The four of us (Skarde, Fyrcat, Torsten, and I) all have one common goal: to find the goddess Freya and convince her to join us against Odin to end the forever Winter that’s overcome the earth.
But along the way, we encounter more and more hostile enemies—the forces of Odin sent to deter us on our mission.
Not only that, but we’re also suffering internal battles as we all struggle to understand whom we can trust and whom we can’t.
Will the ice of the forever Winter eventually overtake us, or will we be successful in our mission against the gods of Valhalla?
J.R. Rain is the author of 110 novels and counting. He lives on an island in the Pacific Northwest, where he's hard at work on his next novel... and fighting off sparkly vampires.
I don’t know why I wasted my time reading the series. I invested in it for my challenge for the first book and then I did the second book because I wanted to know what was happening and then the third book I wanted to know the ending this series will probably be my least favorite
This final book of this trilogy had me totally spellbound.
As I read more and more about the Norse Gods, it took me straight back to my Primary school years, learning about the various belief systems around the World.
For some reason, Odin, Thor, Freya et al, absolutely fascinated me - and this was decades before Hollywood started making Blockbusters out of their stories!
This trilogy was quite different, though, as Jovi, Torsten, Skarde, Fyrcat, and Ogun, go head to head with these Norse Gods, in a way that totally had me laughing at the end - it was a masterpiece of trickery, worthy of Loki himself, and made an absolutely brilliant ending to this story.
As usual, I'm not going to say the how's and why's, as that's down to you to discover, as you read these stories for yourselves - and, if you don't, then you'll be missing out on a winner, believe me! Lol
Anyhoo, now this trilogy has ended, it's time for me to move on to the next trilogy in the Omnibus, which is called 'Princess of Lost Memories', with Book One being: 'Here to There'.
I haven't a clue what it's about, but then, that's half the fun of reading a book blind, so to speak. I really enjoy the surprise of the plot, and the characters and, so far, Mallory & Rain have totally outclassed themselves with every new story told.
So, I'm off to start reading this first book of the new trilogy, and I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it, as usual!
Jovi and the rest are on a mission to find Freya and get her on board to help fight Odin and end the forever winter covering the earth. There are many obstacles in their way to try and set them of course. Along with the battles from Odin's minions there are internal struggles that they must overcome Will they be able to come together and fight Odin and end the winter or will they have winter for all times. These characters have become such a fun bunch to read . We have Jovi who is very strong willed and wants to find Freya to end the winter . We find some things about Jovi. Even though she is feisty and ready to kick butt. We find out more about her and what she can do. Torsten. Skarde and Frycat are back and fighting along side Jovi. They are wonderful characters that are well written and complex You will get really involved with them from the start. This is an action packed book from the start, you get pulled into the story from chapter one . The authors have painted a bleak picture of winter and the cold and wonderful characters. I know when I started this series I was kind of on the fence with characters but as the series grew so did my love for the characters. They grew and became more complex. This book had all the action and some surprises that will have you on the edge of your seat. The epilogue will have you relaxing and realizing that life goes on and the sun will come out and make things better . This is one of those series that will have you hooked and loving each book. Check it out .
Wolves of Asgard picks up right where Wolves of Winter, book 2, ended. Jovi, Torsten, Skarde, and Fyrcat are on a mission to locate Freya. The goddess is instrumental in going against Odin to save Freya's descendants. As they traverse the lands, Odin's armies come out of the woodwork to impede their plans. There is a lot of internal battles as each character tries to figure out their place, who they are, and whether their travel companions are trustworthy.
The authors created a wonder world and exceptional characters. The characters were complex and their history rich with Norse mythology. This complexity, the way their destinies were intertwined, and the masterful plot kept me engaged in Wolves of Asgard - the whole series, actually. The final book in the trilogy is full of twists, turns, and gasp-out-loud events. I really enjoyed the Wolves of Valhalla series, the characters, their enemies, and their ultimate showdown.
n this final installment of the series, readers follow the group as they attempt to save Midgard. Many has lost their lives and are suffering since Freya is gone. I loved how the question of Jovi being Eir and Skarde's mate was concluded. I enjoyed the relationship with Skarde and Fyrcat. They had passion and intrigue. The epilogue gives insight into the future of the beloved characters.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this story of the Old Norse Gods. The characters are well thought out and realistic. The action flows from scene to scene. If you like Norse History then this series is for you. I love these authors and recommend any book they have written.
Jovi and the journey she's on to save the world takes center stage in the series finale! These books have been action packed from the get go and the this installment is no exception. I highly recommend this series to all my reader friends! A great ending to an amazing series!
This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fast-paced, action packed and I wanted to find out what was going to happen. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by these authors.
