Deadline reports that filming has wrapped on a serial killer action thriller called The Neglected, which was shot in Mississippi and stars Josh Duhamel (Shotgun Wedding). Duhamel’s co-stars include Dylan Sprouse (The Duel), Til Schweiger (Inglourious Basterds), Jeremy London (Mallrats), Jason London (Dazed and Confused), and Elena Sanchez (Devil’s Peak).

Directed and produced by David Lipper, who also crafted the script with Adam G. Levine, The Neglected tells the story of Detective Shaw (Josh Duhamel), who is about to retire when he finds out on his last day of work that a serial killer has buried his son alive. He then races against the clock to solve three murders and find his son’s location before he runs out of air.

BondIt Media Capital provided the financing. Lipper is producing the film alongside Robert A. Daly Jr. of Latigo, Mark Canton, Dorothy Canton, Denise Loren, Mark Fasano, and Ryan Winterstern.

Also starring Jeremy and Jason London and Elena Sanchez, the film is co-written by Adam G. Levine and Lipper, who produced alongside Robert A. Daniel Zirilli, a prolific director, producer and writer of action films and more than 200 music videos including the Rolling Stones’ “Voodoo Lounge,” died April 28. He was 58.

His death was announced by his family. No cause was disclosed, but an Instagram message posted by his daughter Talise Zirilli last weekend indicated that he had been missing since April 24.

Born November 13, 1965, Zirilli founded Popart Film Factory at age 24 after graduating from Pepperdine University in Malibu. In the subsequent years, he would direct and writer more than 30 feature films, most in the action and thriller genres. He was a producer on more than 85 films.

Among his most recent, Zirilli directed, produced and co-wrote Invincible, released by Lionsgate in 2022. Shot on location in Thailand, Invincible starred Johnny Strong, Marko Zaror and Michael Pare, who also appeared in Zirilli’s Hollow Point (2019) along with Luke Goss and Jay Mohr.

Decades later, the film seems to be set in the 1950s, Teddy is a detective and a horror novelist. He’s helped in both of these careers by his ability to see, and talk to, the dead. Half a year after its initial premiere in Flint, Michigan, the exciting new horror noir film Half Dead Fred is set to release on digital platforms. Screen Rant is thrilled to exclusively announce that filmmaker Bron Theron's latest effort, developed under his White Ninja Productions banner, will be available for rent or purchase on Prime Video beginning on March 15.

Half Dead Fred follows the titular character, Freddy Nash. The detective medium gains the ability to see dead people after a car accident that should have killed him, and which indeed took the life of his 9-year-old son. The real action of Half Dead Fred begins when the detective and his assistant travel from Los Angeles to Flint in order to investigate a murder, which winds up leading them on a quest for treasure as well.

Grandave Intl. has acquired worldwide sales rights to action thriller feature “Joe Baby,” Tamara Nagahiro, Grandave Intl. head of sales, announced Tuesday.

The film stars Dichen Lachman, Willa Fitzgerald, Academy Award nominated actor Harvey Keitel, two-time Primetime Emmy Awards nominated and Golden Globe winner Ron Perlman, Kelly Hu, Jason London, and Kenneth Choi.

The title, currently in post-production, will be introduced to buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin, which starts on Thursday.

Barkan comes from Mutiny Pictures, which he helped negotiate the sale of to New Jersey distribution company BayView Entertainment.

Fremantle Boosts Revenue By 25% For Rtl Group

Hand of God outfit Fremantle increased its revenue by 25% last year to €1.9Bn ($2.1Bn) as owner Rtl Group, the European media conglomerate, recorded a 10% turnover rise to €6.6Bn ($7.3Bn) and a profit boost of 35% to €1.1Bn ($1.2Bn). Rtl this morning said it is making progress on Fremantle’s growth plan, following four acquisitions in the past year including, most recently, the purchase of 70% of respected Italian producer Lux Vide, along with 12 Nent Group production labels. Fremantle put 81 drama productions into production across the year and scored hits with the likes of Paolo Sorrentino’s Oscar-nominated Hand of God for Netflix. The previous year saw a big drop in returns due to the impact of the Coronavirus. The outfit, which has just struck a talent deal with Angelina Jolie, is targeting €3Bn returns by 2025. Faith-based sales agent announces raft of deals.

Pure Flix / Quality Flix sales head Ron Gell has started talks with AFM 2020 Online buyers this week on a slate of rom-coms staring Kristy Swanson, Lee Majors, and Scott Baio.

The sales agency known for working on faith-based titles has also announced a raft of sales on the new films and other titles.

Courting Mom & Dad features Swanson (Buffy The Vampire Slayer), Baio, John Farley, Vanessa Angel, and Bailey Baio.

The story centres on three children who seek the help of an eccentric personal injury attorney to delay the divorce of their parents.

The cast of Dazed and Confused — including Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck, Parker Posey and Jason London — will reunite for a virtual table read of director Richard Linklater’s cult 1993 film to raise money for Texas’ mail-in voting efforts.

Both the Voto Latino Foundation and March For Science will host the October 11th livestream, which will have pretty much Lee High School’s entire 1976 incoming senior class in attendance: Jason London, Anthony Rapp, Adam Goldberg, Nicky Katt, Joey Lauren Adams, Wiley Wiggins, Marissa Ribisi, Cole Hauser, Rory Cochrane and more.

Matthew McConaughey and the cast of Dazed and Confused will reunite on October 11 for a live script reading of the 1993 film to benefit Dallas-based March for Science’s #VoteForScience campaign in support of Texas voting initiatives.

The reading also benefits the Voto Latino Foundation, a voter outreach and education nonprofit for that community.

A certain generation regards this 1993 comedy-drama from Richard “Boyhood” Linklater as their The Breakfast Club. Except its period setting makes it a recollection rather than a snapshot, so it has more in common with George Lucas’s American Graffiti. Dazed & Confused similarly cautions against nostalgia, reminding us that, whatever the decade, youth is a challenging and awkward time; joyous for some and cruel for others.

In typical Linklater style, the action takes place within a tight timeframe: the last day of school in the year 1976. (“School’s out for summer!” cries Alice Cooper – one of many on-the-nose music cues throughout the film.) Unleashed, an array of students and ex-students run rampant around town, bickering and bantering, picking on the younger kids, while looking forward to what feels like the last party of their childhood.

Lifetime is bringing the cast of One Tree Hill back together!

The cabler has ordered 'Tis the Season: A One Tree Hill Cast Reunion which will find Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, Danneel Ackles, Tyler Hilton, Stephen Colletti, and Antwon Tanner back together, presumably to chat about their time on the WB/CW drama.

What's more, there's not that long to wait for this special: It will air Thursday, November 22 at 10/9c and will span one-hour.

The news comes just months after there were rumors that a revival of the series was in the works because members of the cast of the hit drama were sharing images on social media that seemed to hint at a reunion.

However, it was later revealed that select cast members were assembling to work on The Christmas Contract, the latest Lifetime original movie.

We’re just one day past the autumnal equinox, but Lifetime already is in the holiday spirit. The cable channel has unwrapped its slate of Christmas movies, and there are 14 new originals under the tree this year along with nine acquired pics and a couple of specials.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas as the A+E Networks-owned net unveils its telepic slate billed as It’s a Wonderful Lifetime. After kicking off November 21 with a week featuring five nights of premieres, each ensuing week of the holiday season will feature new movies every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Check out the full lineup with descriptions and premiere dates below.

“It’s a Wonderful Lifetime is back in a major way with more hours of holiday programming than we have ever had before,” said Tanya Lopez, Evp Movies, Limited Series and Original Movie Acquisitions at Lifetime and Lmn.

As star Parker Posey described it in her book, one of the photos looked like “Ted Nugent meets daredevil Evel Knievel and just as gorgeous as Jesus Christ.”
