The Traitors contestant Amanda Lovett has issued an apology after appearing on Gb News last week.
The 54-year-old appeared on the channel alongside her The Traitors co-star Kieran Tompsett, and posed for a photo with presenters Tatiana Sanchez and Calvin Robinson.
Many people criticised Lovett for posing with Robinson, who has previously been called out for his stance on LGBTQ+ issues.
“I just need to apologise to my new family,” Lovett wrote in her apology on Twitter. “I am so annoyed with my agent, I had no idea what the news channel was about.
“I’m absolutely disgusted to have sat next to a person that doesn’t believe in diversity, equality and being yourself. This will never happen again.”
The Independent has contacted Gb News for comment.
In November 2022, Robinson delivered a monologue on same-sex marriages, where he said: “To me, a marriage needs a bride and groom, anything else is not holy matrimony.

The Masked Singer is back, with fans tuning in every Saturday night to try to guess which celebrity is behind each costume.
Comedian Joel Dommett has returned to host proceedings, with 13 mystery stars singing familiar songs on stage, while dressed up in an outfit obscuring their identity.
Guessing along with the in-studio audience and the viewers at home are the judges: Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross.
One way to help narrow things down is checking out who’s been on the series before – as it seems unlikely they’d return to the show (although not impossible).
So here’s a full list of who appeared on seasons one, two, three and four…
Season one
Winner: Nicola Roberts – Queen Bee
Jason Manford – Hedgehog
Katherine Jenkins – Octopus
CeeLo Green – Monster
Denise van Outen – Fox
Jake Shears – Unicorn
Skin – Duck
Kelis – Daisy
Teddy Sheringham – Tree
Justin Hawkins – Chameleon

Love Island star Jack Fowler has revealed he had an extreme allergic reaction after being served ice cream containing nuts on a flight.
He said his throat closed and he felt his tongue begin to swell “within seconds” of being served the food, despite repeated reminders to staff that he had a life-threatening allergy.
The 27-year-old, who appeared on the ITV2 show in 2018, said he felt “extremely lucky” to have immediately noticed something was wrong with the vanilla ice cream, which he spat out before discovering it had crushed pistachio nuts in it.
The former reality TV contestant, who said he was left struggling to breathe, said it was the second time during his flight with Qatar Airways that he had been served nuts, having been offered pastries with nuts after boarding the plane.
He wrote on Instagram: “I told Qatar Airways hostesses five times I was anaphylactic to nuts...

The wait…is over! The Scarecrow is back with a vengeance. Dark Night Of The Scarecrow 2 -will be available on DVD and Blu-ray Mayth 10th from Vci Entertainment. Here’s the trailer:
On October 24, 1981, television audiences were terrified when they tuned into CBS to catch the premiere of Dark Night of the Scarecrow. This little made-for-tv feature developed into a cult icon and sparked an entire scarecrow-centric subgenre of horror films. More than four decades later, the scarecrow returns in an all-new frightening film, Dark Night of the Scarecrow 2.
Single mother Chris (Amber Wedding) and her son Jeremy (Aiden Shurr) moved to a small country town in Stubblefield County. While Chris begins work at the local country store, Jeremy starts to bond with the older lady (Carol Dines) that watches him after school. On her way home from work one day, Chris happens upon an old, weather-beaten scarecrow.

I normally equate seaside towns with peace and tranquility, a place for rest, relaxation, and perhaps writing the Great Canadian Novel (it’s going to be a thinly veiled takedown of beloved children’s TV host Mr. Dressup, for the record). Clark’s Harbor however, the setting of Cry for the Strangers (1982), is a place where my laptop and I shall never set foot; there’s just too much damn tribalistic murder.
Originally broadcast by CBS on February 11th, Cry for the Strangers would have to contend with Barney Miller, Taxi, and 20/20 on ABC and Different Strokes, Gimme a Break! and Hill Street Blues on NBC, and it’s safe to say most eyes were peeping these network staples. But for those with a salty taste for the macabre, the Eye was the network to be. (For this occasion anyway; they can’t all be ABC Movie of the Week’s.

TV is usually the first portal for horror when you’re a kid. At least it was for me; pre internet horror was found either: a) at the movies, b) in comic books, or c) the idiot box. And before we were allowed to see big screen horror, TV scratched that itch. Saturday mornings had Scooby Doo, The Hilarious House of Frightenstein, and various other shows, animated or not, to quench our growing curiosity for the weird, creepy, and unusual. But if we were lucky enough to be able to watch after 9 pm, things got much more interesting.
Terrifying stories of miniature monsters, witchcraft, Satanism, and creepy cults awaited our bloodshot eyes. TV was absolutely inundated with horror, channels dripping with malicious behavior in the form of weekly shows or made for TV movies. Of course, the networks (the big – and only – three: ABC, NBC, and CBS) back then had...

“The following post is sponsored by our partner, Paramount Pictures.” That’s a message at the top of a blog item at National Review Online that introduces a trailer for 13 Hours: Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. The post, from publisher Jack Fowler, reveals that he attended a screening of the Paramount Pictures movie shortly after Christmas, and he tells his conservative audience it’s “awesome.” “I’ve seen it, and can’t wait to see it again, with my friends, and my sons,” he writes. Fowler declined to discuss the publication’s arrangement with Paramount, though it is just one of many

We got a heads-up this evening from Dark Night of the Scarecrow writer J.D. Feigelson himself that due to huge international demand, there is going to be a 30th Anniversary Blu-ray release of the fan favorite film this coming October.
Here's what J.D. told us: "It will have a lot of bonus material, most of which has never been seen. We are catering to the items which the fans have repeatedly asked for. The release street date is on or about October 4th, just in time for All Hallows."
Director Frank De Felitta's Dark Night of the Scarecrow tells of a mentally handicapped young man (Larry Drake of Darkman and Dr. Giggles villainy) wrongfully accused of assaulting a young girl in a rural farm community. Veteran character actor Charles Durning leads a lynch mob of locals to hunt down the gentle simpleton, who attempts to disguise himself as...

Dark Night Of The Scarecrow (1981)
Roots may have been the TV event of a generation for some, but for me, it was always Dark Night of the Scarecrow. Frank De Felitta's cult horror classic first aired in October 1981 and was a ratings smash for CBS, who continued to re-air the film periodically up until the mid-'80s. Although it was eventually released on VHS by Key Video, the film wasn't easy to find. It was never released (legally) on DVD, although various bootleg editions have turned up at horror conventions over the years. The picture quality of these illicit wares was terrible, however. (Not that I would, uh, know anything about that, cough cough.)
Now, thanks to Vci Entertainment, the best horror movie you've probably never heard of is finally on DVD, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I recorded Dark Night of the Scarecrow on a then-exotic VHS...

Every once in a while, a piece of news comes along that even though it is not Children of the Corn related, we feel it holds enough content and interest to deserve special mention right here on the site. Case and point - the long-awaited, first-time official dvd release of J.D. Feigelson's 1981 television classic, "Dark Night of the Scarecrow".
Larry Drake (Dr. Giggles) portrays Bubba, a mentally challenged man who befriends a small girl as a playmate in the town in which they both live. One day, the townsfolk find the girl attacked and as she is unable to tell them what happened, they assume it was Bubba. Led by postman Otis (Charles Durning), four of the men form a group, hunting Bubba down where they find him hiding as a scarecrow in a nearby cornfield. They open fire, thinking they have achieved revenge on the little girl's attacker.

The last time we mentioned the Dark Night of the Scarecrow DVD release was because writer J.D. Feigelson let us know that negotiations with Image Entertainment had broken down, but I can happily report today that things seem to be back on track. Feigelson sent us an E-mail over the weekend telling us that he recently met with Lionsgate in L.A., and "that contract negotiations are going smoothly and quickly." Nothing is 100% official but it does look promising that we still might see a Dnots DVD in 2010. We will definitely keep you updated on this one.

The first ever DVD release of Dark Night of the Scarecrow seems to have hit a snag. Writer J.D. Feigelson has informed us that "negotiations with Image Entertainment fell through," but wants fans to know that they are in talks with several other distributors including Lionsgate. Please give my apologies to the fans. Like them I had hoped that "Scarecrow" would be out now. But there are always problems that arise beyond ones control. Let me reasure everyone that the restored version will be well worth the wait. Feigelson says that a Scarecrow DVD will come out! We just might have to wait until 2010. As always we will keep you updated.

TBS taps trio for 'Water' world
TBS has recruited Lou Diamond Phillips, Kristy Swanson and rapper-actor Coolio to star in the upcoming original thriller Red Water. The film, from Sony Pictures TV, centers on a bull shark who wreaks havoc in a Louisiana river. Phillips and Swanson play a divorced couple searching the river for natural gas whose boat is hijacked by a pair of criminals (Coolio, Jaimz Woolvett) on a quest for stolen money dropped in the river. Recovery of the cash is complicated by relentless shark attacks. Charlie Carner is directing the telefilm from a script by Christopher Mack and J.D. Feigelson. Michael Larkin (ABC's Murder in the Heartland) is executive producing the movie, scheduled to premiere Aug. 10, with Mitch Engel (TNT's George Wallace) producing. On the big screen, Phillips next appears in Stark Raving Mad and the Ron Shelton-directed Two Cops.
