Out of the imagination of acclaimed artist-filmmaker Henry Coombes comes Albert, an eccentric, aging painter doubling as an unconventional, Jung-inspired psychotherapist. When Albert's friend asks him to counsel her lethargic grandson Ben, whose ongoing boyfriend problems are rapidly fueling an already deep depression, their subsequent therapy sessions reveal as much about Albert as they do about the troubled young man. Coombes' debut feature is a witty, perceptive study of social mores, sexual excess and the bizarre, symbiotic relationship between doctor and patient; teacher and pupil; artist and muse.

Enmeshed in a life where violence is second nature, 13-year-old Nico is badly beaten by his brother while playing with fireworks. To gain revenge, he steals his brothers' cat. Unable to return home, he meets up with some other kids, and they head to the railway track where two of the boys commit an act of mindless brutality. Nico is compelled by the frenzied horror of earlier events to join in. As the day draws to a close, the boys break up and head home and Nico is left to contemplate his actions.

'Irene' is a personal portrayal of three generations of women who all have to face a difficult decision. The film observes particular circumstances which highlight the tension between Irene's desire to live at home and the dangers she faces in doing so.

An archaeology professor is involved in the theft of an ancient sky disk during a lecture tour in Edinburgh and is accused of stealing the antique. With the help of his children's supervisor, he manages to escape. He wants to solve the riddle of the disc and sets off on a journey through Scotland with his rescuer and the children.
