Her husband, Peter Mansbridge, was the longtime anchor of "The National", from 1988-2017, a nightly news programme on the CBC television network in Canada.
After years of dancing, stage productions, the occasional TV guest
spots and movie parts, she was brought down to New York in 1987 to
appear in an off-Broadway play. A role in the musical Pal Joey won her
a Dora Mavor Moore Award as a best actress.
