In the midst of the French and Indian War, the eldest daughter of a British officer develops an attraction towards an Indian ally who is the last living warrior of his tribe, the Mohicans.

Northmour, deciding that married life would prove too monotonous, gives up his claim on Clara to Cassilis.

Count Boris escapes from Russia during the Revolution with the crown jewels, intending to use them to aid his starving countrymen. Three international crooks--Carstock, Hansen, and Fogarty--plan to steal the jewels, but Hansen meets Marie en route to Yokohama and decides to go straight. They are all engulfed, including Boris, by an earthquake and trapped in a bank vault. Boris is slain. Hansen gets the jewels, which he promises to use helping the poor. He and Marie are rescued, and they plan to marry.

When a man's wife is accused of adultery, her insanely jealous husband gives her young son away to a traveling band of gypsies. Years later, when the son grows up, he sets out to prove that his mother wasn't guilty of adultery but was actually trying to help her sister-in-law escape the clutches of a blackmailer.

After Jack is lured off the steamer by Laura, a gypsy infatuated with Royston, blackjacked, drugged, and thrown into the water, Bos rescues him. At Southampton, where the steamer is wrecked, they save Ruth, who has discovered the certificate, and others in a breeches buoy, while Royston and Laura drown.
