Dark Horse Comics has dropped Neil Gaiman, cancelling his Anansi Boys comic series, in the wake of sexual assault allegations brought against the author.

The publisher posted to X Friday night writing, “Dark Horse takes seriously the allegations against Neil Gaiman and we are no longer publishing his works. Confirming that the ‘Anansi Boys’ comic series and collected volume have been canceled.”

U.K.-based Tortoise Media spotlighted accounts from four women — two who came forward in early July 2024 and two more who told their stories at the end of the month — about their encounters with the Coraline and Sandman creator.

It Ends With Us should have been a success story. The long-awaited film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, a tale of cyclical domestic violence, premiered in August to decent reviews and wide audience interest; it grossed $350m, against a $25m budget, despite a tide of press and social media speculation over an alleged rift between its director, Justin Baldoni, and its star, Blake Lively. Most of the ire was trained on Lively – for glossing over the subject of domestic violence with florals, for simultaneously promoting her haircare and alcohol lines, for being gruff with reporters in the past, while Baldoni, who played the abuser in the film, championed abuse survivors. But the movie was a hit, demonstrating the viability of female-led, mid-budget melodramas at the box office.

The nine episode first season of the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025 – and during the Fan Expo San Francisco, series star Charlie Cox revealed that season 2 of the show is scheduled to begin filming sometime before the first season’s premiere date!

Although the initial plan was to rework some elements and make Daredevil: Born Again stand separate from the Netflix Daredevil series (despite sharing some cast members), the show underwent a creative overhaul when the writers and actors strikes shut down production in 2023. But so too is the original show's central villain: the all-powerful Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, who's back with a vengeance and once again played by Vincent D'Onofrio.

The original Daredevil series ran for three seasons on Netflix. Garnering a dedicated audience, the show is regarded as one of the greatest Marvel projects of all time. Unlike a lot of what produced by Marvel Studios, the show was brutal, gruesome, and gritty, showing fans a side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe rarely explored onscreen. However, the show was sadly axed after Disney decided it didn't want any Marvel series debuting new episode anywhere other than on its own proprietary platforms.

It had also generated nearly 9,000 comments, most of which celebrated the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher.

When Wilson Fisk says, “Well, I will admit it’s not entirely unpleasant seeing you again,” he’s echoing the feelings of Daredevil fans.

Neil Gaiman, celebrated author of literary works such as The Sandman, Coraline, and Good Omens, has become the center of a severe controversy that has reignited discussions surrounding the #MeToo Movement in the literary world, expanding its reach beyond Hollywood and into the UK writing scene.

Reports indicate that Gaiman, who was accused of sexual misconduct last year, is now facing additional allegations directly from the victims. Gaiman’s wife, Amanda Palmer, a singer from The Dresden Dolls and an outspoken advocate against sexual violence, has also been accused of facilitating her husband’s alleged actions. In the latest details surrounding Gaiman, two women implicated Palmer in Gaiman’s misconduct, raising questions about the extent of her involvement.

An investigative report by New York Magazine connected the allegations not only to the previously known victims but also introduced accounts from four additional women.

With so many conflicting reports and rumors relating to Spider-Man 4 doing the rounds over the past few weeks, it's difficult to get a read on exactly what's going on with the project, but several different sources have claimed that - for whatever reason - the story still hasn't come together.

The script is believed to be undergoing a major overhaul, possibly due to differences of opinion between star Tom Holland and Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige, and last we heard, the movie was still a long way from starting production because there isn’t a finalized shooting draft yet.

Scooper Daniel Richtman has now shared an update, and he believes that the script is still being worked on. He also claims that the most recent version of the story - prior to the rewrites - included two classic Spidey villains in Shocker and Scorpion.

Ronan Farrow has struck a multi-project deal with Audible, starting with a new podcast.

The podcast, Not a Very Good Murderer, will launch March 20, 2025. The show is based on years of reporting and follows Farrow as he tries to vet a political lead and instead finds himself involved in a series of cold cases in one of the country’s wealthiest gated communities.

“I’m really looking forward to telling stories through this relationship. We need companies that are willing to platform investigative journalism—and, more broadly, companies willing to put nuanced, complicated, original stories into the world. That starts with Not a Very Good Murderer, which defies neat categorization and I think people will find surprising in a lot of ways,” Farrow said.

Farrow was previously the host of The Catch and Kill podcast, based on his book which followed the sexual assault claims against notable figures including Harvey Weinstein and Matt Lauer.
