A couple months ago, Billy Corgan told Howie Mandel that comedian Bill Burr could very well be his half-brother. With Burr as the latest guest on his podcast, Mandel surprised the funnyman with a visit from the Smashing Pumpkins frontman — leading to a meeting of the two Bills.

On the November episode, Mandel’s production team erroneously put up a photo of Burr during Corgan’s turn on the podcast, leading the alt-rock legend to disclose that he may be related to his celebrity look-alike.

“Most of my friends don’t even know this story,” began Corgan. “About 10 years ago, one of my brothers was having a birthday party, and my stepmother was there, who was obviously married to my father. And my stepmother said to me, ‘Do you know who Bill Burr is?’ Now at that point, I had never heard of Bill Burr; I didn’t know who he was.

Heidi Klum is booked and busy, which has America’s Got Talent fans worried she’s leaving the show.

The NBC show has a hit formula with Heidi, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Sofía Vergara as judges.

AGT has become a summer staple on NBC, and Heidi has been a big part of it for over 10 years.

That’s how host Jerry O’Connell kicked off the final episode Friday of The Talk, which is signing off at 2,993 episodes and 15 seasons on CBS. After receiving raucous applause from the studio audience — a handful of whom have been attending the Studio City, CA. taping of the daytime talk show since day one — host Amanda Kloots choked up as she reflected on how important it’s been to listen to one other and “really appreciate each other opinions.”

“That’s what we got to do everyday,” Kloots said through tears. “It’s about talking, not fighting, and being apart of each other’s family.”

For host Sheryl Underwood, her 14 seasons on the show has been about “fashion evolution.” “You’ve seen things happening for me,” said Underwood, who later admitted off-camera that she never really learned to walk in heels.

“The Talk” executive producer Rob Crabbe is getting a little too familiar with TV goodbyes. A year and a half after his previous talker, “The Late Late Show With James Corden,” signed off, he’s now doing the same thing on Friday with “The Talk.”

It’s a different kind of show, and therefore a different kind of goodbye. But still, there are similarities to the sign-off. “The emotional undercurrent of what the shows were trying to accomplish is the same,” Crabbe told Variety. “You’re trying to express joyfulness. The Motion Picture Television Fund telethon Lights, Camera, Take Action! returns for its third edition Sunday, airing live in Los Angeles on Ktla-Channel 5 from 7-9 p.m. Pt.

Yvette Nicole Brown and Tom Bergeron return to co-host the event, overseeing an evening of stories, songs and celebrity appearances to help raise funds for Hollywood crew workers in need. Also returning this year are producers Phil Rosenthal (Somebody Feed Phil) and writer-critic-producer David Wild.

The MPTF telethon’s first year raised more than $850,000 and scored an L.A. Area Emmy nomination. Last year, the show raised $750,000 at a time when workers were impacted by the summer-long WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Organizers have set a $750,000 goal for tonight’s event, which will feature Ktla’s Dayna Devon as host of the live Celebrity Lounge, and Tiffany Smith hosting the tote board.

America's Got Talent comedian and semi-finalist Kabir Singh has died.

Kabir was a standout contestant during Season 16 in 2021, and had also made a name for himself in the stand-up genre — although it appeared the comic was just getting started, and had a bright future ahead of him.

The two are back on board to host and produce MPTF’s fundraising telethon as it returns for a third straight year to help Hollywood crew members in need of assistance. The two-hour telecast — set to air live on Ktla in Los Angeles from 7-9 p.m. on Dec. 8 — will feature stories, songs and celebrity guests in a quest to raise emergency funds for entertainment workers.

The inaugural telecast garnered more than $850,000, while last year’s raised more than $750,000. The MPTF team has set a goal of $750,000 for the December outing.

Ever the storyteller, Smashing Pumpkins singer/guitarist Billy Corgan recently explained why he and comedian Bill Burr could have more in common than their passing resemblance and shared first name. During a recent appearance on Howie Mandel’s Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, Corgan revealed that there’s a chance they could be half-brothers.

“America’s Got Talent” fans are in a state of mourning as one of their favorite non-human contestants, Mr. Piffles, is dead at age 16. The beloved pooch served as the assistant to Piff the Magic Dragon for more than a decade. Mr. Piffles went to doggy heaven on Nov. 13, 2024.

NBC announced today that the premiere date for “Deal or No Deal Island” Season 2 will be on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. Et/Pt. The premiere will air as a special two-hour event. An impressive group of Hollywood stars will be in a new animated movie about a unique hybrid bird. The voice cast for “Pierre the Pigeon-Hawk” includes actors Jason Isaacs, Jimmi Simpson, and comedian Russell Peters.

Will. i.am will voice the lead character, Pierre, a pigeon-hawk who learns to accept his differences. The movie explores ideas of belonging and variety through Pierre’s journey of self-discovery. The main group also includes Snoop Dogg and Whoopi Goldberg.

Big Brother fans can watch former houseguests on a range of shows this winter, giving everyone replacement shows for Reindeer Games.

As previously reported by Monsters and Critics, Big Brother: Reindeer Games 2024 was canceled. The show could return in 2025 but has been shelved for now.

Reindeer Games debuted in 2023 and featured 12 former houseguests. Nine former players competed for a nice cash prize; three were co-hosts.

Unfortunately, a new season of The Amazing Race (debuting in 2025) lacks Big Brother alums.

Many teams of Big Brother houseguests have competed in seasons of The Amazing Race, and two couples have won. Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson from BB19 won The Amazing Race 30; Claire Rehfuss and Derek Xiao from BB23 won The Amazing Race 34.

Big Brother 27 casting has also begun, so fans who want to compete can apply for the Summer 2025 season.

Really wanting to see what all the bigger kids are seeing but also being scared of what you just saw. It’s a magical time to be alive… and now is a great time to run down the best kid’s films for Halloween. These are guaranteed to frighten your little ones but not leave you unable to sleep after they crawl into your bed at night.

W​hile this film was a mainstay of my childhood, if you look at it today, some of the language hasn’t aged very well. I still love this film, as I can look past its flaws and remember the absolute glee I would get watching it over and over again.
