- Brad holds a first degree black belt in the martial art of Kempo. He has also trained in Tae Kwon Do, Seido Karate, and Northern Praying Mantis Kung-Fu.
- The first time Brad earned money performing was as a street mime in Washington D.C. in 1977.
- As a child, Brad developed a great affection for horror movies by watching a Friday night horror movie TV show "Sir Graves Ghastly Presents...", starring the late Lawson Deming.
- Brad trained for six years under Tony- and Emmy-Award winning actor Michael Moriarty.
- Plays the religious street protester in 1986 music video promo, for the song "Living in a Boy's World" by American melodic rock singer Fiona.
- Brad's short film, "Run for Your Love," won Best Film and Best Acting awards at the 1979 EVOL Super-8 Film Festival at American University in Washington D.C.
- Early in his career, Brad worked a multitude of day jobs, including: sewing angel wings for a production of "The Nutcracker"; off-loading crabs in Dutch Harbor, Alaska; and compiling lists of German verb conjugations for a language acquisition book.
- In 2016 Brad served as Associate Producer and Casting Director for a short film, "Like a Butterfly," starring Ed Asner. The film has won 17 international film festival awards.
- Brad is married to Helga Schier (publishing executive). Together they have twin boys: Gabriel Schier (digital media manager) and Sebastian Schier (actor).
- To date, Brad has performed on over 150 film & television sets and has been seen in over 60 stage productions.
- At age 18 Brad and his brother hitchhiked down the west coast, from Seattle to Tijuana. They also rode freight trains, got chased by border patrol agents, and slept on beaches, in public parks and on freeway median strips.
