hours later that he was dropping out of the race, Sorkin retracted his sentiment — or his “pitch to the writers’ room,” as he put it in his op-ed. He also publicly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, who launched her campaign for the White House.

Exclusive: The West Wing actor Joshua Malina will make his London stage bow in the fall playing a “secular, sarcastic, anti-religious Jew” who says “the unsayable” about Israel in what’s being billed as the European premiere of Nathan Englander’s adaptation of his 2012 short story What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank.
“It’s quite exciting to have Malina making his English debut,” said the show’s director, Patrick Marber.
Described by Marber as a “serious comedy with seriously funny jokes, but its purpose is serious,” the show will run October 4-November 23 at the Marylebone Theatre in London.
Marber and his producers Oliver King, Nina Tassler, David Daniels and Craig Dorfman are hoping to transfer into the West End after its run at the Marylebone.
And, they’re eager for the production to have “more life” after London.
“Off Broadway, Broadway subsidized — doesn’t matter,” Marber pleaded.

The Good Doctor welcomes Peter Jacobson as a new cast member, adding to the exciting crossover appeal with House alumni. Fans can expect Jacobson's guest appearance in Season 7, Episode 2, bringing a unique sense of nostalgia and familiarity to the show. While the possibility of a Hugh Laurie cameo may be slim, The Good Doctor continues to engage audiences with familiar faces from House.
The Good Doctor is adding another House cast member to its ensemble, which is incredible news for audiences that admire both medical dramas. However, in some ways, the news is also a reminder of the fact that it may be too late for another highly-demanded House cameo in The Good Doctor. This makes the arrival of the House star bittersweet, giving audiences mixed feelings of excitement surrounding the new actor's appearance and longing for the one star who may never make a cameo.

Amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, Israeli actress Gal Gadot showed support for her native country.
The conflict reached a flash point on Saturday when Hamas launched a series of surprise attacks from the Gaza Strip with fighters crossing over the border.
Israel then retaliated against Hamas-controlled Gaza. This has led to massive casualties on both sides, with 700 Israelis killed and 1,000 wounded, while 493 Palestinians were killed and 2,751 wounded.
Taking to Instagram, Gadot expressed support for Israel.
Posting a screenshot of a BBC story about the conflict, Gadot wrote, “At least 250 Israeli[s] have been murdered and dozens of women children and elders held as hostages in Gaza, by Palestinian military group Hamas. Starting early morning more than 3,000 rockets were fired. Hamas is holding hostages, controlling bases and settlements in Israel.
There have been more than 1,500 injured and heavy fighting is still ongoing.”

As SAG-AFTRA and the WGA continue to strike and fight for a new deal, the picket lines are remaining full. In fact, they’re so full that multiple series have seen cast and crew reunions while marching.
Some have been spontaneous, as old colleagues run into each other by chance at a given location. Others have been planned, making sure to get as many members out on the lines as possible. So, we rounded up some of the biggest ones, ranging from shows long since ended, to those still fresh in our hearts.
You can check out some of the biggest reunions in the photos below.

The Drew Barrymore Show resumed filming in the midst of the dual writers’ and actors’ strike, sparking criticism from the show’s writers who picketed outside the studio on Monday. The Writers Guild of America East also confirmed in a statement on Twitter, “The Drew Barrymore Show is a WGA covered, struck show that is planning to return without its writers. The Guild has, and will continue to, picket struck shows that are in production during the strike. Any writing on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ is in violation of WGA strike rules.

Actor Joshua Malina hinted that a revival of The West Wing is in the cards, but he may just be trolling fans. The series, which has been listed as one of the best of all time by publications including Time and Rolling Stone, was created by Aaron Sorkin and ran for seven seasons between 1999 and 2006. It followed the administration of President Josiah Bartlet (Martin Sheen) and the ins and outs of the daily operations of the presidency with a cast of characters that included eventual communications director Will Bailey (Malina), chief of staff Josh Lyman (Bradley Whitford), deputy communications director Sam Seaborn (Rob Lowe), and press secretary C.J. Cregg (Allison Janney).
Today on Twitter, Malina posted that he had returned to the platform "just in time to talk about The West Wing reboot."

Watching "The West Wing" now feels like revisiting a moment in time. Aaron Sorkin's groundbreaking political drama follows President Josiah Bartlet (Martin Sheen) and his senior staff as they strive to make the world a better place during two terms in the nation's highest office. It's an idealistic — some would say naive — depiction of politics that feels like a fantasy in the divided America of today. Airing in the early days of peak TV, the network drama was unique in its verisimilitude, lack of studio interference, and inclusion of characters who looked, felt, and acted like real people.
You'd think that a show about the White House would revolve around its most famous occupant, but Potus is just one of its many compelling characters. In fact, originally, the president wasn't supposed to be on the show at all. Rather, Sorkin's intent was to follow the staffers, assistants, secretaries, and...

I feel a little awkward about what I’m about to do. It’s not something I’ve ever done before and, to be honest, it doesn’t come naturally. But what the heck, there’s a first time for everything, so here goes nothing.
I’m about to agree with the Academy.
Shocking, right? The run-up to this year’s Oscars was filled with more embarrassing missteps than a Rob Lowe-Snow White production number. The Academy infuriated rank-and-file members by pre-taping eight below-the-line awards to trim the ceremony (which still managed to run 20 minutes longer than last year). It snubbed Volodymyr Zelenskyy from an on-air appearance, despite Sean Penn’s threat to publicly smelt his Oscar if the Ukrainian president wasn’t allowed to speak (Zelenskyy ended up slumming it at the Grammys). Even the Academy’s brand-new 500 million movie museum — the one that co-host Wanda Sykes toured...

It’s no secret that Shonda Rhimes knows her way around a juicy scandal. The powerful producer’s allegiance to her ABC hit Scandal is evident in the supporting cast of her dishy docudrama opus Inventing Anna, the long-awaited followup to her breakout period romantic fantasy Bridgerton. Throughout Anna‘s nine lengthy episodes (many weighing in at over an hour), you’ll spot Shondaland repertory players including Katie Lowes, Kate Burton, Joshua Malina, Chris Lowell and most memorably Jeff Perry. The star attraction, of course, is the astonishing Julia Garner (a two-time Emmy winner as Ozark‘s formidable Ruth Langmore), trying on another wild and bizarre accent—a strangled concoction of Russian and German—as con artist extraordinaire Anna Delvey (born Sorokin), a glamorous and shockingly rude pretender who lied her way into Manhattan’s highest society, duping investors and defrauding hotels and other businesses with her faux cover story as a German heiress.

I’ll take snarky comments for $100. That’s the attitude displayed so far by Hollywood reactions to the news that Mike Richards has stepped down as the host of Jeopardy! after one show.
Richards, a controversial choice ever since he was announced as the host that would replace longtime face of the show Alex Trebek, decided today to step down and reopen the search for a new host. That’s after a devastating expose of past sexist and off-color comments made during a podcast some seven years ago left his position untenable. He will stay on as the show’s executive producer.
The online world gave him a hearty and unsentimental send-off today after the news broke, including a dig by former Jeopardy! champion James Holzhauer. But at least one celebrity (a former tryout for the show hosting duties) found a reason to smile.

Kevin can't seem to catch a break.
On This Is Us Season 5 Episode 7, he rushed off the set when he learned Madison was in labor, just to lose his ID while helping rescue an injured man from a burning car.
Our TV Fanatics Carissa Pavlica, Christine Orlando, Sarah Little, and Jack Ori discuss whether Kevin did the right thing, whether we liked the twist of him turning out not to be the one involved in the accident, and all other things This Is Us.
Rate the twist of Kevin not being the person involved in the accident from 1 (I totally saw this lame twist coming) to 10 (I was flabbergasted.)
Carissa: I think lame and flabbergasted are similar terms, so I'm not sure how to rate on your scale.
However, I was relieved. That's a trope used too often, and allowing Kevin to make a tough decision for the right reasons was a much better option.

Joshua Malina (Scandal) and Beth Triffon (Ten Days in the Valley) have joined the casts of Showtime’s Shameless and ABC’s The Goldbergs, respectively, in recurring roles. Both initially signed for one-episode guest shots, which have already aired. Both were received well and ultimately turned into sizeable guest arcs.
Malina recurs as Arthur Trilling on the eleventh and final season of Shameless. Arthur is a longtime Chicago cop who stays safe on the job by refusing to leave his squad car. Then he is assigned Carl Gallagher as his junior partner and that changed everything.
Starring William H. Macy, the final season of Shameless finds the Gallagher family and the South Side at a crossroads, with changes caused by the Covid pandemic, gentrification and aging to reconcile.
Jeremy Allen, Ethan Cutkosky, Cameron Monaghan, Noel Fisher, Steve Howey, Shanola Hampton, Christian Isaiah and Kate Miner also star.
