Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday director Adam Marcus unveiled the official poster for Hearts of Darkness: The Making of The Final Friday, a feature-length documentary on his Friday the 13th sequel.

In addition to Marcus, the film features interviews with stars Kane Hodder, Steven Williams, and John D. LeMay.

Other participants include actors Steven Culp, Rusty Schwimmer, Richard Gant, Kipp Marcus, Andrew Bloch, Allison Smith, Julie Michaels, Michelle Clunie, Michael B. Silver, Kathryn Atwood, and Jonathan Penner, composer Harry Manfredini, and special makeup effects artists Howard Berger and Robert Kurtzman.

Hearts of Darkness will premiere at Texas Frightmare Weekend in May with Marcus in attendance. The filmmaker will be touring with it for more screenings around the country. A Blu-ray and streaming deal is in the works.

A documentary covering the 1993 Friday the 13th sequel Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (Watch It Here – OWN It Here) has been in the works for quite a while, and about eight months ago Jason Goes to Hell director Adam Marcus took to social media to give a promising update on its progress, saying that it was about to go through the color timing and sound mixing stages of post-production. It has been longer than expected, but now Marcus has given another update, letting fans know that the color timing and sound mixing are finally happening this month.

Before the week began, Marcus wrote, “The doc just went through legal and has been approved. Which means we are officially Locked! This means the film is completed from an editing stage and we’ve taken all the steps to ensure that the film meets all the standards to be released.

This past Sunday, August 13th, marked the thirtieth anniversary of one of the most divisive entries in the Friday the 13th franchise, 1993’s Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (Watch It Here – OWN It Here). Queer as Folk will return to the U.S. with a "vibrant reimagining" of Russel T. Davies' hit British series, it has been announced.

Peacock placed a straight-to-series order on Thursday for a new series that will focus on a diverse group of friends in New Orleans.

Their lives are changed dramatically in the aftermath of a tragedy.

Stephen Dunn (Little America) is on board as creator, writer, and executive producer.

What's more, Dunn will also direct several episodes of the new series.

As for Davies, he will be heavily involved in the project, taking an Executive Producer credit.

Channel 4 aired the original Queer as Folk in the UK. It lasted 10 episodes and was subsequently remade for U.S. audiences on Showtime.

It had a five-year run from 2000-2005, concluding after five seasons.

Peacock has ordered the reboot of “Queer as Folk” to series, which had been in development since 2018.

The Peacock version is described as a vibrant reimagining of the groundbreaking British series created by Russell T. Davies, exploring a diverse group of friends in New Orleans whose lives are transformed in the aftermath of a tragedy.

Davis will executive produce, and Stephen Dunn will create and write the series. Dunn will also direct the pilot episode. The series is from UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group. Additional executive producers include Lee Eisenberg, Emily Brecht, Nicola Shindler and Richard Halliwell on behalf of Nent Studios UK, which distributes the format.

“Queer as Folk” has already been adapted for North American audiences once before, with a Pittsburgh-set adaptation running for five seasons on Showtime and the Canadian network Showcase from 2000 to 2005.

The gang from Queer as Folk is getting together again later today for an online reunion set to benefit Lgbtq community centers impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Scott Lowell, Sharon Gless, Peter Paige, Michelle Clunie, Hal Sparks, Randy Harrison and Robert Gant were initially announced to appear in the event. Members of the writing staff, guest stars from the show's run, and others may also appear on the reunion, per The Hollywood Reporter.

There’s another adaptation of “Queer as Folk” on the way.

Bravo has put into development a new reboot of the 1999 British television series about a group of gay men living in Manchester. The new show, said to be a modern take on the original series, centers on a group of club-going friends who find support in the gay community following a tragedy.

The creator of the original “Queer as Folk,” Russell T. Davis is attached to executive produce, with Stephen Dunn to write.

Director Bryan Singer is being sued for the alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old boy while on a yacht in Seattle in 2003, Variety reports.

The suit claims the director allegedly forced Cesar Sanchez-Guzman to engage in several sexual acts against his will. According to the court document obtained by Variety, Sanchez-Guzman was at a party on a yacht owned and hosted by Lester Waters, who, according to the lawsuit "was a wealthy tech investor who frequently hosted parties for young gay males in the Seattle area."

It’s a beautiful day for Bryan Singer and Michelle Clunie as they just became parents for the first time together.

The “X-Men” director and the “Queer as Folk” actress, who have been best friends for decades, named their newborn son Dashiell Julius William Clunie-Singer, and Bryan posted a photo from the delivery room.

Singer added the caption, "Michelle Clunie and I would like to welcome our beautiful son Dashiell Julius William Clunie~Singer into the world :).”

"Mother and father are both very excited about the upcoming birth and look forward to co-parenting the child together. The pair have been planning this baby for years and have been trying for the last two,” shared Bryan’s rep.

Those are the words of actress Sharon Gless talking about the gone-but-not-forgotten series, Queer As Folk, the Us take on the British hit series which ran on Showtime from December 2000- August 2005.

And while the actors from the show have been busy in multiple projects – Peter Paige (Emmett) is Exec Producing the ABC Family series, The Fosters, Gale Harold (Brian) has been acting in series like Defiance and The Secret Circle and Randy Harrison (Justin) has concentrated mostly onstage though he appears with Michael Urie in Such Good People, which is currently on the film festival circuit – is there a chance we could see them, along with co-stars Hal Sparks, Scott Lowell, Thea Gill, Michelle Clunie and, of course, multi Emmy-winner Sharon Gless, reprise their roles?

Mila Kunis has signed on to executive produce the drama Meridian Hills for the CW. The series is “set in 1972 exploring the women's liberation movement, in a boozy Midwest country club in 1972, during an era when the Equal Rights Amendment was just beginning. The drama follows a young, newly married woman who joins the Junior League and discovers an eclectic group of other young women who become unlikely allies in her quest to change the system.”

The Wizard Of Oz 70th Anniversary Ultimate Collector’S Edition (Warner Bros.) A true highlight in digital restoration technology, Warner Bros. restoration of the 1939 classic is cause for celebration. The Technicolor of the late ‘30s looks as though it was shot yesterday, and is especially stunning on Blu-ray, which was produced by scanning each of the film’s original Technicolor camera negatives using 8K resolution. From this scan, a final “capture” master was created in 4K, yielding twice the resolution seen in the master utilized for the film’s previous DVD release. The annual series of nationwide GLAAD media award ceremonies kicked off this weekend in NYC. Vanessa Williams and her pregnant Ugly Betty costar Ana Ortiz were two of the attendees, while Tyra Banks received the Excellence in Media Award for her efforts to increase "visibility and understanding of the gay and lesbian community." T.R. Knight and Chris Noth also came out to show their support, taking the stage and looking handsome in their suits. Here! -- the premium network aimed at gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender audiences -- has ramped up its original programming efforts with several series renewals. It also has recently greenlighted original movies in the wake of strengthened distribution.

The network approved more seasons of several original series, including second installments of The Lair and The DL Chronicles and a third season of Paradise Falls. In addition, Chad Allen will star as a private investigator in two fresh cases of its Donald Strachey Mystery movie franchise.

These pickups -- along with the recently announced series Ryan's Life, starring Rue McClanahan, and a third-season renewal of Dante's Cove -- mean that Here! will field more than 200 hours of original programming for the 2007-08 season, with five of its series entering a second or third season.

Meanwhile, the network has in the works a movie titled Solar Flare, the first of 12 eco-disaster films that will be released in theaters by sister company Regent a week before debuting on Here! The movie, starring Tracey Gold and Michelle Clunie, centers on a scientist (Gold) who works with a mother (Clunie) and her prodigy son, who has worked out a formula for predicting solar flares.

Also in the works is House of Usher, the second planned installment in a series of 12 movies based on Edgar Allan Poe tales following The Raven. It will premiere on Here! a week after making its debut in theaters.

"We have made a huge commitment to original programming with established stars," Here! Networks founder and CEO Paul Colichman said.
