Villeneuve is currently in the early stages of development of the second book in the ‘Dune’ series – ‘Dune Messiah’ and it will serve as the sequel to the previous two films.

Now in his most recent interview, Villeneuve admitted that he is eyeing one more sci-fi project, a notable sci-fi epic ‘Rendezvous with Rama.’

Villeneuve said ‘Rendezvous with Rama’ is similar to ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ as it involves astronauts encountering another civilization. Unlike ‘Dune,’ it focuses on realistic, future technology, making it “hard science fiction,” which he’s excited to explore for the first time in his career. He hopes to take on such a project at least once in his life.

Lights, camera, action – Gunner certainly delivers on pulse-pounding fight sequences and gripping chase scenes. At the helm is director Dimitri Logothetis, bringing his vision for a modern military action flick to life. He assembles an all-star cast led by Luke Hemsworth in the role of Lee Gunner, a special forces soldier driven to save his sons by any means necessary.

When Lee takes his boys camping, their retreat quickly turns risky upon stumbling on a major drug ring in the woods. As their uncle perishes in an explosion and the boys get snatched, it’s up to Lee to wage an one-man war to bring them home safe. We see him systematically combating the traffickers with tactical precision. Hemsworth inhabits the intense role of the battle-hardened hero perfectly.

Along the way he butts heads with the villainous Dobbs Ryker, the son of the imprisoned crime lord played chillingly by Morgan Freeman.

From Troy to Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Brad Pitt’s filmography is filled with one iconic project after the other, making it impossible for us to pick a favorite. However, his Se7en co-star Morgan Freeman has a film picked out that he cannot stop singing praises of and it is a rather underrated one – The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Since the beginning of Emperor of the Ocean Park, Mariah was very sure that her father was murdered and that he didn’t die of natural causes. The time has come for producers to think about how to protect themselves against possible copyright and ownership challenges related to the use of generative AI tools in film and TV production.

Wanted 2 was planned with new characters and a different story, but development stalled despite initial interest and ideas. James McAvoy is open to reprising his role in Wanted 2, but the sequel has not materialized due to development issues.
