Barry Jossen
Barry Jossen is President and Head of A+E Studios. In his role, Jossen oversees all creative and business operations of A+E Studios, the in-house scripted production arm of the acclaimed global media company A+E Networks, including creative affairs, production, business operations, and strategy on all programming developed and produced by the studio.

Jossen is an award-winning producer and television and film executive who joined A+E Networks in 2014 as Executive Vice President of A+E Studios. During his tenure at A+E Networks Jossen has produced series such as Peabody Award-winning drama "UnREAL," Emmy® nominated miniseries "Roots," "Reprisal" for Hulu, "Project Blue Book" for The History Channel, "YOU" with Berlanti Productions, "The Liberator" for Netflix and "Big Sky" from showrunner David E. Kelley for ABC and the upcoming "The Lincoln Lawyer" also from creator David E. Kelley and based on Michael Connelly's best-selling novels for Netflix.

Before joining A+E Studios, Jossen served as head of ABC Studios, where he was responsible for oversight of all studio operations and strategic planning, including creative development, current programming, production, post production and music. Under his leadership, ABC Studios produced numerous groundbreaking series, including "Lost," "Desperate Housewives," "Grey's Anatomy," and "Scandal."

He founded and launched ABC Signature, a boutique studio that creates content for off-network and emerging platforms and helped grow ABC Studios' cable portfolio with such series as "Perception," "Cougar Town," and Lifetime's "Devious Maids" and "Army Wives." Jossen was also the founder of Disney's Stage 9, an early initiative in its streaming ambitions.

Prior to ABC Studios, Jossen was an executive consultant for Imagine Television, where he supervised the production of "24" and "Felicity," while developing additional projects for the studio. Before Imagine, he was executive producer on the series "Grapevine," and co-executive producer on "Sex and the City." Previously, Jossen served as head of production at DreamWorks Television and producer at Lucasfilm Limited.

Jossen's honors include three Emmy nominations as a producer for "Lost: Missing Pieces," "Sex and the City," and "Roots." He has won the CableACE Award for Best Drama Series for HBO's Vietnam War Story and, most prestigiously, he won an Academy Award for producing the 1996 Live Action Shorty Film "Dear Diary."
