Sou Abadi was born in Iran. She was always interested in film and started working as an assistant editor, then an editor. Later she started making documentaries in France, then in Iran. She was trained in drama at the CEEA in Paris, France.
In 2018, for her feature film "Cherchez la femme" (Some like it veiled), Sou Abadi received from the Writers Guild of France (SACD), the Award of New Talent in Film.
