Pam Grier is universally recognized as the first female action movie hero. Grier is a trailblazer and an icon. It’s no wonder Quentin Tarantino wanted to feature her as the titular character in his 1997 exploitation throwback Jackie Brown.
Jackie Brown is an iconic effort and peak Tarantino. Though it was somewhat underrated upon release, I think people are coming to recognize just how effective it really is.
In addition to directing, Tarantino also wrote the script for the film. He adapted the screenplay for Jackie Brown from the novel Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard. Rum Punch is far from the only one of Leonard’s novels adapted for the screen. Celebrated director Steven Soderbergh previously adapted his novel Out of Sight with George Clooney and Jennifer Lopez playing the lead roles.
In addition to Grier, Jackie Brown stars Robert Forster, Samuel L. Jackson, Bridget Fonda, Michael Keaton, and Robert De Niro.

Burt Reynolds achieved feature-film stardom and a large measure of credibility with his powerful dramatic performance in the 1972 thriller film Deliverance. Reynolds’ charm and sex appeal were effectively showcased throughout the rest of the decade in films like Hooper, The Longest Yard, Smokey and the Bandit, and Starting Over, which pleased audiences and critics alike while establishing Reynolds as an immensely likable star who was equally adept at action and comedy.
However, in the early 1980s, the good-old-boy image that led Reynolds to be voted Hollywood’s top box-office draw for a record five consecutive years between 1978 and 1982 reached a point of diminishing returns. His unsuccessful pairing with Clint Eastwood in the 1984 action film City Heat marked a precipice in his career from which he never regained his former star power. In the late 1980s, Reynolds made an ignominious return to television, where his career began in the early 1960s.

Former Zorro Antonio Banderas trades swords and swashbuckling for grit and guns in one of his most underrated action thrillers, which is now streaming free. Released back in 2017, Acts of Vengeance evokes the best kind of action B-movie in this tale of a lawyer who never shuts up, vowing silence and revenge after his family is murdered.
Directed by Isaac Florentine, who has demonstrated his affinity for the genre before with frequent collaborations with action icon Scott Adkins in the likes of Ninja: Shadow of a Tear, Undisputed II: Last Man Standing, and Close Range, Acts of Vengeancestars The Boys’ Karl Urban alongside Banderas. The action outing, which proved divisive at the time, is well worth a second shot, and is available to stream free now on Tubi. You can check out the official synopsis for the revenge flick below.

Quentin Tarantino followed his one pattern from Pulp Fiction in his 1997 film Jackie Brown and it was to cast a fallen actor in the lead role. While he picked John Travolta in the former film, it was Pam Grier’s turn in Jackie Brown. At that point, she didn’t have a major role since doing the Blaxploitation films in the ’70s like Foxy Brown and Coffy.
Grier delivered a once-in-a-lifetime performance as the lead character in the film. She outperformed every single one of her co-stars and that’s telling because her co-stars were the late Robert Forster, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert De Niro, Bridget Fonda, and Michael Keaton.

Sadly, this performance was overlooked by the Academy at the 70th Oscars in 1998. Grier was a fan-favorite to win the Best Actress Award which made her snub from the nominations infuriating for movie-goers.

Quick Links'London Has Fallen' Pits Critics Against AudiencesThe President Even Gets in on the Action in 'London Has Fallen'
Without question, the Has Fallen movie trilogy written by Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt is one Hollywood franchise that should be analyzed and studied. Starring Gerard Butler as Secret Service agent Mike Banning and Morgan Freeman (in various roles), each of the three movies barely passed their budget in North American box office totals and didn’t receive the best praise from critics. Albeit, the first and third films — 2013’s Olympus Has Fallen and 2019’s Angel Has Fallen — actually lead when it comes to the two aforementioned categories. On the other hand, 2016’s London Has Fallen, which sees Banning escort president Benjamin Asher out of the vice of Islamic terrorists, seems to have taken an even greater misstep.

Since the Golden Age of Hollywood, gangsters have dominated the crime genre, with films like The Untouchables and Scarface exploring the lives of notorious mob bosses and drug kingpins. For some, these films represent the pinnacle of genres like thriller, crime, and drama, typically thanks to the great alignment of cast, writer, and director. Despite their violent nature, these films appeal to people of all stripes, often reinventing cinema altogether through their success.
Gangster movies vary in scale, with modern classics like Sexy Beast and A History of Violence making great use of relatively small casts. Other movies have reeled in audiences through their assembly of some of the biggest and most talented stars of their era, often turning in career-best performances. Through these movies, fans have been shown the inner workings of some of America's most dangerous criminal organizations -- even if they play fast and loose with the facts.

Apple is one of the most successful companies on the planet. They're doing fine, and certainly don't need any help from us. But since it has never released any subscriber numbers for its streaming service, Apple TV+, and since that service's shows frequently rank very low on analyses of what people are watching, it seems like a lot of potential audiences simply are not aware that there's a treasure trove of original TV shows just waiting to be consumed.
If you're a science fiction fan, you're really in for a good time, because for years, the decision-makers over at Apple TV+ have been consistently greenlighting banger after banger of shows in that genre. Brain-melting thrillers, post-apocalyptic survival stories, family friendly anthologies, high-concept dramas -- Apple TV+ has just about every type of sci-fi flavor you could ask for, and they're often led by A-list actors and supported with lavish budgets.

The Wolf of Snow Hollow, one of modern horror's most underappreciated movies, will land on Tubi next February. Considering Leigh Whannell's newest adaptation of the horror subgenre, Wolf Man, wasn’t exactly as acclaimed as everyone hoped, we still have to rely on the werewolf movies that can make an impact. Jim Cummings' The Wolf of Snow Hollow is one of them.
The Wolf of Snow Hollow can be streamed for free on the platform with one of the finest collections in today's streaming landscape. Other horror titles that have also recently joined the free service include two Stephen King movies (Misery and The Boogeyman), and both the 1979 and 2005 versions of The Amityville Horror. In terms of other genres, you will also be able to stream 1984's The Terminator, the legacy sequel Bill & Ted Face The Music, and dramas like Monster's Ball and Selena.

As the Hollywood royal turns 80, we remember her greatest film roles that include an acting masterclass in Full Circle and a heartbreaking turn in The Purple Rose of Cairo
Like many a Hollywood star, Farrow took part in a 1970s disaster movie. In this Roger Corman production she’s in a love triangle with Rock Hudson, whose ski resort lies under an avalanche-prone mountain, and environmentalist Robert Forster, whose warnings are ignored. What happens next won’t surprise you.

The Delta Force and Delta Force 2, starring Chuck Norris, are getting fresh UK Blu-ray releases. You can read more on them here.
The era of straight to video action films hasn’t been entirely replicated by the streaming world, and the era of modestly-costed action films going to cinema? Well, most of them don’t see the inside of a multiplex.
In the case of The Delta Force, the first film made it to cinemas, but the second went straight to video in the UK. Still, it’s a pair of Chuck Norris headlined action pictures that weren’t short of fans.
The first one, from director Menahem Golan and his once-prominent Cannon empire, also had Lee Marvin, Robert Forster, Robert Vaughn and Shelley Winters in its ensemble. The first sequel, Delta Force 2: The Columbian Connection only carried across Chuck Norris from that cast list, with Aaron Norris stepping behind the camera.

Legend has it that instead of a chin beneath Chuck Norris' beard, he's hiding a third foot waiting to hit you with a surprise roundhouse kick. Some of his older films prove that one false, but it might be true that when Norris does a push-up, it's the Earth that moves, not him. Who's to say, really? The point is that Norris went from real martial artist to actor, dominating big screens through the 1980s and the small screen throughout the '90s. Love him or hate him, he's an American original.
He might not have gotten films with the kind of big budgets afforded his peers, and he might not be on too many lists of best action stars, but his movies deliver exactly what they set out to -- Norris smacking the living daylights out of bad dudes. Quick Links The Underwhelming Plot of 'Firewall' Harrison Ford's Average Performance in 'Firewall' What the Critics Had to Say About 'Firewall'
Hollywood legend Harrison Ford has been in the acting game for nearly six decades, with his first appearance dating all the way back to 1966. Throughout the years of his impressive and all-encompassing career, he has starred in numerous iconic film franchises, including Indiana Jones and Star Wars. He has also amassed quite a collection of awards, boasting everything from a People's Choice Award to a Golden Globe. Surprisingly, Ford has not yet won an Oscar, although he was nominated for his role as John Book in Witness. While many of Ford's roles can certainly be deemed Oscar-worthy, the following film is not one of them.

During the Christmas season of 1997—still hot from Pulp Fiction and a media blitzkrieg that might make a Kardashian blush—Quentin Tarantino dropped the hipster video-clerk attitude and made a “late” movie way ahead of his years. Tarantino was only 34 when Jackie Brown was released, and yet this is a film that’s quite persuasively about the pain and mixed blessings of aging. Correspondingly, Tarantino slowed down his approach to filmmaking, prioritizing lived-in textures over the shock and awe that marks the violence of his earlier work.
The difference in sensibility between Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown can be encapsulated by two respective scenes in cars. In the former, a young man getting his head accidentally splattered against a rear window is treated by Tarantino as comedy. And it is funny, as another display of Tarantino’s brash insistence that moral posturing isn’t a concern of his. Like an...

Of all the shows like "Justified" that are worth watching, "Karen Sisco" is the only one that deserves credit for launching the franchise. Granted, it did so unintentionally and happened years before FX's crime drama about Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) came to fruition. However, "Karen Sisco" has canonical connections to "Justified," and it's unfortunate that the series is largely forgotten due to it being one of many great shows that were canceled after one season.
Based on the Elmore Leonard character of the same name, "Karen Sisco" sees Carla Gugino play the eponymous U.S. Marshal as she solves crimes in Miami, Florida, while simultaneously trying to earn the respect of her peers and navigating a dating world full of men who can never guess her real job. “My heart is broken. My Buddy Dave…” began Mulholland Drive star Naomi Watts on Instagram about the death of that movie’s filmmaker David Lynch.
“The world will not be the same without him. His creative mentorship was truly powerful,” she wrote.
“He put me on the map. The world I’d been trying to break into for ten plus years, flunking auditions left and right,” said the British-born actress, whose career took a 180-turn skyward following her turn the 2001 L.A. noir movie that Lynch morphed from a deep-sixed ABC TV pilot into an Oscar-nominated movie from Universal.
Watts played the doppelganger roles of Betty Elms and Diane Selwyn alongside co-stars Laura Harring, Justin Theroux and Robert Forster.

In 2013, there were two high-profile Hollywood movies about terrorists invading the White House, and the brave Secret Service agents who stepped forward to protect a beleaguered President. On June 28, Roland Emmerich's excellent "White House Down" was released in theaters, and it starred Channing Tatum as the beleaguered agent, and Jamie Foxx as the president. The bad guy terrorist was played by Jason Clarke. "White House Down" also starred Maggie Gyllenhaal, Joey King, and Richard Jenkins. It was, for my money, one of the best films of 2013.
A broader audience, however, better remembers Antoine Fuqua's "Olympus Has Fallen," which beat "White House Down" to theaters by about three months. Presented by Steven C. Miller’s Werewolves, Bloody Disgusting is looking to the stars and howling at the moon with Werewolves Week. Today, Rachel Reeves takes a bite out of seven under-seen werewolf movies you don’t want to miss.
Werewolves have long prowled the shadows of horror cinema, their natural knack for a meaty metaphor and fur-clad ferocity captivating audiences for generations. While classics like An American Werewolf in London, The Howling, and The Wolf Man often lead the crowded werewolf genre pack, it also teems with lesser-known gems waiting to sink their teeth into new fans.
From campy cult favorites to atmospheric thrillers brimming with eerie allure, the enduring appeal of the werewolf metaphor lies in its raw exploration of duality—the primal versus the civilized, man versus the beast. It’s a vessel for themes of transformation, rage, addiction and identity, resonating with anyone who has wrestled with their inner demons.

Breaking Bad was an epic crime drama on AMC that pulled inspiration from numerous shows and movies. One of their biggest influences came from the director Quentin Tarantino. Tarantino has always been known for a unique style and quirky dialogue, all while diving deeper into violent depictions of realistic situations. The creators of Breaking Bad were clearly big fans of Tarantino's work because there were numerous references to Tarantino's films throughout the five seasons of the show.
Breaking Bad has Easter Eggs referencing the movies Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Jackie Brown within the show. Pulp Fiction was most frequently referenced, but it wasn't just about these films by Tarantino. Breaking Bad took on stylistic choices in dialogue, demonstrated graphic violence, and even embraced realism just like Tarantino.

James Gunn is a curious figure in popular culture. As a young man, just rising in the film business, Gunn co-wrote the witty and disgusting Troma epic "Tromeo & Juliet" with Lloyd Kaufman, and it featured kinky sex, a bisexual Juliet, cow monsters, mutant penis creatures, and an opening narration by Lemmy from Motörhead. After that, Gunn took the piss out of the superhero genre with "The Specials," a low-low budget film about what superheroes — petty jerks, mostly — do on their day off. He stayed aloft in Hollywood writing the screenplays for two surreal "Scooby-Doo" movies, and Zack Snyder's remake of "Dawn of the Dead" before making his directorial debut in 2006 with "Slither," another gross movie about body-invading worm monsters and wacko mutants.
Gunn then deconstructed superheroes even further with "Super" in 2010, a film that hypothesizes that superheroes are mentally ill and addicted to extreme violence. "Super" is bleak,...

Nobody blends B-movie grit with A-list precision quite like Quentin Tarantino. With razor-sharp dialogue, an unmatched penchant for genre fusion, and whole-lotta feet, it is no wonder Tarantino’s work transformed the indie film scene in the early 90s.
John Travolta (L) and Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction | Credits: Miramax Films
With nine official films (and a last project on the cards), there’s everything here – from visceral revenge tales to character studies. This is our ranking of Tarantino’s films worst to best, in a quaint attempt to celebrate a director whose work remains endlessly cool; nevertheless, fiercely debated.
9. Death Proof (2007)
Death Proof is pure, audacious Tarantino. A tantalizing ode to ’70s B-movie thrills has Kurt Russell as Stuntman Mike, a charming psycho who picks off talkative women with his “death-proof” car. While not everyone’s cup of tea, the movie’s stripped-down, no-studio-strings vibe and rapid-fire dialogue are undeniably Qt.

Even though Breaking Bad fans knew what the endgame would be for the origin stories of Saul Goodman and Mike Ehrmantraut in the prequel series, Better Call Saul, the show managed to keep surprising them in more ways than they could have imagined. It was the kind of show where fans would analyze the hidden and obvious symbolisms that were placed throughout each episode, and rejoice at the fan service provided by returning characters and Easter egg references. If a fan happened to notice what might have been an ominous piece of foreshadowing, they were usually right about it. Quentin Tarantino became a household name after Pulp Fiction, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year. And while that film is getting a 4K Ultra HD Collector’s Edition, Blu-ray.com has announced the 4K release of Tarantino’s follow-up — Jackie Brown. The movie is an adaptation of the Elmore Leonard book, Rum Punch, and the 1997 film stars starring Pam Grier, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Forster, Bridget Fonda, and Michael Keaton. This release is expected to hit retailers in the second half of January.
The description reads,
“When flight attendant Jackie Brown (Pam Grier) is busted smuggling money for her arms dealer boss, Ordell Robbie (Samuel L. Jackson), agent Ray Nicolette (Michael Keaton) and detective Mark Dargus (Michael Bowen) want her help to bring down Robbie. Facing jail time for her silence or death for her cooperation, Brown decides instead to double-cross both parties and make off with the smuggled money.

In "Breaking Bad," we last see criminal lawyer Saul Goodman in the penultimate episode, "Granite State." Like Walter White/Heisenberg (Bryan Cranston), he employs the services of Ed (Robert Forster), a professional who specializes in relocating wanted people and giving them new identities. Saul laments that thanks to Walt, his glory days are over: "From here on out, I'm mister low profile. Just another douchebag with a job and three pairs of Dockers. If I'm lucky, three months from now, best case scenario, I'm managing a Cinnabon in Omaha."
Then came the prequel/sequel series "Better Call Saul". The very first scene shows this is exactly what happened to Saul (now going by "Gene Takovic"). When I first saw this, it felt a little too cutesy and on-the-nose, but it was an easily forgotten complaint.

Bubble, boil, steam, and burn, it’s time to watch those film reels turn. That’s right, it’s October, which means it’s almost Halloween, but the minute the clock struck midnight on the 1st, we here at IndieWire were already decked in black and frightening our office mates at Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. While carving pumpkins, eating candy, and donning elaborate costumes may be how most ring in this special time of year, we believe there’s no better celebration of spooky season than entering a dark theater and sharing a few collective screams with strangers.
This month, repertory theaters in New York and Los Angeles have plenty of offerings to get those lungs expanding and heart beating. From black-and-white classics like Don Siegel’s “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” (1956) to modern monster favorites such as “The Mummy” (1999) starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, don’t miss...

After a life of crime that resulted in Breaking Bad's Jimmy McGill (aka Saul Goodman) going on the run, the former attorney wound up managing a Cinnabon in Omaha using the alias "Gene." However, the tasty pastry retailer was not the original choice for where Saul would end up with his new identity.
On social media, Better Call Saul co-creator Peter Gould shared an image from an early draft of the script for the penultimate episode of Breaking Bad. This was the episode that established that Saul (Bob Odenkirk) would be managing a Cinnabon after getting a new identity from the "Disappearer" (Robert Forster). The early draft of the script reveals that Saul's dialogue was altered slightly, as he was originally written to tell Walter White (Bryan Cranston) that he would be "managing a Hot Topic in Omaha."

A while back, Cocaine Bear surprised everyone with its box office haul. For fans of animal attack movies, this is not a shock. People love animal attack films and can’t get enough of them. I’m not sure if it’s the man vs. nature theme of the films, the animals themselves getting revenge on humans, or just the all-around fun these films bring. No matter what, they are enjoyable for audiences in theaters. There has been a long history of animals attacking humans on film. Some films that are classified as ‘classic’ cinema fall into the animal attack category. We can always use more movies of animals rampaging through humans on the big screen. What are some of the best animal attack movies?
Grizzly (1976)
Since bears seem to be on everyone’s brain this weekend; then we might as well start with this classic.

For comedy fans of a certain age, watching VHS copies of the 1982 concert film “Richard Pryor: Live on the Sunset Strip” until the tape fell off of the spools was a rite of passage. Until Eddie Murphy‘s “Raw” dethroned it later in the 1980s, it was the most successful stand-up special of all time, and understandably so; marking Pryor‘s return to the stage after the freebasing accident that almost killed him, it was not only hilarious but revealing and poignant — the passage toward the end of the film in which Pryor personifies his crack pipe and acts out his own struggles with it is one of the most potent depictions of addiction ever put on screen.
The problem is that those VHS copies, as well as the blurry transfers on cable television where “Sunset Strip” was a staple for years, captured the greatness of Pryor’s performance but...

Michael Keaton speaks out regarding his opinions on one key Quentin Tarantino movie. Tarantino has been a notable name in Hollywood since the 1990s, making his breakout film Reservoir Dogs in 1992. Since then, Tarantino has gone on to direct notable works including Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill movies. The director's most recent film was Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood, which was released in 2019 to largely positive reviews.
In a Wired autocomplete interview, actor Keaton explains why he thinks Tarantino's Jackie Brown is so great.
Speaking on his Tarantino film, Keaton noted that "Jackie Brown's great!" The actor went on to laud how th Tarantino film "broke everything down to its simplest form," by "telling just a very simple narrative." It's amazing that Stephen King finds time to read and watch movies with what a busy writer he is, but he does it. The author frequently shares book, film, and TV recommendations on social media (he loves the Kurt Russell Western "Bone Tomahawk.") King also makes the time to film cameos in movies and TV, both adaptations of his work and, in 2010, the "Sons of Anarchy" episode "Caregiver." (King played a laconic "cleaner" named Bachman after his old pen name Richard Bachman.)
King loves "Sons of Anarchy," but he has room in his heart for more than one prestige TV crime thriller. In a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, King was asked what the best TV show of the past 15 years is. He answered "Breaking Bad," saying he saw its greatness from the very first scene, where Walter White (Bryan Cranston) scrambles in the desert wearing tighty-whities.

Breaking Bad's core characters' post-finale fates remain uncertain, with only a few having definitive conclusions. Jesse Pinkman starts a new life in Alaska after escaping, providing closure to his character arc in El Camino. Skyler White accepts a plea deal from the government, facing potential struggles without Walt's intended money.
While Breaking Bad ends with the death of Walter White, there are a lot of questions about what happened to the show's other key characters afterward. The acclaimed show featured a rich cast of memorable characters in its portrayal of Albuquerque's drug underworld, but only a few made it out of the series alive. Of the survivors, much of their fate is left unknown and uncertain. However, the spinoff Better Call Saul and the Netflix movie El Camino provide at least some idea of what happened to Breaking Bad's core characters after the final episode "Felina."

“I directed the best political movie never released.”
Filmmaker Haskell Wexler thus described Medium Cool, his violent feature set during Chicago’s riotous 1968 Democratic National Convention. His movie opened (sort of) exactly 55 years ago this week.
The Paramount release won ardent support from critics and (briefly) from ticket buyers but was renounced by leaders of the Democratic Party and the Chicago police. Their criticism was short-lived because the negative would quickly disappear. A Paramount spokesman was reluctant to confirm it had ever been made.
The mysteries of Medium Cool seemed relevant to cineastes this week as history threatened to repeat itself in Chicago. As in 1968, the chaos at the Democratic convention would be triggered by an overseas conflict – Gaza now, Vietnam then. But the police this week showed they’d learned from the bitter lessons of ’68 when violence jeopardized the political process and the election itself.

Damsel (2018) is an underrated comedy western masterpiece that showcases Robert Pattinson's funniest performance yet. Comedy westerns have a rich history with classics like Blazing Saddles (1974) paving the way for films like Damsel. We're in an interesting cultural moment. For a while, it seemed like society was becoming more progressive, and the film industry seemed to follow suit; there are more stories being told now, about more kinds of people. However, if you take a cursory look at Film Twitter or FilmTok, you're likely to find people complaining about "unnecessary sex scenes." There's a backlash brewing, a sense that movies need to get back to an imagined past when everything was about plot.
A lot of that concern involves kids, as if the two kinds of entertainment are either "Oppenheimer" or "Bluey." In fact, there's a lot of middle ground, and there used to be even more. Especially in the 1980s and 1990s, a lot of family-friendly films included scenes for adults that felt a bit out of place but made it in anyway. These days, a lot of those violent, strange edges...

David Lynch is one of the biggest creative geniuses of our time. The filmmaker has left us with numerous memorable works such as Blue Velvet, Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, and Mulholland Drive, but his arguably best and most famous work is the Twin Peaks television series, which became a cult classic of the mystery genre. Some years ago, the series returned with an epic third season which, in Lynch’s usual manner, ended on a cliffhanger. And while the director has said that there are some “calls” for another season, no work has been done.

Plot: In the United States, amid a brutal civil war, a team of journalists drive from New York to Washington D.C, where they’ve been promised an interview with the president.
Review: A24 is the only movie studio I know of that’s picked up a cult following of its own. Their brand has become one of the most trusted among discerning film fans, delivering a slew of interesting, provocative movies that fit all genres. In some ways, they are a throwback to an older kind of filmmaking in that they’ve never focused on chasing franchises and have always been filmmaker-focused. They’ve always taken risks, and it’s paid off more than it hasn’t. However, their latest film, Civil War, is arguably their riskiest movie, sporting their biggest budget (north of $50 million) and subject matter that could be seen as a bit of a political powder keg.

Looking through Shim Hyung-rae’s small oeuvre, it would only make sense for the South Korean comedian-turned-filmmaker to create a movie like Dragon Wars: D-War. As early as 1993, Shim was playing with monsters; his directorial debut, Young-Goo and Dinosaur Zu-Zu, is derivative of Gorgo, Mothra and the like. Shim returned soon after with more monster mayhem in two other obscurities: Tyranno’s Claws and Dragon Tukka. His big break then came in 1999 with the high-budget remake of 1967’s Yongary, Monster from the Deep. As exciting as the opportunity was, Shim ultimately experienced unforeseen hardship after directing what was, at the time, the most expensive Korean-produced movie.
Yonggary, or Reptilian in the West, led to a challenging period for Shim. This ‘99 movie could have easily been the end of his career. Strangely, though, it was not the critical derision that caused Shim’s personal crisis. On the contrary, a shady distribution...
