Allison Williams has her dad's back.
The Girls star defended NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams after admitting that he misspoke about his time spent covering the war in Iraq in 2003 (before he landed his job behind the anchor desk in 2004).
Video: Why Brian Williams Should Replace Jon Stewart on The Daily Show
"It's been tough, though," Allison said during a Q&A with Seth Meyers at New York's 92Y. "Obviously, toughest on my dad, who bears the full burden of responsibility for it, but one thing the experience has not done is shake my trust and belief in him as a man."
Continuing to dote on her dad, she continued, "He's a really good man. He's an honest man. He's a truthful man. He has so much integrity. He cares so much about journalism. And yes, he's a really good dad. I know you can trust him because, as any good daughter does, I've tested...

I had high hopes for The Assets, I liked the idea of focusing the damage control necessary when a mole is leaking the identities of informants. Unfortunately, audiences weren’t so interested and it’s been pulled from the schedule.
Last night, TVLine got some red carpet scoop. James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher will be appearing as themselves, encountering Sheldon. Er, can Sheldon’s heart handle meeting those two legends? I’m suddenly worried they’re killing him off.
The BBC America original drama The Intruders has picked a familiar face for its lead. Life on Mars and Doctor Who alum John Simm will play a former cop thrown into a supernatural conspiracy.
Wg America’s 10-part 10 Commandments mini-series will each be made by a different director with a chapter each coming from Lee Daniels and Gus Van Sant.

This year’s MTV Movie Awards was an evening of highly anticipated reunions, sneak peeks, and of course, the hostess herself, Rebel Wilson. Rebel’s opening sequence with James Franco was great, but she really blew it out of the water when she was joined onstage by her Pitch Perfect co-stars for a live mashup performance of "Lose Yourself/Girl on Fire." Soon enough, when Rebel busted out the leather pants and nun chucks and the audience knew we were in for a hell of a show. Rebel’s opening monologue hit all the right notes, and aside from a few bits that landed a little flat later in the show, she proved to be an entertaining and capable host.
Like any awards show, viewers care about what truly matters: The clothes. Overall, the women were dressed to the nines, highlights being...

Might General Hospital lose its mob mentality? After 15 years as headwriter for the ABC sudser — during which time he squarely focused the show near-exclusively on crime boss Sonny Corinthos and cohorts — Robert Guza Jr. has left the building. Taking over the writing reins is Garin Wolf, effective immediately. Wolf has been a part of the Gh staff for some 15 years, and ABC Daytime President Brian Frons says that “his in-depth knowledge and adoration for the show’s legacy will help make a smooth transition and an immediate impact on store.”

G’day Zoners! I don’t know about you, but I am still stuck in a post Ben & Jerry’s brain freeze of joy. Only Stephen could make chocolate coated potato chips and salty caramel swirl sound tasty. But I digress. In this week’s Six Degrees round-up; “Earth (The Audio Book)” receives more award nominations, Kristen Schaal features in a new “The National’s” film clip, Jimmy Fallon appears at The Paley Center, Allison Silverman appears on “This American Life”, and Conan O’Brien, Jon Stewart and Lewis Black are to be featured in Comedy Central’s tribute to the late Greg Giraldo.

G’day Zoners, I hope your all gearing up for the Festive Season, and enjoying those last minute shopping trips. Here in sunny old Australia mother nature is enjoying Christmas so much she’s even brought snow. We havn’t gotten that much, certainly not as much as our friends in the North but it’s still weird to see snow in December. For the unlucky Nothern Zoners caught in the crazy cold weather, your in luck!! No, I don’t have salt, but I do have the latest round up of Six Degrees news.

This is a recap for the fourth episode of Season 4 of Mad Men starring Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, January Jones, and a slew of other talented actors, on an episode called “The Rejected.” And here if your For Your Consideration Recap: Best Mad Men Opening Shot Ever Whoo, y’all (fanning myself with comically oversized geisha fan), nudity on Mad Men? Is Jon Hamm going to get so drunk he accidentally forgets his pants at a Pond’s Cold Cream meeting? Or will this be like on NYPD Blue, when everyone stayed up late to see some primetime, network television nakedness, only to be slapped across the face with an image of Sipowicz‘s bare ass? We shall masturbate and see. Best Cancer Reveal Oh, look, Anna wrote!! Can someone make out this handwriting? I swear, I wish she’d stop writing her letters on Ms Paint. It’s disrespectful.
