- Is a staff sergeant in the U. S. Air Force, working in intelligence. He has served on high-profile missions from the Middle East to Europe and has earned a dozen awards for his service. Is currently stationed in Tucson, Arizona, and will leave the USAF when his tour is up in 2003. (January 2002)
- On August 30, 2019, Emerson attended an event organized by the cast of BH90210 (2019) called "The Peach Pit Experience", to raise money for charity in honor of his late co-star Luke Perry. During this event, he was reunited with his former Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990) co-star and onscreen bestie Brian Austin Green. The two would share a long embrace in front of the cameras and a cheering audience.
