Chicago Fire welcomed back Boden under very intense circumstances during Wednesday’s episode, which kicked off with one of 51’s own in the hospital and fighting for their life.
As Boden grilled Chief Pascal and his officers — Severide, Herrmann and Kidd — to find out what went wrong, the identity of the injured firefighter remained a tantalizing mystery. And there were a few probable candidates: Carver, who just returned from furlough after 30 days, which made Boden question if he was ready to get back to work. Then there was Cruz, who hadn’t slept well the night before. But while viewers...

Firehouse 51 is losing a couple of key crew members: Chicago Fire cast members Daniel Kyri and Jake Lockett are leaving the NBC drama at season’s end and won’t return if the show is renewed for a 14th season, our sister site Deadline reports.
The report says the cast exits are “part of an effort to trim the budget” of the long-running drama and come “amid rumblings about cuts across Wolf Entertainment’s NBC series.” It’s possible Fire’s remaining cast members will see another reduction in the number of episodes they appear in each season, following a similar reduction two years ago.

[Warning: The following post contains Major spoilers for The Challenge: All Stars Rivals finale, “All Stars: An Un-Rivaled Twist.”] The Challenge: All Stars Season 5 came to a thrilling end on Wednesday (April 16) night’s finale. Not only was there a win, with another “Rivals”-themed decision whether to keep or split the dough, but there was also an unexpected marriage proposal to cap it all off! After the first four checkpoints, Shane Landrum and Da’Vonne Rogers led the final four with a whopping 13 stars. Just behind them were Adam Larson and Steve Meinke with 10, Nicole Zanatta and Melissa Reeves with nine, and Frank Sweeney and Sam McGinn with seven stars. Though Shane and Da’Vonne’s lead was no joke, it was still anyone’s game coming into the second day of the final. The next checkpoint was a combination of eating and trivia called, “Pho King Trivia” (which host T.J. Lavin probably loved saying out loud). It ...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Abbott Elementary Season 4, Episode 22, “Straight to Hell.”] Abbott Elementary‘s Season 4 finale has arrived, making way for the show’s latest field trip, which happened to shoot on location at Philadelphia’s Please Touch Museum. While the event saw students of all grades participate, it was a particularly big occasion for teacher Janine (Quinta Brunson), who was meeting boyfriend Gregory’s (Tyler James Williams) father, Martin (Orlando Jones), for the first time ever. Insisting she’d win Martin over, Janine headed into the day confident, but that began to slip as Gregory continued to warn that his father wasn’t likely to mesh well with her bubbly energy. And so, before Janine departed the school for the museum, she stole Gregory’s blazer, donning it to get into “character,” taking on characteristics of Gregory to try and impress his father. The scenario made for plenty of laughs as Janine attempted...

Spoiler Alert: This interview contains spoilers for the Season 4 finale of “Abbott Elementary.”
Four years in, the “Abbott Elementary” field trip episode is a time-honored tradition. Except for Season 3, when the field trip was the penultimate episode, each of the ABC sitcom’s season finales has taken place off-campus, where the teachers and students run into problems and feelings that don’t normally come up in the classroom.
This year, the group ventured to Philadelphia’s Please Touch Museum, a collection of interactive exhibits that allow kids to get their hands dirty, safe from most museum’s “please don’t touch” ethos.

Last week’s episode of Raw streamed live on Netflix from Brussels, Belgium, where John Cena made his highly anticipated return after attacking Cody Rhodes at the Elimination Chamber. Cena, who is normally a fan favorite, drew a polarizing response from the vocal crowd, with some in the arena cheering him and others booing.
After Cena criticized the entire audience, including his supporters (and even a child wearing his merch), Rhodes interrupted, meeting an uncharacteristically angry Cena in the ring and telling him, “I was excited at the prospect of going week-to-week, face-to-face with John Cena. Instead, I got this.”
Today, streaming live from Glasgow, Scotland, Cena and Rhodes will both be in the building, which provides perhaps another opportunity for the two to meet each other in the ring, face-to-face. But theirs is not the only tension slowly coming to a boil.

Just when it looked like they might be out, a number of TV shows have pulled the art of opening title themes back in.
Some title tracks are bespoke pieces of score created by composers — like the delightful romp of piano, vocals, and paintbucket percussion in Siddhartha Khosla’s theme for “Only Murders in the Building.” Existing songs can be a great gateway into an episode, particularly when a show engages with it head-on. It will be many months before HBO vacations at The White Lotus again — but we’ll happily fill the time by speculating wildly about Season 4.
At this point, we know very little about the fourth season of Mike White’s satire, other than the fact that it’s happening, having been announced by HBO in January. But the exact location? No clue. And the cast? Still to be determined… which is where you come in.

Despite Ryan Seacrest being single himself, he tried to be a wingman for a contestant on Wheel of Fortune who had a not-so-popular job. The game show contestant also revealed that she wants to go on a dating show. Nikki Lopez, from Melbourne, Florida, played against Julie Allen, from Spokane, Washington, and Thomas Young, from Detroit, Michigan, on Tuesday’s (April 15) show. Netflix, which financial analysts have crowned the undisputed subscription-streaming leader, kicks off the media and entertainment sector’s Q1 earnings this week. Wall Street anticipates that Netflix will report strong results for the period — the first quarter it will no longer disclose subscriber counts — and that the company is relatively well positioned to withstand economic headwinds.

We think we know the song that might get stuck in your head for a bit this week, thanks to Doctor Who. This next episode, titled “Lux,” features Alan Cumming voicing the animated Mr Ring-a-Ding, and TV Insider has an exclusive sneak peek of the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda (Varada Sethu) getting a look at and meeting him for the first time. In the clip, the two cautiously approach the singing character at the front of the theater. “What a fine and dandy day, and who might you be?” Mr Ring-a-Ding asks. The Doctor introduces himself and Belinda and asks who he is — then has to put a stop to Mr Ring-a-Ding singing. “You’re a cartoon,” the Time Lord says. “Don’t make me laugh,” Mr Ring-a-Ding says. “You are a living cartoon,” the Doctor says, amazed. Belinda’s confused, considering the technology for such a thing shouldn’t exist yet.

When it comes to Jeopardy!, fans have a keen ear and eye on what happens during the game show. And some fans have noticed that host Ken Jennings keeps subtly repeating a famous quote from Die Hard. “‘Double Jeopardy, where the scores can really change!’ Ken’s said this a couple of times. Is he quoting John McClane in Die Hard?” a Reddit user asked. John McClane was the main character in the 1988 film, who was portrayed by Bruce Willis. “100%,” said one user. “Yes,” wrote another. In Die Hard, McClane referenced Jeopardy! when he said to Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman), “Sorry, Hans, wrong guess. Would you like to go for Double Jeopardy, where the scores can really change?” One Reddit user said that original host Art Fleming used to say the quote that Jennings does all the time. “Die Hard was quoting Art. Winning Survivor means collecting a $1 million payday. But only one person can win the season, so what about everybody else? While very little has been said about the salaries of Survivor contestants, there is a bit known about whether players who aren’t the Sole Survivor actually walk away with any money. Scroll down for everything we know! Are Survivor contestants paid? Yes, Survivor contestants do get paid, but the amount is dependent upon how long they last in the competition. In 2021, Corinne Kaplan, who appeared on Seasons 17 and 26, opened up about how much contestants earn from the show. “I think people are always surprised to learn that we do earn money,” she said on the Trading Secrets podcast. “The same pot of money exists no matter how many players there are.” This, of course, means that the amount each person gets is dependent on how many cast members appear...

She was very witty. A Wheel of Fortune contestant solved a tough puzzle before the timer started to count down. This resulted in her winning a Ford Bronco. Julie Allen, from Spokane, Washington, played against Thomas Young, from Detroit, Michigan, and Nikki Lopez, from Melbourne, Florida, on Tuesday, April 16. You know what they say about old habits. The entire first season of “Daredevil: Born Again” has seen Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin trying (admittedly not very hard) not to slip into previous patterns, but the Season 1 finale brings them firmly back to square one — and to the truth of who they are.
Written by Aaron Moorhead & Justin Benson and directed by Heather Bellson & Dario Scardapane, “Straight to Hell” charts every character’s descent in the fateful hours after Matt gets shot — and yes, that’s every character including New York City itself. Mayor Fisk is flying high after cheating death once again, and it launches his power into newly unchecked but familiarly tyrannical territory.
First, he pulls the trigger on a citywide blackout (“send in our friend from ConEd”) in which the anti-vigilante task force reigns terror. Any violence or looting that took place without...
