HBO’s The White Lotus is all set to return in February 2025. The popular show known for masterfully blending comedy and thriller genres has won the hearts of many fans. As such, the news of its return has brought pleasure to many. Another thing it has brought, though, is speculations about what the new season would delve into.

The Silo Season 2 finale finally explained the secret behind the show's longstanding Safeguard mystery.

Thus far in the show's second season, fans have followed Rebecca Ferguson's Juliette as she ventured forth from her dystopian underground city (Silo 18), finding that her community was not the only one scattered across the series' post-apocalyptic landscape. 

This led the sci-fi heroine into another underground dwelling (known as Silo 17). As she navigated this new Silo, with her new compatriot Solo (played by Steve Zahn), she discovers some secrets that could potentially be a game changer for the uprising happening back at home.

Four more stars have joined the cast of the upcoming Anaconda reboot movie!

Back in August 2024, it was revealed that a comedic re-imagining of the 1997 horror movie was in the works from Columbia Pictures with Tom Gormican directing and collaborating on the script.

Now on Friday (January 17), it was announced that Thandiwe Newton and Steve Zahn have signed on to star in the new movie.

“Silo” Season 3 is already building out its cast.

Variety has learned that both Jessica Henwick and Ashley Zukerman are set to appear as series regulars in the upcoming third season of the Apple TV+ post-apocalyptic drama based on Hugh Howey’s “Wool” novel trilogy.

Zukerman will play Daniel, described as a “young and hungry congressman,” while Henwick will play Helen, said to be a “whip-smart reporter.” Both actors recently appeared in the Season 2 finale and will continue in the same roles in Season 3.

The casting news comes roughly one month after Apple renewed the show for both Seasons 3 and 4, with Season 4 set to be the final season.

Henwick’s previous TV credits include “Game of Thrones,” “Iron Fist,” and “Silk,” while she has also been in films like “Glass Onion,” “The Matrix Resurrections,” and “The Royal Hotel.” She is repped by CAA, imPRint, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

Silo season 2"s "The Safeguard" episode reveals interesting details surrounding Solo, including what really happened to the two corpses still outside Silo 17's vault. The dead people were first seen in Silo season 2, episode 3, when Juliette managed to get more information out of Solo about what happened to his silo and its citizens. Steve Zahn's Silo character didn't seem aggressive, but based on his behavior in not wanting to leave the vault, it was implied that he was likely the one who killed the two people.

The episode also showed that the others wrote "we will get in sooner or later" on the wall prior to their deaths, hinting that Juliette was likely in danger while inside Silo 17. However, in order to get back to her own silo, Juliette has needed Solo's help in acquiring gear for a replacement suit.

Since then, Juliette and Solo have explored the cavernous, seemingly empty confines of Silo 17, as fans have learned more about the rebellion that led to Zahn's character supposedly being its lone survivor.

"The Book of Quinn" is the eighth out of 10 episodes for the season, and as such it spends a fair amount of time setting up the endgame. It's great as usual, but this episode does feel a little bit more like it's treading water as it moves pieces into place for the big finish.

But hey, every show needs a breather, and it's a credit to Silo that even when it's taking one, it's got enough going on to keep minds bending and butts on the edge of seats.
