When Castlevania: Nocturne announced Alucard’s return to the series, the fans of the franchise rejoiced in jubilance. Alucard, who was voiced by James Callis, has long been a fan-favorite character. If you count both shows as one, Netflix's "Castlevania" franchise has been running for six seasons and eight years, with "Castlevania: Nocturne" season 2 marking the latest entry in the stylish video game adaptation from Powerhouse Animation. And yet, in all that time, the shows have left the most beloved and critically acclaimed "Castlevania" game untouched. "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" completely reinvented the property when it dropped on the original PlayStation and Sega Saturn back in 1997. Castlevania reached great heights that made it far more than just a vampire series or video game adaptation and the end of its run after four seasons was met with disappointment. However, the announcement of a spin-off that’s immersed in the lore of Rondo of Blood had many excited for the Castlevania universe’s expansion. Unfortunately, Castlevania: Nocturne’s first season was decent, but forgettable. It was perfectly fine, which is not exactly the benchmark that one strives for with a spin-off to a series that was so subversive and passionate.

James Callis earned praise for his portrayal of Gaius Baltar in Battlestar Galactica, but Star Trek wasted him as an actor. Callis delivered one of the most compelling and multi-layered performances in science fiction history with Baltar. This deeply flawed yet endlessly fascinating character became a core pillar of Battlestar Galactica's success, energizing its narrative complexity and supercharging its emotional weight.

Callis’ work as Baltar proved his ability to thrive in the intricate moral and political landscapes often found in high-quality science fiction. As such, Star Trek fans had reason to be excited when Callis was announced as Maurice Picard, the estranged father of Jean-Luc Picard, in Star Trek: Picard. The long awaited fourth film is called Mad About The Boy, adapted from Fielding’s 2013 novel of the same name, and it’s now far away at all. As well as a returning Renee Zellweger, the cast also includes Isla Fisher, Josette Simon, Nico Parker and Leila Farzad.

Peacock has announced that the fourth installment in the Renée Zellweger film franchise will bypass theaters in the United States. Following an international theatrical release on Wednesday, Feb. 12, the sequel will land Stateside on Thursday, Feb. 13, where it will stream exclusively on Peacock.

Yep, you read that correctly, Darcy is no more and the trailer serves up the bad news straight away.

Still, the only way is up for our Bridget as she gets on with life, and the prospect of not one but two possible romances. There’s the hunky and age-appropriate Mr. Wallaker (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a teacher at Bridget’s children’s school and the wild card of Roxster (Leo Woodall), the youthful bit of rough that should be a red flag.

Apple’s first-look trailer for Season 5 of spy hit “Slow Horses,” which dropped on the streamer following Wednesday’s Season 4 finale, features a few eyebrow-raising developments, including River Cartwright (Jack Lowden) kissing a surprised Louisa Guy (Rosalind Eleazar).
