'The Sonics' is the story of a famous '60s rock band of the same name whose nights of debauchery come to an abrupt end when charismatic front man Kloster falls into a coma after a car accident. Kloster wakes up 43 years later to find a drastically changed world but with the same dream of putting the band together again; have that big show which had to be cancelled long time ago; and get his girlfriend, now a retired widow, back.

A great magician and escapologist, is able to escape from most difficult places, but is unable to escape from his ordinary reality. Soon he understands that is faced his hardest challenge: go out from his country.
