Season 12 of the horror anthology series American Horror Story, AHS: Delicate, will premiere on September 20, 2023, and season five of the award-winning drama Fargo will debut on November 21. FX’s just-announced fall lineup will also include the limited series A Murder at the End of the World, the Emmy-winning docuseries Welcome to Wrexham, and the documentary feature The New York Times Presents: How To Fix a Pageant.

FX unveiled a first look at “Fargo” Season 5 while revealing premiere dates for its fall slate of shows on FX and FX on Hulu.

The new season of “Fargo” premieres Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 10 p.m. Et/Pt on FX and takes place in Minnesota and North Dakota in 2019. Per the official synopsis, after an unexpected series of events lands Dorothy ‘Dot’ Lyon (Juno Temple) in hot water with the authorities, this seemingly typical Midwestern housewife is suddenly plunged back into a life she thought she had left behind.

Jon Hamm plays North Dakota Sheriff Roy Tillman, who has been searching for Dot for a long time and has his feckless son Gator (played by “Stranger Things” star Joe Keery) at his side. David Rysdahl plays Dot’s well-meaning husband, while Jennifer Jason Leigh fills the role of Dot’s disapproving mother-in-law, who runs the biggest debt collection agency in the country.

Originally scheduled to bow Aug. 29, the seven-episode murder-mystery series starring Clive Owen will now arrive at a date to be determined in November.

The decision comes as executives across the film and TV landscape have been mulling whether to release previously completed projects or hold them for later — and when stars can promote them — during the ongoing strikes between the Writers Guild and the performers union, SAG-AFTRA. The Disney-owned network has moved the series, which was created by Marling and Zal Batmanglij, from August 29 to November.

The move comes amidst a double strike from writers and actors and is thought to be one of the first, if not the first, high-profile TV series outside of the broadcast fall schedule to push back its premiere date as a result of the labor action.

Actors and writers are unable to do press and promotion during the strikes for struck companies, making it hard to generate buzz for a show, particularly one that is original and not based on existing IP.

The series will now make its Hulu-exclusive debut in November, though an exact date has not been set.

A time-traveler becomes fragmented in disastrous ways, and so too does the film itself, in “7 Splinters in Time,” edited to ribbons in a schizoid manner that likely only makes complete sense to its maker. Writer-director Gabriel Judet-Weinshel’s feature wears numerous influences on its sleeve, yet derivation isn’t the problem here; rather, it’s a scattershot structure that undercuts the cohesiveness (and effectiveness) of its story about a man haunted — and hunted — by doppelgangers. Gravitas Ventures has released their official trailer for an indie sci-fi film titled 7 Splinters in Time, a new feature made by Gabriel Judet-Weinshel (The Broken Wings of Elijah Footfalls). This very odd, peculiar sci-fi film is a neo-noir about a detective who investigates a murder, only to find that the victim is... himself. Soon, he discovers multiple versions of himself, not all of them friendly. How's that for a pitch? Alas, the film doesn't look as good as it sounds in that pitch. The cast includes Edoardo Ballerini as "Darius Lefaux", Emmanuelle Chriqui, Al Sapienza, and Austin Pendleton. I'm curious about this just because I'm always interested in original sci-fi projects, but I don't have a good feeling about it from the footage here. Check it out below.
