Agatha All Along has been a fantastic series, and there are more shows to watch if you love that witchy magic!
The Marvel Television series has become a major hit for Disney Plus. This sequel to WandaVision has Kathryn Hahn reprising her scene-stealing role as witch Agatha Harkness, the secret architect of much of the chaos. After regaining her memory and powers, Agatha goes on a quest for more power with the uneasy aid of other witches and a mysterious Teen.
The show has a wonderful mix of dark humor, action, thrills, drama and some truly shocking twists. It’s one of many TV shows that use witches and magic, most aimed at a YA audience. Others do have the same appeal as Agatha with a darker take on magic yet some truly offbeat storytelling.
Narrowing it down can be hard, but these 15 shows are just for anyone who enjoyed Agatha All Along.

Charmed stars Holly Marie Combs, Rose McGowan and Dorian Gregory, and Beverly Hills, 90210 stars Jennie Garth, Gabrielle Carteris and Brian Austin Green remembered former costar Shannen Doherty two months after her death at the Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed panels at 90s Con in Daytona Beach, Florida. Beverly Hills, 90210 The cast of Beverly Hills 90210, courtesy of Everett Collection The Beverly Hills, 90210 panel began with the audience giving a special cheer in Doherty’s honor. “To see how much she means to all of you,” Jennie Garth said, “she was a very special woman, and we miss her so much.” Her former costars found a lot of meaning, and a lot to honor, in Doherty’s openness about her long battle with breast cancer. “I have a friend right now who’s really sick with cancer, and she said that Shannen really inspired her,” Gabrielle Carteris said. “So I...

Charmed star Rose McGowan reflects on her casting in the series. McGowan played Paige Matthews in Charmed, beginning in season 4 in 2001. Paige came in as a character in the show following Charmed season 3's loss of Prue, who was played by Shannen Doherty in the series for the first three seasons. Doherty's departure from Charmed was controversial, and it is something that she spoke about as recently as this year, before her tragic death from cancer in July.
Speaking on the Let's Be Clear podcast, McGowan reflects on what it was like to replace Doherty on the show. The actor explained that when she arrived at the set of Charmed, she "did not understand the backstory" surrounding the conditions of Doherty's departure from the show, and was just "told she was fired and nobody talked about her." McGowan went on to explain the media storm that ensued afterward, wherein various...

In the latest episode of “Let’s Be Clear,” the podcast started by Shannen Doherty before her passing, Rose McGowan shared her reflections on their relationship.
Doherty, who passed away at 53 in July after a prolonged battle with cancer, had a complex but ultimately reconciled relationship with McGowan, who replaced her on the TV show “Charmed” in 2001.
McGowan’s Heartfelt Expression Towards Late Shannen Doherty
McGowan, now 50, expressed her regrets about not having had more time with Doherty and not participating in the podcast with her.
She noted that their publicized relationship made their private time together all the more precious. “I do regret not doing the podcast with her, but at the same time, having that period of time just for us was really special,” McGowan said.

Charmed's storytelling and character development allowed it to grow a cult following despite time slot changes. Shows like Chilling Adventures of Sabrina offer a darker take on witches, similar to the tone of Charmed. The Originals and Locke & Key share themes of sibling dynamics and magical powers, like Charmed.
Charmed and its iconic group of sisters have had a presence in pop culture for nearly 30 years now with an impressive legacy in the supernatural genre that can be seen in various shows like it. Premiering on The WB in 1998, Charmed follows sisters who learn they are witches and fight against supernatural antagonists. Charmed went through a few time slot adjustments that would typically cause a series to decline in ratings and inevitably get canceled. However, the storytelling and the characterization of the Halliwell sisters were enough to allow the show to quickly grow a cult following, and eventually get a...

There are various suggestions as to when the slasher movie sub-genre began, but it's safe to say it's been with us for at least 60 years. And in those 60 years, there's been a lot of dreck. That's not a bad thing, mind you — dreck can be fun! The slasher film, with its propensity for graphic kills and unstoppable killers taking center stage, is prone to sleaze and cheese, and that can be mighty enjoyable. It's a matter of taste — can you stomach what's being churned out? Or will you head to the toilet and lose your lunch? And then ... will you come back for more?
A new month is upon us, which means it's time for me to yet again highlight some streaming horror titles. And this month is all about slashers! Before we get to it, some ground rules. I tried not to be too obvious here. There are a...

In a special episode of the Charmed rewatch podcast The House of Halliwell, Combs told her fellow castmates Brian Krause and Drew Fuller that she and Doherty thought they had “more time” together in friendship, as they had “big plans for this year.”
“She didn’t think she was going anywhere anytime soon,” Combs said. She also revealed that Doherty was going to take a trip to Italy and “was considering moving” there as well. Combs noted the irony of Fuller cutting his vacation in Italy short upon hearing the news of his former co-star’s death. “She was definitely laughing at you running through the airport,” Combs remarked.

Holly Marie Combs is paying tribute to her former Charmed co-star and longtime friend Shannen Doherty.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, the actress remembered Doherty who she described as her “better half.”
“My better half of 31 years. There is a hollow in my chest and I can’t seem to catch my breath. A part of me is missing even though I know exactly what you would say to me right now. I know exactly what you would tell me to do right now. I know your undying spirit will live in me and my kids who you loved as your own. They will walk with your sense of purpose and pride. They will be truthful and stand up for what is right. No matter what and zero fucks given. Your fire will live on in them and the many other Charmed ones you helped raise.”
Combs continued, “A fierce fighter til the end.

Updated Monday: Spelling Television’s Charmed was among the most successful CW series, running for eight seasons. Its original premise revolved around a trio of sisters, Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs), and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) — known as The Charmed Ones — powerful good witches who use their combined “Power of Three” to protect others.
That setup changed after the first three seasons when Doherty departed the series in one of the most talked about series exits, with the attention focusing on Dohery’s relationship with Milano. Following Doherty’s death from cancer at the age 53, Milano spoke of her co-star in a statement, a copy of which was obtained by Deadline.
Additionally, Combs and several other Charmed cast members, including Rose McGowan, who succeeded Doherty on the show, posted tributes on social media.

Shannen Doherty had recorded five episodes for the Charmed rewatch podcast The House of Halliwell before her death on July 13.
In the last episode of Doherty’s Let’s Be Clear — released on Monday, July 8, before her passing — the Charmed alum had announced alongside her friend and former Charmed costar Holly Marie Combs that she was joining The House of Halliwell hosted by Combs, Brian Krause and Drew Fuller. In the podcast, the former co-stars “have an authentic and genuine conversation about each successive episode — the demon du jour, over-arching themes, outfit choices, hair choices, man choices (lol), memories from set and their individual acting process for any given scene,” as described on the podcast’s website.
The rewatch podcast, first launched in 2022, had went on a hiatus last October. The podcast was then set to be rebooted with Doherty joining. Doherty revealed that she had previously declined to join 18 months before.

Shannen Doherty — the star of “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “Heathers” and “Charmed,” among dozens of other credits — was a gifted actor who immediately got your attention on screen. Her black hair, green eyes and slightly crooked teeth made her stand out, even as a child: No one looked like her. And then her line delivery, with her forceful, at times awkward cadence, made viewers lean in to listen. Doherty frequently looked pissed; it was easy to think that perhaps she was pissed.
Generation X lost an icon this weekend with Doherty’s death at age 53. She’s the second member of the “Beverly Hills, 90210” cast to die, after Luke Perry died of a stroke in 2019 at age 52. There has been much debate and discussion over why Shannen Doherty left Charmed just three seasons in. Most fingers – including Doherty’s – point to co-star Alyssa Milano, although she has hardly fessed up to any wrongdoing. Whatever the true case may be, when Prue Halliwell was killed off in “All Hell Breaks Loose”, that was it for Shannen Doherty’s Charmed run. And that includes the series finale, “Forever Charmed”, which is one of the finest of its time despite her absence.
Speaking on her own Let’s Be Clear podcast (via The Hollywood Reporter), Shannen Doherty says she wishes she could have given Charmed fans a different sendoff by being part of “Forever Charmed” but knows it wouldn’t have benefited her. “I regret it one sense, I regret it for the fans. Shannen Doherty rehashed more co-star drama this week, this time stemming from the set of Beverly Hills, 90210.
The actress recounted a prank gone wrong between herself and co-star Jennie Garth during a conversation on her Let’s Be Clear podcast with fellow 90210 star Brian Austin Green.
“[Jennie] was doing, she was calling it ‘Pants-Down Day,’ where she would pull the pants on some of the crewmembers in a funny way,” Doherty recalled of her time on the 90210 set. “But some of them were getting pretty annoyed with it.”
In response, Doherty said, “I reversed it and I said, ‘Skirt-Up Day.’ And she always wore the men’s Calvin Klein boxer shorts under her clothes, so I didn’t think it was that big of a deal. And so I did ‘Skirt-Up Day’ and oh my God, she lost it on me, and I was just not in the mood to back down.

Charmed is one of the biggest shows of the ’90s and ’00s.
The series, which premiered on The WB for eight seasons from October 1998 through May of 2006, centers around three sisters with unique magical powers, also known as the Charmed Ones, who are the most powerful good witches in the world. Using their powers (the Power of Three!), they protect the world from evil.
The first three seasons featured Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano) as the trio, until Shannen left in 2001, being replaced by Rose McGowan as the long-lost younger half-sister Paige Matthews in Season 4.
By 2018, the series got a reboot at The CW, which ran for four seasons until May of 2022.

Shannen Doherty is tired of the back and forth with her one-time Charmed co-star, Alyssa Milano.
The pair have been going back and forth for years after their relationship became strained while working on the supernatural drama.
Doherty previously spoke out about her feud with Milano, alleging that her nemesis gave producers an ultimatum that got her written off the show following Season 3.
For the record, Milano has vehemently denied the allegation, saying during a Who’s the Boss? panel at MegaCon Orlando that it’s a shame “people can’t move past it,” according to People.
In the aftermath of the panel, Milano doubled down on Instagram, claiming she didn’t have “the power to get anyone fired.”
Instead, Milano said it came down to the late Aaron Spelling, who followed the advice of a professional mediator amid the on-set drama.

An emotional Shannen Doherty has responded to Alyssa Milano‘s recent comments, in which she denied having anything to do with Doherty’s firing from Charmed in 2001. As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Doherty and her former Charmed co-stars Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan addressed comments she made on her Let’s Be Clear podcast during a panel at the MegaCon Orlando event on Sunday, February 4. “Holly and I, we were not mean on the podcast,” Doherty said, referring to a December episode of her podcast where she claimed Milano had a hand in her exit from the hit WB series. “In fact, we went in and we edited out anything that we felt would cause more drama.” She continued, “We simply told the truth because the truth actually does matter. But we wanted to try to save you, the fans, from heartbreak as much as humanly possible.” Doherty, who is battling stage 4 breast cancer,...

Update: Alyssa addressed the situation again on Instagram and denied that she was involved in the firing.
Read her whole statement: “I don’t know one other show that has had the success that Charmed had where the cast still speaks ill of the experience a quarter of a century later. This is 15 movies and 13 TV shows ago for me. This was 11 years before my 15 year marriage and 13 years before having my first child. This was so long ago that any retelling of these stories from anyone is just revisionist history. I will add, though, with absolute certainty—everything was documented. There was a professional mediator (I was told Holly and Shannen would not participate in any mediation) and an on-set producer/babysitter who were both brought in to investigate all claims. It was then recommended by this mediator, after collecting testimony from cast And crew—what changes should be...

Alyssa Milano, who played Phoebe in the hit WB series “Charmed,” took to a panel hosted by Collider to respond to claims that she was responsible for Shannen Doherty’s exit from the fantasy drama series back in 2001.
While not denying the claims, Milano expressed that it was “sad.”
“I don’t think it’s really that I’m sad for me or for my life or how it does or does not affect my life. I’m the most sad for the fans. I’m the most sad that a show that has meant so much to so many people has been tarnished by a toxicity that is still to this day, almost a quarter of a century later, still happening,” Milano said at the panel. “And I’m sad that people can’t move past it. Alyssa Milano is speaking out against claims that she got Shannen Doherty fired from Charmed.
The actress took to social media on Saturday to share her thoughts about Doherty and Holly Marie Combs saying Milano got the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum let go from the USA series in 2001.
Her statement comes a month after Doherty stated on her podcast, Let’s Be Clear, that Milano got her fired from the show. Combs supported these claims by detailing a conversation she had at the time with Charmed producer Jonathan Levin, who told her that Milano gave the studio an ultimatum of her or Doherty, and they allegedly chose her.
Milano attended MegaCon in Orlando on Feb. 2, where she was asked about her co-stars saying that she was responsible for (spoiler alert!) Doherty’s character being killed off in the show’s season three finale.
