If you were waiting for The Crow film series reboot, then the wait is finally over. The Crow is a gothic action horror superhero film directed by Alex Proyas from a screenplay co-written by David J. Schow and John Shirley.

Thirty years ago today, on September 21, 1993, at 10/9c, NYPD Blue premiered on ABC.

However, its debut didn't necessarily mean it reached every household.

The controversial series premiered to apocalyptic fanfare, with critics wondering if the series would usher in the end of TV as viewers knew it.

It’s funny the things you remember from your youth. I was at the age where the idea of a series willing to push the envelope, delivering a taste of the big screen on the small, sounded like an excellent idea.

They say that all publicity is good publicity, but people around the country were so concerned about the effect the show may have on the morals of the everyman that 57 local stations around the country refused to air the premiere.

A month later, there were still 45 ABC affiliates who, due to the possibility of coarse language and nudity, were still not airing it.

Days of Our Lives is no stranger to hiring prominent name actors.

Sometimes people make a name for themselves on the soap before hitting the big time, such as when Days of Our Lives alum Charlotte Ross joined the cast of NYPD Blue. Other times, Days of Our Lives hires well-known actors such as Marla Gibbs as recurring characters.

And now, Days of Our Lives has scored its biggest guest appearance yet -- Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke!

At 97, Van Dyke is one of Hollywood's oldest and best-known actors. Whether you know him as the ottoman-tripping Rob Petrie from the 1950s Dick Van Dyke show, movies such as Mary Poppins, or his long-running cozy mystery series Diagnosis: Murder, you're sure to have seen him Somewhere.

He shows no signs of slowing down, having recently appeared on The Masked Singer. And now he can add a soap opera appearance to his lengthy resume.

Charlotte Ross rose to fame thanks to her role on Days of Our Lives. From 1987 to 1991, Ross portrayed Eve Donovan on the soap opera. While Ross has gone on to achieve success in primetime, she could be returning to her soap opera roots.

Award-winning music icon Tanya Tucker is joining forces with the Animal Legal Defense Fund to urge families to avoid roadside zoos. After a recent visit to Special Memories Zoo in Greenville, Wisconsin, Tucker was so disturbed by the conditions and health of the animals she felt compelled to stand up and advocate on their behalf.

Tucker published a powerful open letter detailing the serious mistreatment of animals she witnessed at the Special Memories roadside zoo, which has been cited by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (Usda) multiple times for Animal Welfare Act violations, including animals housed in filthy enclosures, lack of drinking water and food contaminated with rodent droppings.

“The animals at the Special Memories Zoo can’t speak for themselves — we are grateful to Tanya Tucker for speaking for them,” says Animal Legal Defense Fund Executive Director Stephen Wells. “The cruel conditions in which the animals live at Special Memories Zoo is illegal.

Eve Donovan is a major troublemaker in Salem.

Not even the death of her beloved daughter Paige changed her for long. After losing Brady Black to her own lies and manipulations in 2019, Eve again became bitter, resentful of Jennifer Horton, and hellbent on revenge.

But Eve wasn't always this way. She was once a troubled teenager who just wanted a stable, loving home, preferably with her father.

One of ABC’s signature dramas is staging a comeback. ABC has given a pilot production commitment to NYPD Blue, a new iteration of the iconic cop drama that will revolve around the son of Dennis Franz’s Detective Andy Sipowicz character from the original series. The reboot hails from NYPD Blue alums Matt Olmstead, Nick Wootton and Jesse Bochco. The pilot, a co-production between 20th Century Fox TV, which was behind the original series, and ABC Studios, is already casting its four main roles of NYPD cops, led by Theo.

Unfortunately for all Andy Sipowitz fans, in the sequel his character is dead. The return of NYPD Blue follows his son, Theo, as he tries to earn his detective shield and work in the 15th squad while investigating his father’s murder. Theo seems to have taken after his father as he too is a hard-drinking, hard-headed and quick-witted cop.

The event will feature a silent auction, a delicious plant based dinner, drinks, music and activities as guests learn about the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s recent legal victories, latest lawsuits, and legislative initiatives to end the suffering of animals. Heroes and Villains Fan Fest is put on by the same group that puts on Walker Stalker shows across various Us Cities. Arrow recently said goodbye to original cast member Katie Cassidy, who played Laurel Lance/Black Canary and was killed off in last week's episode. The CW has released the first official images from next week’s episode of Arrow, and they’re very intriguing indeed. While The Flash villain Bug-Eyed Bandit hitting Star City is a pretty big deal, these stills also give us a look at a character named “Exoskeleton.” He or she doesn’t hail from the source material, so what they’re up to here remains to be seen.

The CW has released the official descriptions for two more of this month’s episodes of Arrow and The Flash, and they both feature the return of some familiar faces.

A foe of Barry Allen’s will be making their presence felt in Star City, while the Scarlet Speedster will come face to face with two members of the Thawne family when he travels back in time.
