While many of the considerations raised should be continued in the ongoing discussion, major pieces of information and recommendations in the queue below are outdated.</p> <h3>previous (outdated) message</h3> <p>It has been argued that the use of a VM (rather than a more traditional local Drupal environment, like MAMP or Acquia Dev Desktop 2) may be beneficial to those participating in mentored sprints.
