The Palisades Charter High School, which has become recognizable to millions as a location where multiple movies and television series have been filmed inside its halls and exterior, is seeking a temporary campus after 40 percent of the property was scorched in the ongoing Palisades Fire.
Faculty and students are barred from entering the campus, according to an announcement from the school indicating that a decent portion of the school remains viable after the largest fire in Los Angeles history tore through the campus. Principal Dr. Pam McGee wrote that the charter schools’ classroom buildings and gyms were in good shape and its gyms, baseball field, stadium and aquatic center are all viable.
The fires that are still burning in the area have led to the start of the semester being delayed until Jan. 21, when the school plans to offer online instruction when classes resume next week. The Palisades Fire was...

Soap opera recasts are a dicey proposition. Soap fans are loyal to a fault and it’s hard to predict who they will accept and who they reject as recast characters. Everyone has an opinion, and there is no right or wrong here, just personal preference based on a myriad of factors.
With that in mind, let’s take a look back at some of the biggest daytime recasts of 2024, in no particular order, and give you the opportunity to share your opinion on these changes!
Rebecca Budig As Taylor Hayes, The Bold And The Beautiful
Our first glimpse of NuTaylor was a shot of her back, as she watched Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) canoodle in Monte Carlo.
On B&b All My Children alum Rebecca Budig has recreated the role of Taylor Hayes. Most of the early criticism centered on her age, with fans...

Recasts on daytime soap operas are tricky. They make this medium challenging and unpredictable, but they are also inevitable. Will the audience accept or reject them? There’s an art to the recast, and in 2024, General Hospital, Days of Our Lives, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless mostly did a good job living up to the hype and then some. However, there were characters we expected to get recast but didn’t. So, here are the 7 biggest soap recasts of the year and four characters that should have been recast but weren’t. Maybe in 2025?
7 Biggest Soap Recasts #1 Alexa Havins as Lulu Spencer, Gh
Gh appears on this list way more than any other soap. In 2024, the show rolled the recast dice a few times, and for the most part, it paid off. However, Alexis Havins had one of the toughest jobs. Julie Berman and...

Not many artists can claim they have been performing in Las Vegas for 50 years. With the opening of her latest residency at the Resorts World Theatre on Monday, Janet Jackson celebrated her golden anniversary on the Strip — she first took the stage alongside the entire family, including her brothers, The Jackson 5, in 1974 at the MGM. Mother Katherine Jackson and Tyler Perry were in the sold-out crowd for opening night.
“Janet Jackson: Las Vegas” is the follow-up to 2019’s “Metamorphosis” at Park MGM and closely follows the playbook of her 2023-24 “Together Again” tour, with night one carrying some major surprises with both live debuts and songs not performed live in many years. While some artists stack their Vegas residencies with the greatest hits, Jackson’s setlist is more like an encyclopedia of her career — two hours, 43 songs, iconic choreography and a recall of many of the fashion moments that made her a pop culture icon.

Days of Our Lives’s (Dool) star, Eric Martsolf, who plays Brady Black on the show, recently participated in a Soap Opera Digest (Sod) weekly column that asks daytime drama stars a question and then reveals their answers.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Eric Martsolf’s Wife Is A Gh Fan
This week’s query for Sod’s actor’s roundup was, “What Is A Name You Loved, But Didn’t Use For Your Children”?
Martsolf answers by stating, “Jagger”. He goes on to tell the online mag that his wife had a fondness for General Hospital’s (Gh) Jagger Cates character when Antonio Sabato Jr. played the role, which was recently recast by Adam J. Harrington, until the character’s demise.

Ayrton Senna will be brought to the screen in Netflix’s miniseries Senna, played by Gabriel Leone. The actor earlier played the role of racing driver Alfonso de Portago in Michael Mann’s Ferrari. The film follows the life of Senna from the beginning of his career to the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.

Senna met a tragic end during the San Marino Grand Prix in Italy in 1994 when his car collided with a concrete wall at high speed. The crash occurred when he was leading in the seventh lap. Is every little detail about Dancing with the Stars totally organic? Season 19 contestant Antonio Sabato Jr. doesn’t think so. The actor and model once competed on the show back in 2014. When he recently reflected on that time, he didn’t have the nicest things to say. These are the details of Antonio‘s personal experience performing on the hit reality TV show.
Antonio Sabàto Jr. Doesn’t Remember DWTS Fondly
Antonio sat down with another former Dancing With the Stars contestant, Cheryl Burke. He joined her on her podcast, Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans to chat it up. At one point, he told Cheryl, “To be honest, I think that that the show is partly rigged in a sense. Yeah, it is rigged.” He went on to say:
“First of all, if you’re not a dancer or you don’t have dancing skills from a young age, you’re not going to win.

DC loves spotlighting its villains, and THR reports that another villain-centric project is in the works. The outlet has heard that DC Studios is developing a movie that will unite Bane and Deathstroke. Matthew Orton, who worked on Captain America: Brave New World, has penned the script but no director is attached to the project.
DC has always excelled at highlighting villains, with the recently released Penguin series starring Colin Farrell as an example. We’ve also got Joker: Folie à Deux coming next week. I’ll confess that I’m not a big comic-book guy, so Deathstroke and Bane seem like a random pairing, but I’m sure the more comic-literate among you will be able to set me right. Maybe they’re good buds.

Joe Giudice famously went to prison in 2016 for bankruptcy fraud and other money crimes. Along with his then-wife, Teresa, he pled guilty to the crimes in 2014. However, they came to an agreement with officials that she would serve her term first so one parent could stay with their four daughters.
Immediately after his 2019 release, he was deported from the U.S. to his native Italy. While he had lived his entire life in the United States, he was actually born in Italy. After failing to find a way back to the States, he moved to...

In the latest episodes of General Hospital, tensions are escalating with Sonny Corinthos, played by Maurice Benard, seemingly on the brink of a breakdown. Ava Jerome, portrayed by Maura West, is plotting against Sonny. And she is bringing him closer to the edge by manipulating his medication.
The conflict between Sonny and Ava stems from a custody battle over their daughter Avery Jerome-Corinthos. Sonny’s threats and reckless behavior are causing concern among his loved ones on General Hospital. And this includes Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
Meanwhile, Ava may use this situation to her advantage. And it may potentially push Sonny to act out violently. The situation is further complicated by the involvement of Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and FBI agent John Jagger Cates (Antonio Sabato Jr).
As Sonny’s mental health deteriorates, he may pose a threat to those close to him and even himself.

General Hospital (Gh) spoilers tease that Morgan Corinthos, last played by actor Bryan Craig, could be on the cusp of a return.
Sure, he “died” in 2018, but no one is ever truly dead in the land of soaps, right? Executive Producer Frank Valentini hinted toward a “male character” returning, during an interview at the Daytime Emmys.
This sent fans buzzing with speculation, and Bryan Craig has since been offering major hints on social media.
Assuming Morgan returns in a non-ghostly role, how will he make his way back into storylines?
General Hospital Spoilers – John “Jagger” Cates – Is He A Good Guy Or A Bad Guy?
Gh spoilers suggest that some fans are still on the fence about John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington). The FBI agent used to be a “hero” (when played by Antonio Sabato Jr.).

John “Jagger” Cates is back in Port Charles.
No one knew who he was when Carly (Laura Wright) bumped into the man who introduced himself only as John, telling her he used to work at Kelly’s.
However, pieces start to fall into place after hearing him talk about his son, who is on the spectrum to Olivia (Lisa LoCicero).
Jagger (formerly played by Antonio Sabato Jr.) was last seen on General Hospital in the mid-90s but was mentioned on the spin-off Port Charles when his wife, Karen Wexler, returned to town without him. They divorced, and she was killed off in 2003, leaving Jagger to raise his alone.
In 2008, Jagger popped up on the spin-off Gh: Night Shift. It was then revealed he was the head of the FBI. Robin (Kimberly McCullough) worked with Jagger’s son after suspecting he was on the spectrum. After that, he returned to the West Coast.

For Robert Rabiah, Queensland’s Mission Beach is more than just the location where he is filming fish-out-of-water drama Irreverent – it’s also where he began his career.
The actor’s first professional job was appearing alongside Craig McLachlan, Nadine Garner, and Antonio Sabato Jr. in George Miller’s action/adventure mini-series Tribe, which was also based in the coastal town.

Antonio Sabato Jr and Robert Rabiah.
Antonio Sabato Jr. was one of the few American actors who supported Donald Trump in the 2016 election and soon found he was virtually blacklisted in Hollywood.
His agents and manager deserted him and work dried up so after a 30-year-career he decided to move to Florida and get a job in construction.
Now he plans a comeback, producing, co-writing, directing and starring in Trail Blazers, a Western about a band of brothers who were once outlaws and decide to turn their back on their old ways to fulfill their father’s dying wish.
Safe Harbour and Secret City star Robert Rabiah, who has been a mate of Sabato since they worked in Crawford Productions’ Queensland-shot series Tribe in 1999, will play Gabriel, his younger brother.
The brothers take refuge near a small town in Utah and quickly lock horns with the local Sheriff and his deputies.

President Donald Trump travels to Los Angeles on Tuesday for a high-dollar fundraising event, but don’t expect a huge turnout among Hollywood celebrities.
The event, with real estate developer Geoff Palmer expected to host, already generated plenty of attention, first because Trump’s visit is taking place during Emmy week, but then because of actress Debra Messing’s call for The Hollywood Reporter to publish a list of industry figures who are attending. “The public has a right to know,” she argues. Trump later claimed that she was trying to create a “blacklist” of his supporters.
But even before the Trump-Messing Twitter tiff, the president’s previous fund-raising swings through Southern California weren’t drawing big numbers of showbiz backers.
While he does have a number of industry figures who support him including Jon Voight and Antonio Sabato Jr., others are reticent to go public with their support because...

DC’s Deathstroke is getting a new animated series on CW Seed.

The announcement arrived during the CW's upfront presentation in May, where, amongst a treasure trove of CW/DC news, network president Mark Pedowitz revealed the existence of the CW Seed-bound Deathstroke animated series. A streaming platform, CW Seed launched back in 2014, designed as a complementary platform to its Warner-based network cousin.
