House of the Dragon season 2, episode 3 is the best episode so far in the prequel's sophomore run. Olivia Cooke & Emma D'Arcy's chemistry brings life to their scenes, and Daemon's storyline shines too. The Battle of the Burning Mill's omission is the episode's main drawback.

The Acolyte episode 5 ends with Mae switching places with Osha due to their identical appearance as twins. House of the Dragon season 2, episode 2 ended with a similar twist only two days before The Acolyte, when Arryk Cargyll infiltrated a castle under the guise of his twin brother, Erryk. Both shows teased the twin twists before they happened, making it even more coincidental that they paid off in the same week.

One twist in The Acolyte episode 5 centered around twins Osha and Mae, with this exact twist being used in the same week by Game of Thrones' spin-off, House of the Dragon. After the ending of The Acolyte episode 4, a big focus of The Acolyte episode 5's story centered on the clash between the Jedi and the mysterious Sith warrior who has been puppeteering the events of the series.

The fallout from Blood and Cheese drives compelling character arcs in House of the Dragon season 2, episode 2. The second episode features strong performances by Tom Glynn-Carney, Phia Saban, and Rhys Ifans. The Cargyll twins' duel is pretty good, but is not as memorable as other Game of Thrones swordfights.

House of the Dragon season 2, episode 2 is another solid installment of the Game of Thrones prequel, as the Dance of the Dragons edges closer to truly catching fire. The second episode picks up directly from Blood and Cheese killing Prince Jaehaerys Targaryen, and its the fallout from it that drives the story and character arcs at play here. It results in conflicts on both sides of the Greens/Blacks divide, some of which are better than others.

House of the Dragon season 2 intensifies a Daenerys plot hole from Game of Thrones. Cregan Stark tells the story of King Jaehaerys and Queen Alysanne's dragons refusing to fly beyond the Wall, but it's not explained why they wouldn't (or couldn't) when Daenerys flew her dragons North of it in Game of Thrones. It's possible this is related to the magic of the Wall or the threat of the White Walkers, but it's largely unexplained right now.

House of the Dragon season 2, episode 1 makes one Daenerys Targaryen plot hole from Game of Thrones a lot worse. For the most part, House of the Dragons timeline means it doesnt have too much of an impact on its predecessor, since this is all happening 170+ years earlier. There are some exceptions, however, such as Aegon the Conqueror's A Song of Ice and Fire recontextualizing the White Walkers defeat.

House of the Dragon season 2, episode 1 is a pretty good way to kick off the Game of Thrones prequel's sophomore year. It does a good job of laying the groundwork for the Dance of the Dragons, with some extremely impressive performances. Some parts, however, such as Blood and Cheese, were rather disappointing.

After almost two years, House of the Dragon season 2, episode 1 is finally here, and its mostly worth the wait. Picking things up just days after House of the Dragon season 1s ending, the season 2 premiere is about dealing with the fallout from Lucerys Velaryons death, getting various pieces back in place, and properly beginning the Targaryen civil war. Although I felt there were a couple of missteps, its a solid return and a promising sign of things to come.

The sequel to the hit 2018 horror film The Nun is finally here and it is directed by Michael Chaves with a screenplay written by Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and Akela Cooper from a story by Akela Cooper. The new addition to The Conjuring Universe follows the investigation of a violent murder of a priest led by Sister Irene. The Nun II is set nearly four years after the first film.

A couple weeks ago, it was announced that Kit Connor of the hit Netflix series Heartstopper had signed on to star in the mystery horror film One of Us. The King, my lord, is dead. Viserys I of House Targaryen, First of His Name, King of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men (Paddy Considine), passed away fitfully in his sleep at the end of Episode 8 of “House of the Dragon.” He is survived by his wife, his daughter, and their children, who will probably all kill each other at any moment.

House of the Dragon is a bonafide hit for HBO.

The ratings are in for House of the Dragon Season 1 Episode 2, and the series experienced some growth.

One week after launching as the most-watched HBO series premiere ever, the Game of Thrones spinoff spiked 2 to 10.2 million viewers on Sunday night.

These numbers are for U.S. only, and the numbers are expected to be much higher as the weeks go on.

House of the Dragon Season 1 Episode 1, which logged 9.98 million viewers earlier this month on its first night of release, is now approaching 25 million viewers in the U.S. alone.

HBO notes, however, that these numbers are based on a HBO Max and linear telecasts, based on a combination of Nielsen and first party data.

Given that many shows typically drop in the vicinity of 10 to 15 in their second weeks, this is a huge vote of confidence in the franchise.

After the premiere of the highly-anticipated Game of Thrones prequel, HBO has now released the House of the Dragon opening credits as the second episode of the fantasy drama aired.

Viewers will be familiar with the theme song used for the opening sequence of House of the Dragon as it was the same tune that played throughout the Game of Thrones 8-season run.

According to HBO, House of the Dragon Season 1 Episode 1 has now been seen by over 20 million viewers across linear, On Demand, and HBO Max platforms in the U.S., "based on a combination of Nielsen data and first party data," the press release states.

The second-season pickup comes as little a surprise, given HBO’s financial investment in the show, as well as the fact that the premiere shattered HBO’s record for the biggest premiere audience for a new show ever. Nearly 10 million people tuned in across all platforms this past Sunday, with HBO now claiming that number has risen to 20 million after four days of playback.
